How much lawn Will lt cut

Asked by: Rptide66
It takes about 20 minutes and I have approximately 1500 sq ft to cut (I use the mulching system) and have had no problems with battery life. I use two (2) of the P122 / 4.0 amp batteries and have gone through some pretty high damp grass. I do notice that due to the high rate of discharge, the batteries become very warm to the touch when the job is done, but they charge right up without any issues.

With two 9's I have never run out of juice. Small cut but easy for wife to handle. We just cut a portion of the yard at a time and this is perfect. Fills bag nicely. Just don't run over small branches to conserve blade life.

My old lawnmower was too heavy and would have ruined my seeded grass that I just planted. I saw the Ryobi online and the reviews that I had we’re all pretty good so I figured I’d give it a shot. If you put 2 18v 4 amp hour batteries it lasts for a while. I mowed my whole 1300 square-foot lawn in 20 minutes or less and it was also very easy to use and maneuver. Light weight but seems rugged. I have only had the lawnmower for two weeks and have used it three times already and I love it! If you put the mulch plug instead of the bag it acts like a vacuum sucks everything off the ground mulched it and put it back.

IT is melting my batteries. actually has been doing so for a while. The first one I blamed on that battery. The second one I blamed it on my other green charger so only used the little black one that came with the mower. But today it stepped it up a notch. The mower cut off after just 4 rows of mowing. I pulled the battery out to check it and it was gooey. That makes me want to give it 1 star Other than that it performs quite well. I fell in love with the thing. My lawn looks better than ever and all the neighbor's. And I rant and rave how wonderful it is and want to give it 5 stars. But $50 a battery is too expensive. so 2 stars is as fair. Keep your receipt, Print it out, Use ONLY the batteries you purchased with it as these, I was told, will be covered by the warranty. I'll shortly see. I was told to take it to my local Home Depot as this one has a Rental Center.

I own many Ryobi products and I had high hope for this electric lawn mower. First one I bought, it wouldn't start, so I brought it back to get another one. This time it started and I was so happy. Brought it to my lawn (about 800 sq.ft, grass was about 2.5 in high) and start mowing. Here are my honest observations. 1. big mistake for not getting sell propelled, it is very difficult to move around. 2. definitely not powerful enough to cut my 2.5 inch grass. Constantly stalling event though it didn't stop. 3. grass didn't go into the bag. I have to constantly stop mowing and use my hand to pull grass into the bag. Tons of cut grass was left on the lawn. 4. battery was fully charged (at least this was what the indicator indicated). About 20 mins and half way "done", out of battery. So I guess I just need to go back to traditional gas lawn mower.

I have a fairly small yard with a steep incline in the back yard and this lawnmower is perfect. I can carry it up the hill with the handle on the top of the body of lawnmower. Super light weight and easy to push. No gas and No oil is GREAT! I just have to keep my batteries charged and never have to worry about running out of gas. I have several Ryobi 18V batteries so I just swap out the batteries for fully charged ones if I need to. Last month, I purchased another mower for my daughter's house. She also has a smaller yard and I wanted to make sure she had a mower that was safe and easy to use. Another great feature is that the mower shuts off when you let go of the handle clamp. Starts easily with a push of the button and you can hang it to store without worrying about spilling gas or oil. I love this mower!!! MY ONLY COMPLAINT: I mentioned this (as well as many other customers) years ago when I purchased my first mower but the plastic key you plug in by the batteries NEEDS to have a way to secure it to the mower! Even a little metal hook in the battery compartment would allow for a string to attach from the hook to the key so it doesn't get lost. If you lose that key then you can't operate the mower. Why is Ryobi not listening to the many customers who have stated this complaint over the years? It's a simple fix!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ordered with low expectations, but pleasantly surprised I ordered this mower, since a gas mower would take 2 weeks to arrive, and this could get here in two days. I needed it now, as my old Toro needed replacement. It was assembled(minor handle clamping), and ready to mow 15 minutes after delivery. I have about a half acre to mow. And, with the 5HP Toro, it used to take about an hour. With this mower, it takes about an hour and a half. My yard is more weeds than grass, but the Ryobi didn't bog down in tall weeds anymore than the Toro would. True, the Ryobi cuts a smaller swath, but in the same conditions, I would cut a smaller swath to keep it running. The Ryobi powered through weeds, leaves, and sticks. Being smaller, and mostly plastic, it is easily maneuverable, even without powered wheels. The grass catcher fills completely, rear to front. The suction on this Ryobi is much better than on the old Toro, drawing in old decaying leaves from under the weeds as well. Have not tried the mulching option yet, but expect no problems, as the clippings in the catcher were well reduced. Two 4Amh batteries lasted about 40-45 minutes. My yard required 3 sets, to complete with heavier growth, but may be less with normal load. This was not a problem for me, as I already had 4 4Amh batteries and a multi-charger. Overall, I am VERY pleased with this Ryobi.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from only used for one time so far, no complain. it... only used for one time so far, no complain. it does the job, easy to operate or handle. light weigh. i have a extra size front yard, but the batteries show 3 green bars after the job. only consumed 1 bar. very impressive for the low battery consumtion.
