Can this mower be used without the rear bag? I want to leave the grass clippings on the lawn.

No, because the mower is so junky, it is not usable at all.

Am I able to use the One+ 18-Volt Lithium 6.0 Ah Batteries with this mower?

Perhaps-in the rear battery "insert"...... But in the RYOBI Model # P1100A 16 in. ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower (Tool Only)...$ 199 00 (now) --has enlarged the battery compartment to hold the 9.0 and/or the 6.0 Ah batteries-it looks like...That model is NOT hybrid (corded)...You question was 2018...but FYI for others...It seems the NON-hybrid mower "hood" has been redesigned to close with the larger batteries...see the pictures.

What is the difference between the P1121 and P1111

P1121 is a hybrid (allows you to run on batteries or electrical extension cord), P1111 runs only on batteries. I have purchased both the hybrid mower (P1121) and the hybrid trimmer (p2200A ) - or buy the set (plus a blower - sweet deal: p1102A-24h)

Is this mower self-propelled? Does it have a drive to assist with moving it over the yard.?

No, and if you have back problems, it will only make them worse.

What is the average run time for a normal cut (not overgrown) maintained weekly yard?

Asked by plagee February 11, 2018

Answers

Been using it on mixed St. Augustine+weeds, once a week, 3/4 acre...and get ~30-40 mins. NOTE: Someone wrote to make sure you run mower without stopping to get longest run-time. I agree. Every time you restart it takes more power from the battery (not unlike a portable generator...there is the "start" power and "run" power) I do not use the bag but let the grass fertilize the yard, which allows me to do the yard non-stop. This is a great mower! It is so lightweight...you can easily move & lift & turn as needed. (and my back is finicky). I wish Home Depot carried the blades in the store and displayed it with the mower like they do with other products.

Can this mower be folded up and hung on a garage wall for storing?

Hi, Tony- Thanks for the question. You can store this mower on the wall if you like, though there is not a specific hook or method designed for this storage option. We hope this helps!

It does! Easy handle to empty while you work. I just leave the trash can near one side of the yard and empty every few times across.

Does the battery have to be the p108 or can I place a p107 in it . I know the p107 islike 1.5 and the p108 is 4.0

I have been using all of my batteries (p107's, p108's,p102's and 5's) mixed and matched. have only found (as expected) shorter time and sometimes less power. Can't wait to get the 164's (6.0 Ah), but looking for a sale (spouse is eyeing me cautiously ;) )

This mower is very light and easy to push. I previously had a self propelled gas mower, and to be honest, this is actually easier to move and control.

works awesome, 4AH batteries not enough
The mower worked flawlessly but the two batteries died with just two passes left to go. I have a average size yard on a .25 acre lot in a subdivision. Not big at all. I have two other 4AH batteries from other Ryobi tools like my weed whacker/edger, blower, chain saw and hedge trimmer combo. So I was able to use them to finish the lawn. Wish the cover would accomodate a 5 or 6 AH battery. That would make it 5 stars.

Great little mower for small to medium yards. We live in the city and purchased a small 16" electric/corded mower for our small front and back yard. It worked well but dragging the cord around got tiring and I got to the point where I dreaded mowing the lawn - I spent as much time moving and avoiding the cord, and untangling/wrapping up the cord as I did mowing. Because it's compact and lightweight (40lbs) it's easy to maneuver and carry from front yard to back yard and down two flights of stairs. A full sized 20" Ryobi (60lbs) while nice, is too heavy to carry and push up hills. Batteries: I timed how long the mower and batteries would last by walking with the mower back and forth until it quit - I got 22 minutes of run time (included 4 separate start ups), plenty for my four separate plots of grass. Height Setting: The lowest setting is too low for the grass, probably around 1.5in, the lowest I can go is setting 2. So this mower can provide very short grass if desired. The Cons I experienced: The handles you pull in and hold to keep the mower on/running are very sensitive. If you loosen your grip just a millimeter or two the mower shuts off. I find myself having to restart the mower a few times during my mowing. I now wrap a long strip of velcro around the grip to keep it tight against the handle when I mow. The batteries get hot enough after mowing that they will not charge right away, they must cool down first before they will charge - I'll get the flashing orange light and the "Temperature delay" warning if I attempt to charge within 15 mins after mowing.

shipped to home on the 26th of April. Mowed the lawn that evening. As I hadn't yet charged that batteries that came with the mower, I used 2 3-yo batteries that I had on my drill and saber-saw. Light, wonderful, quiet, and amazing! whole yard accept the last 2 swaths on those batteries - and finished by plugging the cord in. Surprised? Yes. I have a lot of battery tools and appliances - and a Leaf. I know limitations, and plan accordingly. But, here's the thing, I hadn't mowed the lawn since last September (See pictures). Some things could be improved: 1. Handles can get in the way of getting the mower up against the fence, 2. Have the handle fold to trolley on 2 wheels to put away (I was able to pick up and carry, but would have been nice to trolley). 3. Safety handles are touchy - would shut down when I was not squeezing very tightly, 4. Shape electrical cord connection for fit of 3-prong extension, 5. I have built a hanger lip in basement wall - would be nice to have one that comes with and is secure with catch. My friend (a gal with a decade on my age) loved mine so much that she went out and bought as well! Have now had 3 weeks of mowing, and am still very happy!

This has got to be the best lawnmower ever!!! Two batteries to give you great power and enough time to cut most any yards. My mom has 1/3 of an acre and I can cut it in about an hour. If it's really high, and I have to move slower, and should the batteries run out of charge, I can either take a break and recharge the batteries, or plug it in with an extension cord. It's great. Not only that, but with two batteries, when I am finished with the grass, I use a battery and install it into my 22" hedge trimmer and can finish 150 feet of three feet high hedges with one 4 Amp lithium battery, and plug the other battery into the weed whacker and finish up. The lawnmower has an easy to use wheel height adjustment with one simple lever. Also, it has a fantastic collection bag also. This lawnmower is awesome. No more gas, oil, spark plugs, cleaning the air cleaner, changing the oil, maintenance, and wintertime draining the gas and using up the fuel so it doesn't get bad throughout the winter. The only maintenance you will ever need to do, is sharpen the cutting blade when it gets dull. And the only thing that you will need to cut the grass, is a charged battery. Do you know what else is awesome! If you have a cabin, a house in the country without power, or an out Apiary like me, you can set up a portable solar charging station, and never need to run for gas or oil. Also, another thing that I like, is that it is lightweight and folds up and is portable that I can take it from out apiary yard to out apiary yard, and I can put it in the trunk of my car. I LOVE IT!!!!!! It's Awesome!!!!!!!!

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
I enjoyed using this 16" One + 18 volt Lithium-Ion Hybrid battery powered push mower. I t is quite, light weight and does a great job, even with wet grass. The housing and under deck mower area is plastic. I was amazed at how easy it was to clean even the wet grass from the underside blade area. I always clean my mowers after each use, this really makes it easier. When cutting there was no bog down when mowing higher grass, very impressive little machine. Love the single handle height adjustment too. Batteries take about 2 hours to charge, each. Charger shuts off when charging is complete, no need worrying about over charging the batteries. I was able to mow more grass than I wanted to, had me puffing when it finally shut off. And for those of you who don't quite get done , you can hook a cord up to it and finish your yard. After clean up, just unlatch the handles and fold for easier storage.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
I was very impressed with the overall performance of this mower. It came with 2 x P108 rechargeable batteries and one P118 charger. I have a relatively small back yard. About 1000 sq ft of lawn that needs to be cut. This mower with both batteries inserted (Full Charge) cut my whole lawn without the use of a power cord. My front yard is tiny in comparison. This mower has a 5 position cutting height adjustment and the mower can be set to mulch if desired. (I used the grass catcher which is very simple and super easy to use) The mower is light weight and compact with a built-in carry handle. The handle folds down on top of the mower and you can use a power cord when the batteries run dry.

TL;DR: Great Mower decent power, decent battery life. good for small to medium yards. For those of you worried about battery life I can do my front and back yard on one set of fully charged batteries. Pro tip you can measure your yard using Google earth to figure out how much square footage you have. My front yard and backyard grass area combined is about 1600 sq. ft. I think this would be good to about 2500 sq. ft. on one charge. The batteries seem to take ~1 hour to charge so if you have two chargers it's no big deal if you needed to recharge to finish (plus you can always grab the extension cord if you are really in a pinch). The unit takes about 2 second to start while holding the triggers on battery but starts in about .5 second when on a cord; this caused some confusion early on where I thought the batteries weren't working. The quick adjustments for trim height are really nice, as are the folding locks for the push bar when storing. Seems to cut really well although I did have some trouble with very (VERY) long grass that choked the motor. This happened quite a bit early on as I tamed the forest back into a lawn during high summer, however once I got the grass down to o a reasonable mow height it wasn't an issue. For the record, I had borrowed a neighbors gas mower and had the same problem with choking out the motor in the extreme grass.
