Fits perfectly
This is the perfect cartridge filter replacement for the Rigid small-sized wet/dry vacuum. This cartridge-filter is well made and seems that it is going to last for a long while. I like this type of cartrige-filters because they are easy to wash with water. I read that it is important to make sure that the cartrige-filter is dry before using it. You cannot go wrong with this product.

Great for helping with fine dust and shop vacuum blowback leakage
I wanted to try a HEPA filter because I am cutting a fair amount of Masonite for a project and am concerned about the dust particles. I attached a RIDGID 4 gallon shop vacuum to my table saw to reduce the dust, and am also using a mask. this set up and filter literally took care of 90% of the particles and made clean up even easier. I want to also note that i installed a disposable bag in the vacuum to reduce the amount of sawdust hitting the filter. I plan on adapting this to my Cyclone attachment to separate the larger particle wood next. Overall this worked well, I believe in order ot prolong the life of the filter using a vacuum bag is essential, or this will clog quickly

A Quality Filter
A few months back, I decided to save a few bucks by ordering a two-pack of a generic brand replacement air filter for my 4-gallon Rigid shop vacuum. One of the things I noticed almost immediately with the new filter was the amount of dust that was coming out of the exhaust outlet. I checked the installation and everything was fine. Not liking what was happening I ordered a Rigid HEPA Wet/Dry Vac Replacement Cartridge Filter and I immediately noticed the a difference in the quality of the exhaust air. In an attempt to show the difference in the quality of the two filters, I took two pictures with an LED light shining into each filter. The white filter is the Rigid replacement filter. While both filters are made in China, there is a definite difference between the two filters.

The best one!
RIDGID HEPA Wet/Dry Vacuum Replacement filter
One of the best filter that I use it so far. This filter was used in my shop vacuum to filter concrete dust which was sanded from a concrete floor in a bathroom. Prior to its use, I had attempted to grind the floor using the regular filter, which was most ineffective, spewing dust out of the back of the unit. This filter, used in conjunction with a bag to capture most of the dust, eliminated almost all of the excess exhaust dust. I would highly recommend this product and will continue using it exclusively in my shop vac.

I received it last week ago. I liked that filter with hepa. Also, I liked a filter that will work with wet or dry and it could be reused. It The filter was very good. I really liked that the hepa pleated filter material was able to capture almost all of the dust particles. I could use it inside my house to vacuum those dust on those hardwood floors.
The top cover and bottom cover of the filter were flexible and thick. Easy to pull it out and easy to push it in.
So far I was satisfied.

Good fine filter
I got this as a spare, I already use these in my two Rigid shop vacuums. They are shaped exactly the same as the filter the vacuum came with but have finer filtration elements to trap more fine dust. I use them when sanding with a powered sander, when cutting with my track saw, and when making mortises with my Domino. Also for cleanup. It really helps to keep the fine dust level down in the shop. Another good thing about these is they are easy to clean. I just tap them against something outside. A tree, a pile of bricks, etc.. Most of the dust will just fall off. If I decide to do a better job, I use my dust collector on them to remove some of the remaining dust. The DC just blows fine dust outside so it doesn't clog it. These filters are especially beneficial when you are creating fine dust like sanding wood or drywall.

Great filtration
We have some issues with dust and I wanted to try using the HEPA filter. I like having a filter that will work with wet or dry and can be reused. The filter is excellent. The top and bottom of the filter are flexible and thick. I spread out some fairly fine dust and vacuumed it up. The filter pulled up all the dust and none of that got through the filter. I am very pleased with the filter.

The Ridgid HEPA Wet/Dry Vac Replacement Cartridge Filter fits perfectly my 4.5 Gallon RIDGID Shop Vacuum.
The VF3800 captures all dry particles 0.3 micron or larger which makes it perfect for cleaning without worrying about second hand dust flying from the vacuum. The media filters with ease pollen, spores, mold, dust and dust mites, dander and bacteria, finer flour sized dust from vacuuming and similar.
Ridgid vacs are a little overengineered and they have tremendous amount of suction in order to handle variety of issues - cooling, gathering lightweight as well as heavy particulates, therefore the need for a HEPA filter when vacuuming a living area, a car, garage or shop, is very justified.
Combining this filter with a dust bag such as VF3501 is perfect for preventing even the finer particles not making their way into your lungs.
This filter is washable, which for me is a must, but it may take a while to dry out completely. The filter can also be used with high humidity, water droplets and or water, but it will get clogged very easy.
Construction of the filter is made from a metal mesh, keeping the pleads of the media evenly spaced. The top and bottom ends were molded into the rigid foam type rubber which seals perfectly around the suction opening of the vacuum.
It's a great filter, with unbeatable quality and price.

Ridgid VF3800 HEPA Filter is GREAT!
The Ridgid VF3800 is a great HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter designed to be used with Ridgid 3-4 1/2 gallon dry/wet shop vacuums. The thing I like most about this filter is that it can be used for both dry and wet pickup applications. The filter is 6 3/4" in diameter with pleated filter material along with an inner mesh support column. The HEPA pleated filter material is able to capture almost all of the dust particles which I am really happy about. Another nice feature is that it can be installed or removed from the vacuum for cleaning without the aid of hand tools. This filter is very durable so it can be washed and cleaned many times to maintain peak performance. I always use the Ridgid dust bag along with this HEPA filter, especially when I am picking up drywall dust or sawdust to make sure it is all captured in the vacuum, and it works great time and time again! This HEPA filter comes with easy to follow installation and removal instructions that anyone can do to improve the quality of air while vacuuming in your shop!
