EASY TO INSTALL
Detach the lid and place the motor upside down in the drum. Locate the filter cage.
FILTER SIZE
This filter will fit your vacuum if your filter cage height is 8-9 inches.
HOW TO INSTALL
Place filter on top. Press down near the center of the filter with both thumbs until the rubber opening of the filter locks in securely.
HOW TO REMOVE
Press one thumb on the plastic tip and simultaneously pull up on the filter from the side tabs.

The RIDGID Wet Application Filter is designed for your RIDGID wet/dry vacuum (5 Gal.s and larger) to use when picking up high volume liquids with debris. The replacement filter can be washed and, if dried properly, reused. Changing shop vac filters often is strongly recommended to increase the vac's performance and to help extend vacuum life as it protects the motor from harmful debris. This product offers one foam filter with a structured core that fits all RIDGID wet/dry shop vacs 5 Gal. and larger and should only be used for wet pickups. RIDGID provides other filtration offerings, including VF4000 General Dirt Filter (sold separately), VF5000 Fine Dust Filter (sold separately), and VF6000 HEPA Media Filter (sold separately), depending on the job application and type of cleanup mess. Also, a range of value pack sizes (4-count, 8-count and 16-count) are available to accommodate a variety of project needs. With its patented Qwik Lock feature, the filter simply snaps on or off the shop vacuum for easy cleaning and to quickly switch filter options.

Overpriced piece of foam
This thing is literally just a glorified hollow piece of foam that is glued to the plastic Ridgid adapter. It is literally way too expensive for what it is.

The stud should be protruding pass the small hole in the middle of the filter plate to make sure it stays in place and doesn't fall off.
