18-Volt ONE+ 15K BTU Hybrid Forced Air Propane Heater (Tool Only) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 111.

This is not going to heat up large two car garages, 30 people on a work-site, or replace the furnace in your shop. what it will do is keep you and a friend warm if you are standing directly in front of it, it take the chill out of the immediate area withing the workshop. It's only 9 lbs, and can be ran on a cord or battery. That alone makes it extremely portable, and would be great for a night hanging out on the deck, camping, fishing, or even tailgating at a football game. The unit is really easy to turn on and off. You only need to press the igniter button, then the ignite button once you hear it clicking. The clicking does stop about a minute, but thats just a safety feature. As for the fuel, it only runs on a 1 lb propane bottle that you would use on a small camping grill. Just screw it into the back of the unit, pop in the battery or cord, and your off. Another great thing about this is it is extremely quiet when operating, and no bad smells either. Just make sure to use this in an area that is well ventilated. All in all, its a great little unit that works best as a direct heating source. If you not willing to sit/stand close to this heater, then you may want to go with something a bit bigger, but for portability and ease of use, this is just awesome!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works but know where to use it Heat? yes it puts out heat but the blower only blows it about 12 inches then it goes up. Don't expect to use it outside or in a big shop but in a small area like a small garage or shed, maybe a deer blind or something. I bought 2, exchanged them both thinking they were defective. Same issue...heat but no real air movement. I own a ton of Ryobi tools so I just found a work around. I put a Ryobi fan behind the blower and stationed it at the spot i would be working in the shop. also works well in 10x10 shop restroom. I recommend the product but do also recommend knowing it isnt going to heat a lot of area due to the "computer fan" inside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from small and not very mighty I own a fair anount of ryobi tools and ive never had a problem with any of them. I bought this to use in my shop in the winter to keep it warm and ended up returning it the next day. The fan on this is very weak so the heat just kind of flows out and straight up from the unit. It didnt keep me or my garage warm at all, and for the record i have a small one car garage. I went through 1 1/2 of the small tanks of propane to give it some time to heat up the space and still nothing. I returned this and upgraded to another brand that had a 60k BTU unit and hears the space up within minutes. I wont say this is a terrible product, you just have to know its limitations, and id say this product should be limited to outdoor use for tailgating or standing around on a deck while drinking beers, not to hear up a 300-500sq ft area.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DELUSIONAL. That's the word I have for other reviews which rate this little guy highly. Portable ... DELUSIONAL. That's the word I have for other reviews which rate this little guy highly. Portable and good looking? Yes. But as other reviews have stated, it's whisper quiet because the fan on this sucks, when it really should blow. Heat is blown out about a foot, then dissipates upwards into the cold night air. For this exact reason, I can't rate it anything more than a 1 star at ANY price. I wanted to love this, I wanted this to work, and I own a ton of Ryobi products, but all of that can't fix bad engineering. So, am I being a bit harsh? You spend money on this and let me know how long it lasts before YOU return it. No need to take my word for it.

It's compact and looks cool, but that's the end of the positives. It's a nice concept poorly executed. This thing puts out very little heat despite the nice looking flame. Originally bought it to try to keep my toes warm when I'm relegated to smoking outside on the porch and maybe even for camping in cold weather. Epic fail. The only way to feel any heat is to get right up to it to where you're afraid you'll catch your clothes on fire. I even tried to use it to heat up the bathroom for when I'm taking a shower and that did next to nothing. Owned for one day and returned it.

Watta' Deal - Half-off made the heat sooo much better, and delivered to my front door for free was such an added bonus! This baby worked right on the get-go. Popped a 1-Lb LP bottle on, connected a Ryobi 18V+ Battery Pack into the bottom and the unit fired up as advertised! Put out gentle heat for near three hours and was quiet to boot. Glad for the purchase and ready for whatever may come in the "I need heat' department.
