This is a great little tool, but remember that this is a battery-powered router. You may get the maximum depth on soft pine but hard woods can force the motor to labor, and affect the quality of your edges. If you typically work with hard woods, you will need to do some practice runs on scraps of wood. You will also want to be more conscious of the quality of your bits with a battery-powered router.

I've routed a number of rabbets on drawer fronts with this tool. It's a LOT easier than manhandling a corded router.
