Yes - it has a fence just as a table saw would. You can rip any size material.

Does this wet saw include a water pump or is that separate?
Asked by: TERRY
Water is in the reservoir under the table allowing the blade to be in water during operation, no pump required.

7 in. Tile Saw with Stand is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 96.

I bought this saw to do a tile backsplash in my newly renovated kitchen and to put a tile floor in my bathroom and entry way. I love it. It worked really well for my glass tile backsplash. I did purchase the glass tile blade as the one that comes with the saw is just a tile blade. I haven't used that one, so I cant speak about it yet. But the saw in general is awesome as an entry level DIY saw. Assembly of the stand was a little challenging, but once I figured it out, I love the Stand. I assembled the saw (blade and guard) very easily as well, put water in the reservoir and fired it right up and started to cut tiles. I love the fence as well and it works great and was level right out of the box with no adjustments. My only issue and the reason for the 4 Stars is due to the complicated stand and putting it together and the location of the drain hole in the reservoir. It could be located in a much better location as the stand gets in the way while draining. But I 100% recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible. As others have mentioned the instructions for the stand are incorrect. After looking ... Terrible. As others have mentioned the instructions for the stand are incorrect. After looking at online pictures I was able to put it together correctly (I think). After putting on the cutting wheel, I also discovered that it rubs on the housing and no amount of minor adjustments will fix the problem. A call to Rigid customer service was not helpful. The person I talked to didn't even ask me what model I was inquiring about but did tell me it is not normal for the wheel to rub the housing as if I didn't know this. When I brought up the recent reviews that discuss the same issues, he was silent. When I asked to speak to a superior with knowledge on the problem I was put on hold and after waiting I finally received someone's voicemail. There was no mention of a callback or anything. Would I recommend this product? Definitely not. This was my first Rigid product and after my experience I can safely say I will not be trying any others. This will be heading back to Home Depot this evening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saw-Good, Stand directions Bad Notice the stand pictured has only three legs. I found it useful to mark the “L” legs with a ring of blue painter’s tape. The directions seemed to say attach an “L” leg to an “L” leg with the steel cross bracket. Attach an ”L” to a “R”. Repeat. Nest the pairs together, one bracket up. one down so that “L” legs (blue tape) are outside. Connect using long bolts and plastic spacer. I found a Phillips screwdriver helped line up holes. 13MM socket worked on bolts and ½” socket worked on nuts. Set top pieces upside-down on counter (with wire crossed and leg brackets up) Verify legs will line up with brackets. You can have someone hold legs up while you attach with last 4 bolts but I laid legs flat and attached with aid of screwdriver. 2 saw-horses and a 24" X 48" piece of plywood make a less expensive table. A grout sponge helps block splatter/ water throw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Known defects I wish this purchase had worked out, as the price point was very good. However, after waiting for more than a week for delivery, I proceeded to spend several hours on a stand assembly whose assembly instructions were obviously incorrect. Once I just looked at some online pictures, I was able to get the stand assembled. What should have taken 15min wasted 2 hours. Next, the kicker. As another reviewer mentioned, the blade installation resulted in the blade binding on the table housing. I double checked everything and then callled Ridgid support. They confirmed a known defect that causes this problem. I returned to local Home Depot who were great in assisting a refund and new order. Guess what, the replacement also has the same issue Shame on Ridgid. I have spent 2 weeks and still have no saw. All they would have to do is inspect their products to see if the blade could be installed without binding on the table.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Homeowner OK/Professional No Way The 7" Job-site Wet Tile Saw by Ridgid is a handy little get it done kind of saw for the homeowner but with a couple of issues. First, I used this to cut standard 12" porcelain tile. The cleanness of the cut varied. Sometimes the cut was passable; other times the cut was terrible. I've used other saws and gotten clean cuts every time. This saw has a tendency to leave a rough cut or a cut with the appearance of little nics. One would not want to buy this saw if the cuts were going to show. In my case, all the cuts were perimeter cuts and thus would be hidden by baseboard/shoe moulding. Second, while the fence works fine for standard rip cuts, the miter gauge does not work for 12" tiles. It is better suited to 6" or smaller tiles. If I had known these issues prior to purchasing, I would have opted to 1. investigate the purchase of a larger Ridgid tile saw, or 2. buy another brand of saw with a larger capacity. I suspect the larger Ridgid tile saws with the stationary blade and bearing guided tile bed would give better quality cuts. Despite my misgivings about purchasing this saw, I would recommend it for the average homeowner looking to do a couple of small bathroom, entry, or kitchen tile projects for personal use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update on my previous review "Saw drops into sliding table" Since my review on July 12, 2016 on the saw dropping on the table with angle cuts, the company took the initiative to contact me to pick up my saw to find solutions to the problem. I am very pleased that Ridgid stands behind their product and wants to improve their product. I am sure they could fix the problem because their R4092 10" saw that I am looking at does not have the problem. To hold the saw head in place for the cut depth, the 7" saw has a bolt you tighten which rely on friction to hold it in place. In a wet slippery vibrating environment, the frictional forces can sometimes be overcome. On the 10" R4092, the saw head is held in place by a bolt through an adjustable slot on the frame. As one tightens the bolt, it elongates and the tensile strength of the steel bolt compresses the head mechanism against the adjustable slot. Tighten enough, there is zero possibility for it to work loose. There is also a depth stop. I changed the Value component and my overall rating because the company is willing to improve their product. I am looking forward to their improvements.
