Q:Is it easy to remove the blades to have them sharpened

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes and the process is described in detail on pages 23-24 in the Use and Care manual linked above. Mine last all mowing season and I put a freshly sharpened set on when I clean the deck for winter storage. I use deck release spray when cleaned.

Fast, easy and super FUN to use
When it first arrived … to be honest…I was afraid of it. I have never tried to use anything like this. And getting it off the packing crate was quite a task. It got stuck I freaked out and it was just a mess. After that I drove around the yard got used to how to steer it. And NOW I FREAKING LOVE THIS MACHINE. It used to take me over an hour to cut our lawn. With this machine I am done in 15-20 minutes. And I’m not exhausted but exhilarated from riding around. We have just shy of an acre of land. I can cut the grass three times and still have 50% charge left. It’s amazing. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

              Fairly disappointed
We are a Ryobi household! we bought our first home and officially closed on it July 31st of 2020. We had no lawn mower what so ever we have to cut maybe 2 acres. My husband was stoked about his one and within 2 weeks we went and purchased this mower. My husband just got on it yesterday it lasted not even 20 minutes until it died for $4,000 spend 1 year and 9 months ago I’m completely dissatisfied as cutting the lawn is something we both love to do but not in 20 min increments.

                Great Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have old mowers I bought for nothing & constantly have to work on to keep going. My wife decided we needed a new mower & because she had used a zero turn on one of her jobs, wanted to get one. We are so happy we did, don't have to buy gas every two weeks, no oil & no belts to go bad. The yard looks a lot better & it take less time to mow it. We have 8 lots of land in town, over 3/4 of the block. After mowning all of it, it shows we still have 65% charge left.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent lawnmower that runs smooth and like a dream. I wish my vehicle could take corners like that.

                    Bad battery
Had mind since 2019, 100mah. Need it to mow atleast 2 acres each mow. Now in 2022 it cannot mow .69 of an acre. Batteries cost 200+ each. Need 4 batteries. To spend 800+ every 3 year is ridiculous. Batteries should last 5 years and not decrease cutting each year.

The best mower I’ve ever used!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just want to start off by saying this mower is absolutely awesome and an impressive step in the right direction. Ill go over a few key points: Power: The 4 motors provide plenty of power, I continuously get 2+ hours of mowing even in tall grass. And I mean TALL, 24”-36” blades of grass and dense weeds. This thing cuts through it like butter, I also had no issues cutting in wet grass! I was skeptical at first but I quickly realized this was no joke. Cut quality: the cut quality is great, no complaints here. Run time: The run time of this mower is amazing, I have 13 acres of grass and weeds that need to be mowed often and this does the job just fine! I find that I can tackle about 6 acres per day with it. 4 charges will do the truck which is just awesome. Charge time: it’s not super fast but honestly, how long can you possibly mow for? 2 hours of mowing, charge over night, come back the next day or 2 hours of mowing in the morning, charge for 5 hours, and go back to it! Charging is not an issue unless you are using this for commercial purposes and mowing over 3 acres a day. Build quality: great, very comfortable, adjustable seat, looks awesome! I also love how quiet this thing is. When the blades are not engaged it whispers and even with the blades engaged you can still talk to a person nearby. This mower does not leave your entire body tingling from the vibration like other mowers! Those who mow a lot know what I’m talking about. Also, it’s insanely fun and fast! The zero turn controls are so responsive and intuitive. Overall, I am so happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone. Even better, Ryobi will be releasing a new 80V line of zero turns that I can almost guarantee will be even more game changing. Ryobi is disrupting the yard/small tools space and they have a major edge with their cross compatibility and battery platform. I’ve owned other brands of gas/battery powered tools and I have to say that I’ve seed with Ryobi. They have a tool for virtually every purpose and I can use my batteries interchangeably, why would I go anywhere else? The future is promising and I can’t wait to try out their 80V zero turn line up!

Need to work the bugs out
I loved the idea of going battery powered. Unfortunately this mower was faulty right from the start. The blades would shut off about 15 minutes into mowing. Ended up returning the mower and buying a gas powered ZTR.

Battery life… you mean dead battery
We have just hit the one year mark with our Zero Turn Ryobi. What started out as a great product has, within one year, turned into a costly paper weight. The charge indicator is never accurate, and the mower will randomly shut off well before the 20% and try to throw you off the mower. It also never starts at 100%, usually 70%. What was once a one charge now around my acre of land now takes several charges. Today I got 11 minutes. ELEVEN MINUTES. So that’s just fantastic. Ryobi must assume that all I want to do is charge and mow my lawn for several days at a time. (For reference no, I want to get it done and over with in one go, thanks). We have been in contact with Ryobi’s warranty department which has offered several ideas but no solutions. FYI the battery is only warrantied for one year because they know it’s trash. We have contacted the local mower place to have them check it out only to be told do not bother bringing it in because Ryobi will not tell them how to service this product! Well played Ryobi on putting a product to market with no true warranty services or help.

                            So far so good
I bought this mower to replace my Troy Built 54" zero turn with a steering wheel. The engine blew and was too expensive to fix. I initially ordered the 54" Ryobi 115Ah model but it was lost during shipment. Since my 2.6 acre lot had not been mowed in over 4 weeks I cancelled the online order and I went down to my local Home Depot and bought this 42" 100 Ah model and have no regrets. It was rather difficult switching from a steering wheel to levers but I got a handle on it after a couple of hours. I mowed the 2.6 acres on a single charge today with 10% battery life left. Keep in mind that this is only my second mow with this machine so I am still a novice and my yard doesn't have one square foot of level, flat ground.
