40V HP Brushless Whisper Series 190 MPH 730 CFM Blower and Backpack Battery w/ (2) 6.0 Ah Batteries & Charger

I needed a blower since my old one is just not powerful enough to do the job. The first time I use the Ryobi blower I was (no pun intended) blown away. This tool makes it easy to clean up things on hard surfaces like sidewalks and driveways plus it can be used to clear gutters and things like leaves on the lawn. Since it comes with two batteries you do not have to worry about your battery needing to be recharged while you wait. You can continue with your project. The backpack is a nice extra and makes it easier for many of the projects I mentioned. I just wish I had gotten this last fall when I needed a blower with these features.

This is a great high power blower that runs on batteries instead of gasoline. This blower is quieter than my other two older Ryobi blowers. I measured the difference with my digital SPL meter and this new blower measures around 6 dB-SPL A-weighted quieter than my other 2 older Ryobi blowers. I measured the various components on my scale and the results are: Blower without battery nor adapter – 6 pounds; Backpack with 2 batteries including cabling – 20 pounds; Charger with its cabling 6 pounds. The battery charger is solid and strong. I measured the power consumption of the charger and it measured 262 watts while charging a battery and less than 1 watt when all of the batteries were charged. The charger charges one battery at a time when plugged into the pack back. The blower works well with just 1 battery and no back pack. I compared the performance with 1 battery compared to 2 batteries in the backpack and the blower ran faster with 2 batteries. One thing that I am disappointed with is that the blower is tippy left and right when being set down with the backpack power cable plugged in. Other than that, this is a great blower.

The RYOBI 40V HP Brushless Whisper Series 190 MPH 730 CFM Blower and Backpack Battery w/ (2) 6.0 Ah Batteries & Charger is remarkable and so easy to use. It gives you the ability to use as either a backpack blower or as a handheld for quick pickups. The backpack is awesome because you can charge all three batteries at once in the backpack and it is done in less than an hour. When wearing the backpack, holding all three batteries, it disperses the weight evenly so you can carry all of them comfortably. The blower can blow up to 190 miles an hour and can get particles that you would not be able to get with another blower. The machine itself is very lightweight and easy to use for a long period of time. The latch for the backpack door did arrive un-assembled and it took some finagling with a screwdriver to get the handle on. It was laying loose in the bottom of the box, so evidently it was an oversight with quality control. Otherwise, instructions and assembly were reasonably simple. This RYOBI is a great blower to have and it makes yard work a little easier without having to start up often troublesome gas blowers. It’s also compatible with the RYOBI 40V system. RYOBI will be all we buy from now on.

The Ryobi 40V HP Brushless Whisper Series Blower is the most powerful blower that I have seen! At 730 CFM and 190 MPH everything in its path is moved. No more debris left behind in corners or in small cracks like with a gasoline powered blower or even an 18 Volt electric blower. And even though it blows like crazy, it is super quiet. The Backpack case with two 6 Ah 40V Batteries lasts an incredibly long time. I was not initially impressed with the Backpack, but it fits comfortably and the cord to the blower is plenty long enough to provide full movement of the blower. I have used it several times and it is awesome! The handle, variable speed trigger and cruise control are all perfectly designed for comfort and the turbo button is easy to reach for when you need that “extra” blowing power. I like the on board LCD screen that acts as a “fuel gauge” for all of the batteries in the Backpack. The only thing missing from this kit is some kind of hook for hanging the backpack and battery box on the wall. The ability to hang the battery box and Integrated charger on the wall would be nice. Without a means of hanging the backpack and battery box they must be stored on a table or bench when not in use. I have a small shop, the battery box and integrated charger takes up almost all of the space on my workbench. The Ryobi 40V HP WHISPER SERIES Handheld/Backpack Blower is backed by a 5-year tool warranty and the batteries have a 3-year warranty! I definitely recommend this blower!

The Ryobi 40V HP Brushless Whisper Series 190 MPH 730 CFM Blower and Backpack is very easy to operate. The blower itself is light weight but still has great power. The backpack acts as a charger for the batteries as well as powering the blower when using the backpack. The backpack carries up to 3 batteries with it using one battery at a time....you don't have to stop to change batteries when one runs down in the backpack. The backpack is not heavy when wearing it. It can be used as backpack blower or as a handheld blower for fast clean up! Features include a variable speed trigger, cruise control option, turbo button, and speed tip attachment. The backpack can connect to select RYOBI 40V handheld tools, like a string trimmer, to give you additional work power. The backpack can be used as a multiport rapid charger! This has 4X faster charging and will charge the included (2) 6 Ah batteries in under 60 minutes each. The batteries are compatible with the RYOBI 40V system. This handheld/Backpack Blower is backed by a 5-year tool warranty. I would highly recommend this product.

So this is pretty ridiculous in a good way. The backpack and attachment point to work the blower work as they should. May be worthwhile if you have a large yard and either hate using gas powered tools, or hate stopping to switch batteries. The blower is decently powered (obviously a gas powered one will blow this out of the water). If you don’t want to mess around with gas but want the extended power time, this could work for you. Plus, the backpack works as a charging station.

Wow, I think Ryobi did it, this thing is just like a Gas Blower. It very quite and it has tons of power. It has a backpack that will hold three batteries (they give you two), backpack not too heavy with two batteries in it. Backpack comes apart so you can change batteries without the backpack part, that is really nice. Since we have a large property I put it to work right after the batteries were charged, did the entire property on one change. Very powerful blower and a turbo button to boot. The blower is extremely light weight. Very Nice. Come with a charger as well that plugs into the battery carrier. Ryobi, this is genius, nice job. I'm guessing you can use this backpack on other 40V Devices, can't see why not? Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the combination 40V HP Brushless Whisper Series Backpack/Handheld Blower. This was my introduction into the 40V Series, and it is incredible. This blower just destroys the competition, I will never use a corded blower again. Without a cord and with all that power I can blow leaves and debris off the roof and not have to worry about dragging the cord around making it safer too. I can remove a single battery from the backpack and use the blower being very mobile while on the roof and then put the backpack on while tackling the driveway and lawn for extra run time. The Backpack housing removes from the backpack frame to make a non-bulky charger for up to 3 batteries of any 40V size, mix or match them it's phenomenal. If you want an incredibly powerful leaf blower that rivals gasoline models this is the one. Coupled with a battery backpack/charger that can juice other tools, i.e., Weed Wacker, and the reliability of the RYOBI brand name, makes this an incredible combination.
