Picture the saw in your hands, dominant hand on trigger NON dominant hand on upper grip. Now imagine looking at the blade, if the elbow of your non dominant arm is blocking your view of the blade you need a saw with the blade on the other side, or learn to use the saw the other way. This is a left handed saw. If you try to use it right handed you won't be able to see your cut and it will dump sawdust onto you.
Where have you found a 7 inch blade? They are typically 7 1/4. And NO, a standard blade will not fit on this saw. You'll also want to purchase the correct blade for the direction of the saw so the arrows show (Wormdrive shows on the left of the saw, but I've never seen a wormdrive in 6 1/2 inch) So, you'll be getting this special blade for this saw. You could flip the blade, putting the arrows & writing so you can't see them, as long as the rotation is correct (teeth pointing in the direction the motor turns, or the front.)
No such thing as right or left saw blades. Saw blade orientation depends on motor rotation direction. Very important to follow manufacturers operating / blade install instructions. I think your thinking of right or left hand 'drive' skill saws. Don't know of any battery powered left hand drive skill saws.
No, it’s strictly cordless.
A 2.0 battery will die quicker on a circular saw, they use a lot of juice fast. I’d recommend a 4.0 or higher. Also, switch out the manufacturer’s blade for a higher end blade, don’t cost much and will help with battery life as it’ll cut faster and easier.
Not deep enough, buy the 7 1/2' saw.
Hi Cata, The higher amp batteries will give you longer run time. It will not let you cut past the maximum thickness it is allowed to cut. Thanks for asking. Greg
Thank you Dave for your inquiry. It sounds that you may be having an issue. Please contact RYOBI customer care for assistance at 800-525-2579. ~best regards, Ashley
Jigsaw is best.
There is an edge guide kit available, I bought mine at www.eReplacementParts.com - part number 201985001, it actually cost just a few dollars. It works good, I beveled cut a couple of 1x6x8 at 45 deg. angle to frame around the outside front door, it looks good.
