I use the sprayer from all sorts of freestanding water tanks: 250-gallon square IBC, 120-gallon round water, 50-gallon water barrel. (I'm too cheap to sign up for $150 a month city water when rain falls free.) As long as the water tank stands a couple of pallets or hollow blocks higher than the Ryobi sprayer, spraying works if the water hose between the water tank's spigot and the Ryobi's input is short. (My hose is just 6ft. At 50ft hose length, even the best, contractor-grade hose won't work for this, I already found out.) Another interesting thing I just discovered yesterday out of necessity (spraying my house roof), once the water is moving and spraying is on at ground level, the siphon effect will remain and water will keep flowing, and spraying will continue after I climb a ladder, lifting the Ryobi sprayer and its nozzle gun ABOVE the tank it gets the water from. So we are spraying the roof panels of a one-level house that we stand on - from a water tank down there just a foot above ground by this means. Gotta love the siphon effect...
Hi, Bonitaguy- For 25ft length, you'll need a 14 Gauge extension cord. For 50ft, you'll need a 12 gauge. 100 Ft. is not recommended. We hope this helps!
You cannot use BLEACH with this machine or the 1,900 psi machine. This information is in you manual, section 10.
I found the Ryobi 1600 Electric Pressure Washer to be much quieter than the gas powered models. My neighbors agree.
it's pretty simple and quick
Pump Protector. Oils insides for storage.
The unit comes with an attachment hose to add liquid soap to the water stream.
Hi, Leo- This pressure washer is on the lower end of the PSI spectrum, so it's good for washing cars if your paint is in good condition. We do recommend taking the following steps to protect the paint: 1: Use the widest spray nozzle you can. (This unit comes with a 15 degree nozzle as the widest. The Home Depot also offers wider options.) The wider the fan, the less abrasive the water will be. 2: Test on a less visible spot on the car to make sure. 3: Start farther away from the car and adjust your distance as necessary. We hope this helps!
Yes, I've used it for exactly that purpose. You may not have to use full power or back the wand away from the deck not because Trex can't handle it but because you may not not pull power to clean it. Remember this is an electric pump with maximum power of 1600 psi so I might be worried if you were using a 2000 psi gas pump but this model will be fine.
Hi Woody Sure, it should be just fine. However, use a low pressure or general spray tip nozzle (with caution). We hope this helps. Best Regards Thank you for contacting RYOBI, we apologize for the delay in response.
