Great question Joker, The RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless AirStrike 18-Gauge Brad Nailer (Tool Only) with Sample Nails Brad Nail Length can accept a brad nail faster range between 5/8 - 2 in. Please make sure that the brad nail is what is needed for that application. This brad nailer is designed or interior and exterior trim work. Answer

Hi Perplexed, Thanks for your inquiry on the RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless 5 in. Random Orbit Sander (Tool-Only) P411. The random orbital sander does not to spin fast when sanding. It rotates in slow looping circles as it vibrates. That action makes the sander capable of doing the job with little pressure applied to the sander. Just make sure you are holding the sander enough to control slip or the sander running away. If you feel that the sander requires a lot of pressure while sanding, that may be an indication that the paper is worn and may need to be replaced or a different grit may be required. Thanks for your question! - Eve

just exchange for another one get home the same thing red keep blinking no charge the batterie

Very likely, yes. It is very handy for picture frames and installing molding around the house. It can use brads from 5/8 to 2 inches. I haven't made a floating frame but looking on Pinterest, this should handle the work.

will it take other brad manufacturers nails

There is one way for the nails to go in. They have a flat head and the head should be towards the drill.

I found accessories for my saw, that I could not find at HD, at www.partswarehouse.com. they have some stuff. Also you could try calling Ryobi I did not find what I was looking for at HD, but I would check "In Store" first. Fitment is specific to the tool in most cases.

Would this battery work with Ryobi 18 gauge nail gun?

Yes, they should all work with the same battery.

Great tool
Customer review from ryobitools.com logo
I bought this tool because I decided to get into a new hobby, wood working. My wife said she wanted a floating desk, so she'd get out of her chair and actually do her work. She's a teacher, and only had her chair or the dining room table to grade papers and do her lesson plans. She thought it would help her if she had a place to do her work. I looked up plans and figured a sander would be needed. It's the perfect one for me! I've always used Craftsman tools, and I love them. However, I've been getting a bunch of Ryobi tools as well. There's been no drop off in performance, and this sander was rated higher. It was a no brainier for me. I've used this tool on a desk, shelf and a few other little things around the house and couldn't be happier.

Light weight but plenty powerful for occasional home projects. I use with 4A battery and 40 tooth carbide finishing blade for smooth cuts - an efficient combo. I built work bench with saw.

The only Ryobi tool so far I’ve been disappointed with
I have a ton of Ryobi tools and so far, this is the only one I’ve found to be a big disappointment. I used this to renovate a staircase in my house and needed to cut off 1.5 inch stair nosings. The saw is highly underpowered and would freeze up constantly. It’s fine for cutting down a 2x4 but for ripping down a 2x10 or even a 2x10 crosscut it really can’t handle it even with a better blade. Maybe the brushless version is better, but I’ll be going with another brand for the next circular I buy.

Real nice sander
Customer review from ryobitools.com logo
I find myself buying more and more Ryobi tools. Bought this specifically to use for making and polishing concrete counter tops but like it so much I bought another one to use exclusively for wood. Much better than my older much more expensive sander. Used them both on this last little remodel. One for the floating shelves and one on the concrete counter.

I bought this sander a month ago for smoothing plaster prior to painting. It worked fine for nail hole patches, but for larger areas - the sandpaper slips off the base within 30 seconds - consistently! I tried different densities & brands of sandpaper, but the slippage continues. In addition, the bag that holds the dust is too small ands needs to emptied frequently. I've learned that not all sanders are created equal - even though the price was right - it may be too small or the job. I am going to see if I can trade this one up because I like the Ryobi product and the convenience of the interchangeable battery.

Has quickly become my SECRET weapon!
Sometimes, you just need something... and you don't quite know what that thing is until you hold it in your hand. THIS. This is that something. I can't imagine life before nor after it. No more unsightly screw heads. No more clamps. Glue-ups just became a breeze. Cabinet fabrication has never been easier. $99? Yes, please! Would HAPPILY pay twice that for the amount of value this tool has afforded me. If you're a skilled tradesman/woman, you really shouldn't be looking past this tool. I primarily use Makita, but their brads leave something to be desired. The Ryobi has never, not one single time, misfired or not driven a brad all the way in. Once it's set, you can sort of just forget it and ride! It's a blast to use, and sometimes as a way to release boredom, I'll just go light up a board with a hundred or so nails. I've never even gotten the battery indicator on a 3aH battery to drop a single bar, and I've used this thing for hours! Ryobi is, hands down, the best tool value out there. When you just need a one-off and are already invested in another platform, give Ryobi your money. This brad nailer and the router are two of my favorite tools of all time. Add it to your bag... don't think about it for a second. Your value as a craftsman will exponetially increase with this tool.

So easy to use.
I just got this nailer and love it. I'm a 70 year-old grandma who loves doing DIY projects. It doesn't scare me. It is quiet and I don't notice any kind of kick back. Easy to load the nails, and I can actually hold it against my work and press the trigger with one hand. So many tools are made for men with larger hands. The pressure adjustment sinks the nail just enough to caulk over it. I have many Ryobi tools and am very satisfied with them.

Broke on second use
I used it to nail up some base boards with the brads that came with the tool. It worked great. Way less of a hassle than messing with the air compressor and dragging a hose around behind you. So I scaled up to 2 inch brads for some carpentry work. First try, with no adjustments, it penetrated about an inch of plywood. So I adjusted the nail depth to the max and got the same result. Then I adjusted the pressure dial on the back to the max turn (only traveled a 1/4 turn) and got the same result. Figured I might have done it the wrong way and dialed the pressure all the way in the other direction and it didn't even fire a brad. Then when I went to dial it back up to the max, the dial broke off in my hand.
