IS 3 AMPS REALLY STRONG ENOUGH?

EVEN THE CHEAPEST $29 JIG SAW IN THE AISLE IS 4.5 AMPS AND THE BETTER ONES ARE AROUND 6 AMPS

I couldn't get the saw to bog down, even through very wet 2 by PT.

Blades included?

does this saw come with a blade (s)?
Asked by: Ser
Yes. In fact, two blades are included - one for metal and the other for wood. I would suggest, however, purchasing new blades - possibly a set of Bosch or the like. The blades that come with the unit are easily bent and lack the "fine" cutting capability of nicer blades. You can get a pack of 4-6 for about $9.00. Be sure you get the "T-style" and NOT the "U".

Fuego 3 Amp Compact Orbital Jig Saw is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 224.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I own many ridgid tools and I love them all. This jig saw is the exception though. I had three of them. Each one broke before the 90 day in store return policy. The blade guide blew to pieces and fell off of all three. I really hope that ridgid ups their game on an improved jigsaw. Go ridgid

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'm not sure where to start 1) underpowered. we could barely cut a straight line in a 2x4. 2) cuts slowly. the scroll feature doesn't see to work. 3) the motor has a soft start and as a result it takes a while for the blade to get to full speed. 4) takes 2 hands to turn on and off 5) the grip is too large and since it has no power you really have to push hard on the handle...which is too big. 6) poor placement of adjustment. When cutting on 1/2 of the cutting deck , the adjustment screw will hang up on the edge of the wood you are trying to cut. 7) the dust feature does not work 8) the head of the blade lock is so low you cant see what you're cutting. 9) the entire body of the saw is so low and wide that it is obstructive to most cuts. 10) no speed adjustment. This is quite possibly the worst saw that I've ever used. It looks appealing for the price but now I'm just going to pony up for a cordless 20V.

Very displeased, I bought ridgid because most of my plumbing tools are top of the line and make Long lasting craftsmanship. I owned the jigsaw for almost 30 days. It was my second time using it and it started getting very hot then the blade stop moving. After waiting about a hour I tried again and it was locked up. The material I was cutting was press board counter top. So I took it back the exchanged it for a ryobi and I couldn't be happier, it works great

I,ve had this jig saw for years now and I decided to give a review. It has been excellent for me for use on my many jobs .Being a General Contractor has led me to use it on a variety of projects like countertops ,plywood ,shiplap pine, poplar and oak boards . I,ve had the opportunity to use other brands as well.Sometimes I,ve been on a job and would for one reason or another borrow someone else,s jig saw, this saw is just as good, if not better than all the other ones I,ve had the opportunity to use. One thing that I,ve seen and don,t understand is the reviewers that are saying that it is hard to see the blade when cutting. I have no problem seeing the blade or my line when using this saw .No one who has borrowed or used the saw has ever commented to me that it was hard to see .I even asked my helpers about this and they,ve said it was fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Switches are Awkward All the switches on this saw are in strange places. It is just awkward to use. It is solidly built and looks like it will last but it is difficult to use. I dislike it intensely.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as original designs. My very first power tool was a jig saw about 40 years ago. The taller or higher design is still the best. It gave a clear view of the cut and was easy to follow the line. These low profile types, make it difficult to see the work. I had to get low to the work and see the cut from a sideways position. The apparent debris management system in the fronts seems under powered. Saw dust still gets in the way. The most unusual thing I found was the description of the on/off switch. While most tools try to promote ease of operation, one hand type controls, the instructions for this tool brags how great it is to use the second hand to power it up. You have to take your hand of your work piece to turn it off. And that is a good thing? I like the soft start, the led light, the easy blade change. It cuts well and the vacuum port is not a bad idea. I just don't like them. They make small tools like this cumbersome. I give it a three but wish I had the tall style again.
