not a factory fit for older Craftsman 16 Gal. Shop Vac
This did not fit well on my older Craftsman 16 gal. shop vac. I made it work, but it is actually a little too long.

Does not fit the VacMaster wall mounted vacuum
I purchased the wall mount VacMaster vacuum from Home Depot online. The order system recommended I also purchase a 2-count package of replacement filters (Rigid brand). I thought that would be a good idea. It wasn't. These filters will not fit the VacMaster vacuum. The Vaacmaster filter is open on top and bottom, the Rigid ones suggested here are closed on top and so cannot fit. (see picture attached)
I gave the filters high marks for the review because I suspect they work well in OTHER vacuums but not the VacMaster wall mounted one.

Thus filter is more than adequite for shop and jobsite work. It fits tightly on the vac so there is no leakage around the filter.
I use it for collecting dust from sanders and picking up dust that my larger dust collection system misses from my jointer, planer, table saw, etc.

the 1-layer everyday dirt pleated paper filter fits perfectly on my 5 gal rigid wet dry vacuum. very easy to install, just unscrew the nut at the bottom of old filter, slide it down and install new filter, screw the nut on and done! takes mere minutes and you are ready to vacuum. there is no dust escape with this filter, it is contained in the vacuum holding tank. i have had this for about a month and love how well it works and meets all my expectations you may want in a filter.
