Q:Hi, I don’t see specifications for an arbor size on this saw, what is the arbor size? My saw did not have a blade included. Unsure of why because it was brand new. Thanks so much!

Bad design of blade cover
I love Ridgid tools. This is the first one I have purchased that was not everything I expected. The cover to prevent water splashing on user is attached by two screws under the deck. The piece that holds the cover is supposed to align with the sawblade so the cut tile slides on either side to prevent the blade being pinched. From day, one this device was too thick and caused the tiles to bind when being cut so that they would not move through the saw. I tried adjusting the position several times to no avail. It broke tiles at the end of almost every cut. Probably would never buy another tile saw from Rigid. Bad design.

good saw for the money
Dont be fooled by bad reviews. I bought this for a one time job and invested in a $60 saw blade. Cheaper than renting for a week. Being in the trades for 40 years taught me theres no perfect tool, you just have to adapt a tool for your needs. I mounted the saw on a table and built a makeshift extension, flush to the bed on back and on the left side, as my tiles were 24”x12”. I found the first porcelain tiles broke the corner ( comon with bed type saws). I then turned the tiles upside down and cut several inches in then flipped the tile and finished the cut. No more broken corners. I even cut 1/4” and saw cut straight. The straight edge holds true, toss the sliding guide. Never needed it. I used a large spray bottle to clean between cuts and emptied water every now and then. Nothing wrong with this machine, you just have to adapt its limitations. For $179.00 its great for what it was designed to do

24in rip!
Around the toilet was tricky with straight cuts only from the outside, but was very happy with it's ability to do a 24in rip on porcelain. Splash guard is a must with a wet tile saw. Very happy so far.

It damages tile finish
Like many of other reviews on here have stated, the aluminum base marks your tile gray. I cross cut 12"x24" high gloss glazed porcelain tiles. Cutting them face down to prevent chipping. Table top left gray streaks and scratches on each end. The streaks do not wash off, and the scratches ruined the tile. I had to get the job done, so i placed parchment paper down and that protected from scratching. There must be a burr or sharp edge on the grooves of the saw top. Saw functioned well.

Great for small projects
After paying $100 renting Home Depot’s so so cutters I decided to get my own $149 later and where has this been all my life, wish I’d just bought first, great cuts, self lubricating blade without need for a pump, like a knife through butter on very dense and high quality porcelain. Should be a breeze with other softer tiles!!

Very Pleased; Seems better than others
This saw worked great for me, and I was very pleased with it. Details are below. I looked at several saws in the $69-$149 range (my need is relatively small), and it seems like this one is a better value that the others. The quality, both of construction and design, was a bit better than I expected. If I have another project come-up that requires a wet saw, I'll definitely consider this one again (I sold mine as soon as my project was finished).

It does ok work.
I have had this tile saw for a week now. I feel that I can give fair assessment of the saw now.
Pros:
-price
-compact/ light weight.
-working surface/ 11.5 inches on left, 9 inches on the right.
- cutting speed about 10 sec per foot with the oem blade.
- support arm on the back
- durable.
Cons:
- water guard is not clear, can not see the blade cutting the tile without looking under it.
- chips/cracks the final 1/4 inch every cut.
- does not cut straight, losses 1/16.
- bolts rust after a week.

The stand is what makes this a great buy. Easy...
The stand is what makes this a great buy. Easy fill and empty sump for the water. The guides are a necessity for all different types of cuts. Overall it is better than renting one, it will save you money and your wife will want more tile work done anyway...
