Questions & Answers

Am I able to replace with the 100 Ah batteries?

Asked by: Supaflygator
Hi Supaflygator, You can replace your 75AH Battery with the 100AH Battery for more run time. LPC12-100 is the model number for the 100AH Battery sold at Home Depot, that would fit in the ZTR Mower.

I really like the looks of this mower and am seriously debating getting it, but I have a couple of questions. First, I know that it has the capability to tow, but what is the payload capacity? I have a 1000 lb dump cart, and I do use my current gas mower to tow that around without issue. Second, does the charger require a 110 plug or 220? I can imaging providing a 220 would be a bit of a pain, so I'm assuming it's 110, but don't want to be unpleasantly surprised if it's not.
Asked by: kitt614
Hi Kitt614, The 75AH Zero Turn Riding Mower can tow up to 500lbs. including the person on it. It takes a standard 110 plug to charge it. Hope this helps!

Will this mower fit through a 50” gate or is that too narrow?

Asked by: Jack
Max width with discharge chute down is 51". Pick up the discharge chute and it is 46". It should fit no problem.

Does it have a 12 volt DC output so you can run a sprayer or other accessories?
Asked by: Tex
No. The only output it has is a USB outlet on the keypad so that you can charge your phone while mowing. For me, I would probably not need the USB outlet since when I mow I would leave my phone in the house to charge.

I ordered this online and it took a few weeks to get delivered, but it was worth the wait. I have to say, this mower is a pleasure to run. There is almost no vibration whatsoever, the noise levels are very low, and the rider comfort is great. Overall it is less tiring to run than a gas mower. The battery life is surprisingly good also. From a full charge I was able to cut grass for 90 minutes and it still had 50% charge left. The quality of the grass cut is excellent. On areas with tall weeds it was able to power through them with at least as much torque as my 25 horsepower gas riding mower, so I would say it has plenty of power. After experiencing this mower I will never go back to gas again! The only complaint I could say is that it would be nice if it started out in low speed drive as the default. It starts out in high speed drive which is tricky to steer in tight spaces, i.e. like backing out of your garage. You will want to start in low speed mode when in close quarters for safety because otherwise it goes too fast. Overall a great mower!

So far (2nd use) everything its hyped to be. 1.25 acres cut in 1/2 the time of tractor (38"), great clean cut, higher cutting height is beneficial. Very quiet of course. Powered with home solar, no fluids, quality build, good warranty - what's not to like? Whole yard used ~50% charge. ZTR takes a little getting used to, but not much. Nits: the rubber bumper strips on the cutting deck came off - looked like they were taped on. Assembling drive bars needed a little adjustment to be sure they're even. Need to reset to neutral when transitioning from reverse to forward (sometimes). Drive wheels can tear up soft turf when turning tight, function of ZTR and high torque I suspect. All in all, great mower. Expecting it to last at least a decade, planning on one battery replacement at 5 years.

I did like some others and purchased this online based on other reviews and reviews from the previous model. I am upgrading from a 4 speed 1971 wheel horse that still runs today. This thing is really zippy as long as the grass holds up. It is very very easy to assembly. The hardest part of the assembly and getting it to the charge area I set up was backing the zero turn "to protect the mower deck" off the metal pallet that is was shipped on. Everything is written well and there are a lot of helpful video's. The cut looks great I have yet to cut my entire 2.7 ish acres, but going by the battery indicator looks like that should not be an issue. The big take away that I am giving you is the batteries must be stored in a warm above freezing area. It says so in the manual. If the batteries last this thing is a game changer!

The price was a little high, but is also the first year it is available. As the other brands put out electric models, the competition should bring prices down. I have 2 acres and can finish no problem on a single charge. Cuts with ease and has a lot of nice features like slow mode which is great for learning since is my first zero turn, also handy on sloped terrain. The slow speed cut is also nice to conserve battery life is areas where the grass is not too dense. I am a little concerned that the batteries only have a one year warranty since they seem expensive to replace and Depot did not offer an extended warranty on this item, at least when I bought it. Hoping to get a few years out of them. My lawn tools are all electric now, its nice not to store gas in the garage anymore. Thanks Ryobi.

After three missed delivery windows, the third-party delivery service finally dropped this off this evening. The crate it came on required some elbow grease to dissemble and I don't quite know what to do with it. It is a metal behemoth that is currently sitting in the garage. All the trouble getting it aside I can't say enough about the mower. It came with 85% charge and since my grass was now about 6" tall I decided to baptize it by fire. It ripped through my 1.5 acres in 45 minutes and only 40% of the charge. It is my first time driving a zero-turn, but once you understand the nuance of carefully moving one lever (the faster wheel) to keep it in a straight line, it is off to the races! Not only did this cut my 6" grass to 3.5" quickly, it didn't leave clumps of clippings. It blew and scattered them to end of the earth. I will add that there are two modes to the drive and for the blades: slow and fast. Slow speed with fast cut was perfect for the tall grass that was around trees and shrubs. Slow speed made maneuvering around delicate obstacles quite easy and the fast blades made short work of the tall thick grass. The thing turns on a dime, as expected. One concern I had was hills, as I have about 100' long stretch of the side yard that slopes about 30-35 degree for 25'. It is steep enough the kids use it to sled down in the winter. The mower in slow mode felt like it didn't want to go up it, but it did. In fast mode, I actually had to pull on the reigns as it started to pop a wheelie. Mowing down the steep slope was cake, but going up required paying attention. I either I need a wheelie bar or just need take it easy going up! Right now I am elated. It is everything I hoped it would be. Only time will tell about its durability, but if I treat it right, I expect it will last a very long time. On a side note, thank you to Home Depot for helping light a fire under the seats of the shipper, who seemed to not care if I ever received my order. I appreciated the extra effort it took.

Same width as old gas mower, yet 15 mins faster due to zero turn maneuverability. AMAZING CUT!!! The two times I've used it, the grass had grown for 2 weeks each time. Didn't bog down once, compared to old gas mower which would have bogged down on at least 1/3 of the yard. Doesn't cut like gas mower, doesn't pull grass up then cut, but rather cuts what's standing up. Has made yard greener and thicker. Only as loud as a big fan. Rides great and very comfortable. Only 0.5 acre yard, 70% battery left. Seems to 'hang' longer at 70%, than when at higher %'s. Very sturdy build. Friends have commented that it is better built than their 50+ inch name brand zero turns. Only maintenance is keeping it clean and blades sharp. Otherwise, keep it on the charger between mows. Price tag is a bit steep, debated for a year before pulling trigger to buy. Has been worth every penny to me and haven't even had it a month yet.

Because I had to wait for delivery the grass - 1/2 acre - 12” high. So here’s the story. It cut like a champ. Never bogged down. Really nice cut for a 2 blade system. Hopefully it stays glued together

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EASY !!!!!!!!!!! The ease of ordering, home delivery, assembly, and operation is amazing ! The friendly extremely polite home delivery service team members were dressed neat and clean in uniform shirts, on time, and efficiently put the mower in our garage. Two of us armed with our own tools for 13mm, 14mm, and 15mm open end and sockets, disassembled the nearly indestructible shipping container and assembled the zero turn mower's seat and arms in about 30 minutes. We had watched the safety video online and took a test run within 45 minutes of unpacking. The batteries were sufficiently charged and the charger is robust industrial quality with cooling fins, led status light, and has a carrying handles ! After having gas powered lawn tractors for decades, the biggest surprise for us is how quiet the mower is even with the blade engaged which sounds more like a vacuum cleaner than a mower. So easy to drive around bushes, flower beds, and obstacles. Straight even cuts, no adjustments required. We like everything about this 42 inch RYOBI electric mower !!!
