13 Amp Corded 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw

I am comparing this to my 40 year old Sears 6.5 inch saw. So it's ok lighter a bit more power but did not come with a guide for ripping long cuts. It does not cut straight when tilting the blade. Could be the included steel blade is too flexible will put on a stiffer ticarbide and see if that is better or a smaller dia blade. More later.

Great saw. Easy to use. I used it to build a greenhouse.

My first Ryobi tool. I bought it like 5 years ago, I have being trough a lot "around the house" projects and it still working like the first day!

This is an okay product. It may be better for some or worse for others. The depth lock lever had some sort of washer under it. The washer broke off some how so now the lever is loose. I used this to cut stair tread/risers and the saw at certain points was difficult to push through. I had to pull back and rerun the line and it would eventually ease up. I won't fully say no to this product because it will get the job done. So if you have a simple project around the house I say go for it!

Drifts right and left. I couldn't make it cut a straight line even though I was using a fence. An expert told me it probably was a cheap blade that got hot or a defect in the bearings. My suspicion is that the blade that came with it is a cheap flimsy version that gets hot and flexible and gets distorted by the plywood. I took the saw back to Home Depot and bought a Ridgid. I used it to cut off the edge of the board that the Ryobi had messed up. In the picture below, the lower cut was with the Ryobi and the upper cut was with the Ridgid.

Great for cutting scrap wood for the fire. Forget about any kind of precision cutting. The miter is way off and the frame is very flimsy. Better to just spend a little more for quality. Piece of Junk.

I am a huge Ryobi fan, my shop is full of Ryobi tools, but after today this will not be one of them. I bought this saw to break down plywood, mostly 3/4 inch, Set up the saw according to the manual, but not my first circular saw, so I had some ideal what needed to be done. I sawed my first piece, the picture included, cut like butter and I was trilled to have another great Ryobi tool in my collection. Second cut had to be at a 5 degree and while the saw seemed to have to work much harder to do that, it did the job. Third cut, back to 90 degree cut, using a straight edge to insure a straight cut, my wife who is also a pretty good craftsman watching over my shoulder. The saw bogged down about half way through, both sides of the piece were well supported and when I got through it, found that my piece was not only burnt but no where even close to a straight line. I checked to make sure everything on the saw was tight, that my straight edge had not moved, the saw blade itself was firmly set. Set up for another cut, still 3/4 inch plywood still using a straight edge like I've done many times before with other saws and it did the very same thing again. Maybe it is just a very cheap blade, or maybe the saw is just not stable, but which every it destroyed a good piece of plywood and caused me at least a day of shop time, so I can go find a saw I can depend on. I hope I just ended up with a lemon, but I can't afford to take that chance again, going back to the store in the morning.

I’m a new homeowner and needed a saw for some small projects I have around the house. Did a little research and found that the saw came highly recommended from my neighbors. I was told to buy a replacement blade right away I agree with the statement as I did not do that. The blade that came with the saw only lasted for about a week. After replacing the blade it works significantly better. I would recommend this for any beginner as it is not a high end saw

Only used it on one small project but it went through it like a knife in hot butter!
