Mow your lawn with ease with RYOBI's first lithium-ion battery powered zero turn riding mower, the RYOBI Lithium Electric ZTR. HP Technology and 80V batteries combine to deliver the power equivalent of a 42 HP gas engine, while eliminating the hassle and maintenance of a gas mower. This rider cuts up to 4 acres per charge with the help of five brushless motors, three 80V 10 Ah batteries and four 40V 12 Ah batteries, with a Super Charger that fully recharges in five hours, so you're ready for your next job. The revolutionary iDrive system uses an intuitive one-handed joystick steering to maneuver around objects more easily than a traditional ZTR. The innovative LCD screen displays runtime, battery life and cut/drive speed while in use, while the Riding Mower app allows you to monitor charge time and battery life remotely. This riding mower features the Cross Cut multi-blade system, providing superior cutting and mulching performance, while the 12-point height adjustment allows you to select the perfect cutting height between 1.5 in. and 4.5 in. The rubber side discharge chute makes it easy to maneuver around landscaping so users are not restricted by where they can cut. For your comfort, this mower has three USB ports, a storage compartment, LED headlights and premium seat suspension.

Q:If you have to remove the batteries if the mower is stored at temps below 50F, How are the 80v stored? Can they be piled on top of each other or side by side in a wheeled plastic storage bin for ease of moving them around? Are there any safety concerns?

            Stripes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can this mower stripe out like a Toro? Most people don’t realize the ability to stripe is party the operator partly the condition of the turf and hopefully chemically treated for weeds and partly the vacuum system of the deck and if it will pull the blades up fast enough to cut and discharge.

Wonderful but overstated Range (~1 acre)
Mower is excellent quantity and fun to drive. Recommended (by me) for small lawns 1-2 acres. Range: I am only providing my experience with range (the reason I am returning the mower). Using all three 80V plus four 40V batteries at full charge, I am averaging about one acre per full charge. The grass in question is about 1 acre of level around-the-house-mowing with about 6-7 trees or objects. The remaining 3 acres is wide-open with 5-10% grade. Requires 4 or 5 full charges to mow everything.

Excellent solution for the large lot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with my Ryobi 54" electric mower. I purchased it about 9 months ago to mow a new 5 acre property. The mower is powerful and relatively quiet. Depending on the time of year and thickness of grass, I can mow about 2/3 of the property on a charge. A lot depends on the condition of the grass, height, temperature, etc. I'm fine with doing part in the morning and finishing in the evening. The full charge, from 15% to 100% takes around 2 hours. The ride is very comfortable and, frankly, it's kinda fun. In California, only electric mowers are now available. For my money, the Ryobe 54" is the best you can buy.

                  Power to spare
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome cutting on my 4 acres! There is no hint of bogging this mower. Handling with the stick control does have a learning curve. It seems start becoming intuitive after about 2 acres. There are safety features that will probably keep users safe.

I have been waiting for this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must say I was debating buying this for the last few months. The price went up and I almost went Ego. I do not own any Ryobi 40v tools or Ego tools. So my purchase had to do a lot with an expansion to whatever platform I decided on. I did a ton of research before pulling the trigger on this and I must say that it basically came down to build quality, company name, the warranty and also having a free hand. Driving this lawnmower is like playing a video game. It is just plain fun and enjoyable. The seat is plush and on my bumpy lawn, I rarely bounced up and it is a very comfortable ride. The deck is 54" and it is not flimsy compared to the Ego. For example, I hit a tree on my first run and I am pretty sure the lawnmower laughed. The deck went up and I only had to reposition the cut length, there was not even a scratch on it. I have a little over 2 acres and with my old 42" lawnmower it was at least a 2 hour job. With the Ryobi, it is now a 1 hour job. No belts to worry about, no oil, no gas, just charge and cut. With any zero turn, you must worry about hills and get used to how it drives. This machine cuts and goes up my hills with no issue. It brakes immediately and very responsive. You can also cut while in reverse, a bonus since my old mower did not have that capability. It is easy to maneuver and does not create divots in the lawn when turning. On my first run, it wasn't easy to drive out the gate and takes a little time. My lines were not straight at first, but about half way through I got used to it. On my second run, it was a breeze and I was happy about how it performed. The LCD screen is nice and simplistic. It tells you everything you need to know. It will tell you the charge and you can adjust the speed if needed. I have only cut on low speed and low for the blades and it seems to work perfectly. Maybe I'll raise the speeds once I become more of an expert on the machine one day. I haven't taken the deck off yet to clean, but I have mainly used my Ryobi 40v leaf blower to remove any lawn clippings. I was one of the lucky ones that got the lawnmower and leaf blower combo, along with a backpack that holds 3 40v batteries. I am debating on getting the mulching kit. As of right now, I am not sure I need one (cutting the leaves from fall may tell me different). With the 6 blades included, it cuts up the lawn with very little lawn clippings seen. It looks like it mulches up already. I may purchase anyways due to my 2 stand up gardens being 58" apart from one another. Now that I have the leafblower and with me being so happy about this lawnmower, I am looking to now expand my collection with the 18" whisper chainsaw and most likely the weed eater and even more. You can see in one of my photos attached that I have now created a wall that I will add more Ryobi products to it. I also created a ramp, thanks to the metal frame that was included with the lawnmower. I was looking forward to reviewing this product as I do other reviews for other companies and I was looking forward to what Ryobi had to offer. Their customer service is top notch and very knowledgeable. They stand behind their products and that is always nice to know. I am very happy with my purchase and hope this will be my last lawnmower I will ever have to purchase. Thank you Ryobi!

                      Sports car of zero turns!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give this zero turn 5 stars, but unfortunately I had a couple issues with it. I'm used to mowing the whole lawn (well manicured ) with my gas zero turn with no issues. But I have to be very careful with this zero turn. I'm not sure if I hit a root or a piece of bark, but one of the blades came loose and sheared off the adapter that holds both blades together. My lawn also has an area where the pitch of the lawn is at a 45⁰ angle. The zero turn would slip and go side ways. In not sure if it's the tires that don't have enough grip or the mower is so light that it slides. I'm leaving this area to my old gas mower. The app also needa a lot of work. You can only connect to it via Bluetooth, meaning that you can't check up on your mower remotly. All the info on the app is the same info on the mower, so really no point of the app if you have to be next to the mower to connect. Lastly the mower uses the smaller 40v batteries before it uses the 80v. This means when my mower is low on charge.. I can't plug it in and use the other batteries for my other ryobi devices while it charges. I have to wait for them to charge, which defeats the purpose of the 40v batteries. I have 4 acres and my mower runs out of charge only after 2.5 acres... so it now takes me 2 days to mow my lawn.

Low Maintenance and more power than my JD!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My John Deere S160 has 24 HP, and this Ryobi has 42 Horse Power, so I've been using it not only to mow, but also to quietly tow most of my grass and land management tools, like the chipper, the scarifier, and the fully laden gorilla cart. The individual motors running the 3 blades means no belts to worry about either. The iDrive joystick driving system takes some getting used to - especially if you want to reverse into or out of parking it, but you get the hang of it soon enough. The cut is even, smooth, and quietly done, but if you need to remove the cutting deck to clean it or change the blades, it is easily removed and you can slide it out from under the main body - which is a lot easier than buying a separate tractor lift and working under it like you have to for the JD. Highly recommended, and cheap to run!

Everything about this mower is Amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a landscaping company and decided to try this mower to save on fuel. Not only have I saved a ton on fuel, but gained a few customers because Zero emissions. This mower has by far exceeded my expectations. It lays down a beautiful cut and is faster than any gas mower I have ever owned. My guys argue over who’s gonna get to use it. So I will be purchasing a few more of these in the near future and also some of the 40v trimmers and blowers. Highly recommend
