Product Details

Tackle any mess and extend the life of your RIDGID 5 Gal. and larger wet dry vacuum with the included standard pleated paper filter and wet application foam filter. The RIDGID 1-layer pleated paper filter is designed to capture everyday dirt and debris such as sawdust, dirt and typical debris found in a basement, garage or vehicle. The RIDGID Wet Application Filter should be used when picking up high volume liquids with waterborne debris. Both replacement filters can be washed and, if dried properly, reused. Changing shop vac filters often is strongly recommended to increase the vac's performance and to help extend vacuum life as it protects the motor from harmful dust and debris. This filter offering provides a solution for both wet and dry pickups and fit RIDGID wet/dry shop vacs 5 Gal. and larger. RIDGID provides other filtration offerings, including VF5000 Fine Dust Filter (sold separately) and VF6000 HEPA Media Filter (sold separately), depending on the job application and type of cleanup mess. With its patented Qwik Lock feature, the filter simply snaps on or off the shop vacuum for easy cleaning and to quickly switch filter options.

A:  Hello BigO, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. The VF4000 filter is designed to be use for RIDGID brand vacuums only. We do not recommend that the filter be used with other brand vacuum because we can't guarantee that the filter will fit. However, the height of the filter is 8.45" and outside diameter of 6.34" and inside diameter of 4.34". You may compare the measurement with the filter of your vacuum. And if incase the filter didn't fit, you have 90 days to return the product. You need to return the product with the receipt and box.     A:  Hello Nayy, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. When picking up small amounts of liquid (2 - 4 inches (5 - 10 cm) of liquid in the bottom of the drum), the filter may be left in place. When picking up larger amounts of liquid (more than 4 inches (10 cm) of liquid in the bottom of the drum) we recommend that the filter be removed or use the wet foam filter (VF3700/VF7000). If the filter is not removed, it will become saturated and misting may appear in the exhaust. When this happens, take the filter out and let it dry before reinstalling. Note that when picking up large volumes of liquids, the liquid in the drum may reach a predetermined level and the float mechanism will rise automatically to cut-off airflow. This occurs to avoid liquids from entering the power head. When this happens, turn off the vac, unplug the power cord, and empty the drum. Before storage, the filter must be dried to avoid possible mildew and damage to the filter. We recommend that you clean the filter and then let the filter air dry overnight. Make sure that after each cleaning, you check the filter for holes or tears. You will need to replace your filter if it has any damage. Please remember to never leave your wet /dry vac running unattended and to always use your wet/dry vac in accordance with the owner’s manual.       Overpriced piece of foam
      This thing is literally just a glorified hollow piece of foam that is glued to the plastic Ridgid adapter. It is literally way too expensive for what it is.

        This RIDGID wet/dry vac filter is very easy to exchange so it’s a breez to remove and clean between usage. This is the 3rd filter that I’ve replaced in 3 years.         Simple fix for troublesome lawnmower
        Item is an air filter for Techumseh engine on a Toro lawnmower. 1. it was the right one 2. You had it in stock 3. The store was close by 4. It was a whole lot better than the one I took off (pictures below) Mower run perfectly after installing; life is great!

          ridgid air filter replacement
          My air filter on my shop Vac got clogged so I went to Home Depot where the service was great and they help me find a replacement air filter when I got home it was easy to install and it works great I would recommend Home Depot to everyone Thanks Larry Moreno

          Product fit the shop vac and is designed to last
          This was a replacement filter. Easy to install and provides great dust and debris filtering for my RIdgid shop vac. This filter is designed to last for years of use and is easy to clean. My first filter of this type lasted over 12 years for medium/heavy workshop and outdoor use.
