I think that it would just go at a slow speed and be sure you use the drill bit.

You definitely get what you pay for. The smaller saws were ok, but the larger saws cut a very sloppy hole and the arbor comes loose every few seconds.

I purchased this product because I was hanging some kitchen cabinets and needed to make some holes for the overrange microwave I was installing. It worked as expected and was easy to use on my Ryobi drill.

Ryobi
Once again a fantastic tool for a low price. I've always been a DeWalt fan, but Ryobi is coming really close!!!

Hole maker
Works well on thin wood but not as great with thick wood.

Pure Garbage
The Ryobi hole saw set is worthless. The arbor kept coming loose every 5 seconds. However, I suppose I can't expect much more from a $13 kit. You definitely get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and get the Milwaukee kit. It will serve any purpose and last quite some time.

Better than the other hole saw at Home Depot
I was using it a lot trying to drill a lot of holes. The welding in the middle that holds the hole saw broke but I think I was using it a lot and it got really hot. I returned it and got another one and have not had a problem with it since.
