A: That depends on what you use them for, and if you add buffing compounds, oils, or cleaning solutions. Typically, we use just ONE accessory for each type and grit of compound. That prevents heavier grits scratching a surface finished with finer grits. If we use these to clean things, ( As I often do ) then we should use ONE accessory for each type of cleaning compound. For instance, I use bartender's friend ( a very mild abrasive) to clean pots & pans plus the glass stove top. If y9u must clean these, then SOAK them in a 50/50 alcohol water solution for at least one hour. Then you can place them in a small plastic cup half-full of water with one small drop of detergent. Use your drill to spin them in that detergent water. Then take the drill/ accessory OUTSIDE and SPIN DRY on high speed. This description takes almost as long to write as the entire cleaning process. So please understand, none of this is difficult. It just requires common sense. I have used these cleaning techniques for over fifty years and never had a problem. But generally, I prefer to dedicate ONE accessory to ONE type of use... It just saves time.

I am sorry, unfortunately we do not have a process for cleaning these as they are consumable and often need to be replaced once they have exceeded their usage. A: Hello Chris, thank you for your question, the RYOBI Contour Metal Buffing Kit (5-Piece) is meant to be used on metals, we cannot recommend it for your counter tops.
A: It could, but that type of buffing is better done with a large car buffer. We must be careful when using small pads with high-powered drills. Cheap car buffers are designed to run slow and cool. That prevents a moment's inattention from ruining a fine finish.
