Yes
Absolutely, and with a boost in performance!
There are masonry drill bits that would do the job...
Yes, if you use carbide bits.
Haven't seen a hand drill yet that you can't take it off. This one uses a bolt and nut that you have to keep track of to put in the handle. It might be easy to lose all or some of the three parts Not like the old blue one that slid on or the newer Milwaukee where the handle grabs the drill by the ears.
yes
Julian , you may be hitting wire mesh or re-bar if it was used . When I have to drill that deep in concrete I use my electric hammer drill . Cordless drill are great and will get the job done but they all have there limits . I wont use my cordless for a hole that size or that deep in concrete . I hope you didn't buy the drill just for this job , I worked in HVAC and Electrical for thirty years and used many different hammer drills . I would suggest renting the heavier drill and save your cordless for what its meant for .Good luck .
Yes its normal. I guess its just the motor they use.
No. It is a short cut mode selector so you can switch quickly between so you don't have to adjust the clutch. There is no reason you can't drill in screw mode, it will just cam-out and slip often until you max it all the way like drill mode.
Lee , sorry , the batteries don't come in HP ,they come in ah which means ampere hour . I bought the drill with case , battery and charger then picked out the two 4.0 ah batteries . These are very strong batteries and last per charge .Do the math and you will see that its a great deal . The kit came with one 4.0 ah battery , so I ended up with three batteries and a new hammer drill .
