EASY TO INSTALL
Detach the lid and place the motor upside down in the drum. Locate the filter cage.
FILTER SIZE
This filter will fit your vacuum if your filter cage height is 8-9 inches.
HOW TO INSTALL
Place filter on top. Press down near the center of the filter with both thumbs until the rubber opening of the filter locks in securely.
HOW TO REMOVE
Press one thumb on the plastic tip and simultaneously pull up on the filter from the side tabs.

Is this item required in order to fully function the use of water or other liquid in a wet/dry vacuum?
Asked by Caitlin April 30, 2020Before I realized they made this, I used the paper one every spring to pump out the water from my pond. Trouble is, it was so dense, it pumped slowly and you had to throw away after. They get too out of shape when dry and they are not cheap either. This is porous and the water goes thru much faster, even when the leaves sucked up collect around it.
can it be used for dry cleanup as well?

The manual for my WD12701 says to remove the filter when picking up large amounts of liquid.
Asked by Aryadne September 13, 2019I empty out my pond every spring of the old water and dead leaves with my shop vac. The pond is 125 gallons. Only nuisance the tank fills up fast and have to keep dumping it. I would never do without the foam filter.

will this fit a craftsman 16 gal shop vac

We have a 5 gallon Rigid wet/dry vac and it says this is the filter to use, however, when installed the vac doesnt close all the way?
