Ryobi battery
The battery works fine, but I got it to replace my mower battery and the cover doesn't fit over it so it must be larger than the original battery. It doesn't seem to be a problem but something to note.

Innovative product that should be in every toolbox
This tools has everything you need. I use the 40v 5.0 AH or the 40v 6.0 AH and am able to hook up my laptop or TV to the electrical outlet and can easily charge my cell phone all day and still have bars leftover the end of the day.
There’s an LED light and a handle to carry for convenience. Perfect tool.

Powering Big Appliances
W/ the 1800W power inverter/generator, i kno that will power refrigerators. Out of curiosity, i tried this tool w/ only 1 battery on my new refrigerator & it was able to successfully power the appliance. My other refrigerator & freezer, it couldn't bc those appliances are older & draw more power. This refrigerator in the image below is new, & energy efficient. Refrigerator motor sounds normal. Unsure of duration of battery life with this load. 4AH battery in image. Additional testing required

Too Big. Pictures Say It All
The 5AH battery (left) in photos 1&2 is the replacement for the old 5AH battery (right). Ryobi says it's a fit for my 2018 RY40109 Mower. Problem is, the mower's battery cover won't close with the new battery installed. Ryobi reps keep insisting that it will fit, but when questioned about the hatch being open, they say they don't recommend running with the mower this way. (third photo). Talking to them about this seems useless. So I'll post my frustration here, with a goal to switch brands ASAP

So Far So Good!
This is my second Ryobi battery and they work great with my mower and vacuum. They also don't take very long to charge either. A bit pricey but I think they are worth it.

Charge with care make sure you’re home!
Used a five amp battery pack with my chainsaw this weekend and the picture below is the result after charging.
The battery was HOT after using it and I let it sit for over two hours before charging it.
I have probably only used this battery pack 6-8 times since I’ve had it.
So just make sure that wherever you’re charging it keep it away from anything flammable and keep an eye on it.
Don’t place on charge and leave home!

Convenient and easy to use
Since I already had the 40 volt battery from something else I previously purchased, this seemed like the most economic purchase for me in terms of inverters, it's only 300 watts but in my opinion it's awesome I actually can use it with my blow dryer as long as I hold the cool button which means it's great for camping etc actually it takes half of the battery just to charge my phone and that's not good but , but it has so many great uses it's very small so it doesn't take up hardly any room, I highly recommend it, the only reason I only gave it four stars is because when you use it it puts off a slight smell of Grease which is not that appealing.

Good News/Bad News - and a word of caution
Bought op4050 (5 amp) model because my 2-year old 2.6 amp battery would only run chainsaw for 15 minutes. Charged my new battery overnight and it ran for... 8 minutes! Good news is that warranty 800 operator was friendly and is shipping me a new battery. Bad news is still have to wait two more weeks for a decent battery. Date code incidated battery was produced 15 months ago. This again confirms lessons I have painfully learned about Ryobi batteries. If you buy from anyone other than Home Depot, Ryobi WILL NOT honor a warranty. It sucks how expensive these batteries are, but bite the bullet, but from Depot, and keep your receipt and order number for the full three years.

battery doesn't hold the charge after 8 month of light use.
i have leaf blower, hedge trimmer, chainsaw and purchased additional 5amp battery. i used them about 3 times in the 8 months. The 2 battery no longer hold the charge. i can't trust them to buy another battery. all tool go into crawl space. DON'T BUY THEIR BATTERY OPERATE TOOLS.
