RYOBI introduces the 15 Amp 10 in. Sliding Compound Miter Saw. This saw features a 15 Amp, 4,600 RPM motor and has a 12 in. cross cut capacity. The LED Cutline Indicator and work-light illuminates material to help improve accuracy of the cut and visibility. The extended miter range from 47 degree left and right provides versatility for all DIY and professional projects by accommodating a wide variety of cuts. Blade guard loosens until failure
The blade guard gets loose as you use the saw. It is nearly impossible to tighten, because it is very difficult to access alongside the blade of the saw, inside the guard itself. If it is too tight it locks the guard in place, if it is too loose it wobbles and the coil spring comes loose on the outside of the blade guard. If you don’t continue to tighten the blade guard, it wobbles and catches on the blade, which in my case ripped the entire guard off the saw. Thankfully I wasn’t hurt.

Been using for years, still works great
I have been using this saw for at least 8 years and it's performed admirably. When you pair the right blade it cuts very well, the angles stops hold well. My only real complaint is the laser is not even remotely close to where the blade cuts, maybe 1/2" off, so it is kind of worthless. I just bring the blade down to my cut line to ensure I am cutting where I want to.

I am not satisfied with the results of my issues.
The saw blade does not meet in the middle of the blade throat plate. I contacted Ryobi, and they replaced the whole saw since I do not live within 50 miles of a repair center. The new saw seems fine, although it is a refurbished saw with a one-year warranty. The new one I got was new out of the box and had a three-year warranty. So now I need to certify I indeed have a three-year warranty. Oh, the first one out of the box I bought. Strip what parts off it and dispose of the rest of the saw. Go figure.

Spend extra for a saw with a straight fence…
I’ve had this saw for about 2 years now and it’s useless for smaller cuts. I do a lot of projects around the house and build a lot of craft items for my wife and if you need to make a cut where you’re cutting 3” or less, this saw will NOT make a straight cut. The variance on a standard 1x6 is about 1/8” from one end to the other. Doesn’t sound like much, but for precise cuts it’s beyond frustrating.The fence isn’t straight all the way across. It bevels back as it gets closer to the cutting area.

Smooth cut, great value
Really pleased with the cut on this saw and ability to bevel. Made my crown molding job easier for sure. The led cut line is not great, but not a big factor in my purchasing anyway. It provided the clean cuts I was looking to obtain. Great value.

Bad clamp design
The clamp is unusable in the right position, such as to use it with a stop block. This is because the motor housing hits the clamp itself, preventing the blade from lowering fully. The shape of the fence also prevents it from rotating out of the way.
