Q:Is Ryobi making a conversion kit to bring these up to the 80-volt platform? or any Lithuim patform? Or should we just fill up a landfill because TTI can make more money on a new mower?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Landfill - Thank you for your question. At the moment, there is not a conversion kit for converting the Lead Acid batteries to 80v Lithium-Ion batteries. If your batteries are no longer funtioning I would recommend recycling them. I hope this helps! Additionally, if you need further support, then a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional is here for you, Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (EST) when you call or text us at 1.800.525.2579 or through email or live chat when you visit us at https://www.ryobitools.com/support/contact. Q:I have bad knees- wondering how you mount and dismount from this mower? Do you have to step up on top of it and sit down? Does the seat swivel to the side? Thanks

      Answer This Question

A:  There is an aftermarket device called a Donbar. It bolts to the floor of zero turn mowers an gives the operator a handhold to use when mounting and dismounting the mower.

A:  Hello, Jr74 - Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the seat does not swivel. You will have to step onto the mower to sit in the seat. I hope this helps! A:  Hello, Natedj - Thank you for your question. The drive function does not pull a ton of power so it would last for awhile, but we have not done any distance testing. I hope this helps! A:  I don't know about this mower, but I have one of the RM480e mowers and have driven it towing a fully loaded 7 cu.ft. trailer for 6 miles with almost no charge usage ($0.02).

              Fun to drive
I really like my mower. It’s super fast road speed is impressive. I use it to pull a wagon and a jet ski trailer. It has amazing pulling power and is virtually silent when the mower is off. I can take the deck off in 5 minutes when I use it to pull a wagon off road. Makes cleaning the deck easy. The best feature is there is no carburetor to clog and no belts to break. I don’t have a big yard but the maneuverability is crazy. I use about 20% of my battery to cut my place in 45 minutes.

                Awesome mower for the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is great! Love how it cuts my yard and saves so much time. And virtually no maintenance. I just wish the batteries lasted longer and recharged quicker.

                    Good at first
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 3rd year with this mower. I really like the mower, and it seems like a quality machine. I like that the seat is nice and not just the foam type that cracks, and the hole thing seems sturdy. The problem is battery life. The first year was great, I could do my whole 1.5 acres of yard in one charge. The second year was okay. Just had to do it in two mows. Third year is pretty unacceptable, now it’s more like 3 mows, so I have to try to get some mowing in every chance I get.

                      Quiet Mower
Impressive mower with a very good cut. I mow 4 acres up and down hills. I can mow 3 acres before recharging...the hills plus my weight reduces battery life faster than anticipated. I do enjoy mowing with it.

                      Great at first. Diminishing returns…
I purchased my ZT540e about 2 years ago. I have loved the way it runs quietly and efficiently. However, I noticed a cracked weld near the front of the mower that should not happen. Also the battery life has greatly diminished from the time that I first used the mower. I can’t finish mowing my yard on one charge now. Do I need to buy a replacement battery already?

Great Lawn mower, just need to upgrade
This is a great lawn mower but it needs a major upgrade. Since Batteries are only good for 1 season, 2nd season comes around and your mower blades shut off at 60-65%. You don't have to believe me but look at reviews and why they changed their minds at 1 yr of owning this. With Lithium upgrade as shown in videos, it works GREAT. Here is a Video on changing out the battery from Lead Acid to Lithium. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Hn9ZQDwiLU&list=PLOggQzS4fbrzVFK1A9AgxZOVj5CgPmHnO&pp=gAQB

Battery died at exactly 1 year. Filed warranty papers. Still waiting
Battery died at exactly 1 year. It says it has 90% life left but it lasts 15-20m max on a charge WHILE DRIVING SLOW

                            Great mower,
I got this mower last fall in Peterborough Ont. I love it and I have converted it to solar . It is completely charged by the sun. The solar panel also provides great shade. The major problem so far is you cannot buy replacement blades in Home Depot Canada. You can see my youtube video ( save the world go green)
