Plug it in and go! I used to pay a guy $500 a year to plow my driveway and he quit, so I purchased the Ryobi electric snow blower this year. I hate starting gas engines, they are difficult and unpredictable. This has been an absolute workhorse. We are in the midst of a big winter in Park City UT. Three big dumps in the last few weeks totaling 10 feet! The Ryobi has handled it, able to throw the snow 25 feet or more as advertised. Is able to elevate the throw above the berm on the driveway's edge. Can clear entire driveway of smaller snowfalls of 6-8 inches in 2 minutes! WOW!!! See photo

Wow! I have shoveled, bladed, & blown lots of snow in last 25 yrs when i am not in Florida, Last snowblower was a gas blower that recently stopped working. I am not strong enough to shovel & needed something lightweight & powerful that I can pick up & move as I need to! Very easy for one person to assemble. The push button start is hassle free. I just came in from blowing one foot of snow on long driveway & sidewalk at local library in town. One pass all the way to the concrete every time. It took me one hour start to finish. No clogs & the snow slid off the surfaces of the blower & no snow to clean out of the chute when done. I especially like the 180 degree directional chute. It allows a good dispersion of snow at a low angle so one is not hitting the neighbor's windows. The throw distance of the snow is ample. The fold down handle makes storing this snowblower a breeze. This certainly makes living in cold regions much less work.

(What's this)
Finally, my driveway snow removal routine has gotten easier. I was very tired of cold starting my old snowblower. Now, I’m absolutely tickled at the ease of getting this Ryobi motor spinning. I simply plug my 50 foot 12 gauge extension cord into a 15 amp gfci outlet, push a button and pull a lever. It is so much better than pulling the old cord for ‘who knows’ how many times. Plus, I’m not having to mix and burn fuel. This low noise motor spins the hard plastic auger with some force. I have no doubt that this smooth rolling machine can toss powder up to 20 feet, as stated by the manufacturer. I’ve watched videos of the Ryobi corded 12 amp snowblower, the 40 volt cordless snowblower and the electric snow shovel. All three of those models toss powder well, so I have faith in the 13 amp model. Keep in mind that every snowblower does best with soft snow. It’s best to get on it as soon as possible as to not stress your equipment. There wasn’t a bunch of unnecessary packaging in the box. There was just enough cardboard in there to protect the item from being damaged and the box from getting cruched. As far as assembly goes, this thing was out of the box and put together in about 20 minutes. Assembly consists of putting the chute together and the handles. The bolts were either squared or a u shape so no wrench was required to put the knobs on. The chute lever goes into the back of the base and then the handle connects to it with a supplied clip. The pitch adjuster snaps on. There are no pictures on the instructions so use the picture on the box for reference. The chute pitch is easily adjustable left or right and is close to effortlessly achieved by turning the handle on the lever. When I turn the lever the chute locks at the angle; there are multiple options. I love it. My old snowblower didn’t lock so I would have to hold the lever. As a bonus I gained another couple inches of clearance. From the ground to the top of the center of the deck is about 12 inches but the manufacturer says the clearance is 10 inches. I am excited to put this thing into action and not having to fight a combustion engine.

I am very familiar whit Ryobi equipment, and as always, I am impressed with their products. This 20" electric corded snow blower is no exception. It was packaged very securely, assembly was very easy, simply used all the hardware packaged with it, followed the picture diagram. Couldn't have been easier. The discharge chute is adjustable, has 4-5 up down positions, and can be directed in increments, left to right 180 degrees, by means of the direction handle right below the grip bar.. The handle can be folded down for storage saving space in the off season.

This Ryobi electric snow blower is going to take the worries out of getting our of my driveway during or after a MN snowfall. The assembly was very easy and comes with a safety and assembly booklet. Packaging was great and the easy storage feature is great. The 3 year warranty is assuring that dependability is on my side, as Ryobi products are supreme in my eyes. I was unable to get the chute to rotate, however it could be the assemblers error. Over all it started easily and seems to be very durable. I like the extension cord guide on the blower, so I don't have to worry about it getting in the way. I have no doubts about making it through a MN winter. I would recommend this to anyone.

Snow blower came well packaged and undamaged, assembly took about 15 minutes and the instructions where easy to follow. Haven’t had our first snow fall here in N.E. Ohio yet but plugged it in to test, unit is quit which sure beats the gas power blowers. Can’t wait for the first snow to use it. I have a small drive way/side walk that I think this will work great for. Yes I’ll have to pull a 50’ extension cord around, but I’m fine with that. I though about the battery operated one, but it’s cost prohibited for me right now. I also have to park it on the patio this winter so the Gas option is out of the question. I see the auger is one piece molded plastic and am concerned how will it will hold up am wear. Time will tell.

I haven’t had a good snow yet to test it thoroughly but I will review it based on what I can tell now. It will be another 2 months before we start getting a lot of snow, but it's best to get a snow blower now as they sell out quick when there is snow in the forecast. This snow blower looks like it will be fine for light duty residential use. It is electric so it is much lighter weight than a comparable gas model. The body and auger are both made out of plastic. I wasn’t expecting that, and I will be curious how that holds up over the long term. It may be fine, we will see. Assembly was easy, it basically consisted in attaching the handle. I plugged it in and it ran like it is supposed to. I will await a good snowfall to put it to some real use.
