You won't get more than 20 min of run time if you use the self propel feature, which is why we bought this mower. I have a small yard and can't get it done with one 5ah battery. I do like the mower, but they should have included 2 batteries.
No. And after a couple of months the battery wont fully charge
Comes ready to mow. Insert the battery install the mulching attachment and you're ready to mow.
Absolutely. I have a smaller yard and can do it on their 2.0 Ah battery. The Ah is only a rating of the batteries storage capacity, not its output. The 2.0 Ah battery will produce as much power as the 5 Ah battery but will only run 40 percent as long.
yes. it does.
Works good on my St Augustine lawn. However, the self-propel function on my mower is only in the fast mode, the controller does not work. I have been waiting 2 months for the parts to come in. The authorized repairman says Ryobi distributor is forever getting the parts.
Yes, you can adjust the speed. It goes down to almost a crawl at the lowest setting, so your father should be good with that speed.
Much, much less. Hardly noticeable.
It says not to do that, to just use a wet rag on it. You don't want to short it out.
I don't like to use the bag and the mulch plug doesn't work well enough to keep the grass out of the blade and shutting it down. There is a side shute "available" but it isn't available online or in stores. I called Ryobi themselves and was told that it was one of 3 things...they aren't making them anymore, they are changing the shute to make it bigger, or they are temporarily out of stock but there is no way, and no one to call, to know which one it is. My daughter likes the mower but if there is no way to get the shute, I'm taking mine back rather than waiting until the return time frame expires waiting to see. There really isn't anywhere to go once you've gone to the company who makes the mower and they don't know.
