    A:  The rubber attachment is loose enough to slip on a paper sanding drum-- then you tighten the nut on the shaft and it forces the rubber part to swell up and the drum cannot come off.

          A:  Oddly, the diameter and height are not shown anywhere. That's the first thing to look for when choosing a tool. Bad practice to have such incomplete info.

            A:  The package in the picture is labeled 1-1/2?, so presumably it is 1.500? in diameter.

              Handy drum sanders for your drill
              This small set of sander drums is a handy and fairly useful easy to use sander set. This can be handy for various jobs of finishing, or spot sanding. The drums are all the same diameter, so corners are limited, but it comes with 3 different fine to course sanding grades. The mounting drum is easy to use, and fits any normal drill. The wrench included will do the tightening of the sanders on the drum for use. I do recommend this set, although it is somewhat limited due to having only 1 diameter drum to use, so only larger corners are accessible with this set.

              Very convenient in small spaces
              One very handy drum sander set. With the three different size sanding wheels, you can do the job, beginning to end. Once you have your piece ‘rough cut,’ you can start to smooth it down toward your finish line with the 80 grit. Then, once it gets near the line, you can clean it up with the 120 grit, which does a very good job. Then, for the final run, the 220 puts the finish on your work. The drum attaches very easily. Hold the drum in one hand while loosening the nut with your other. You can feel it rubber drawing smaller. Truly, a quick and easy change. Six sanding wheels are included, two for each grit size, which should last a while, if used gently. Replacements are available and inexpensive. Great for shop or tool box. I keep everything tied together in my tool box so everything stays together.

                I used these little sanding drums on the wooden toys that I make for the kids. This set was perfect for sanding and shaping contours and irregular shapes that I needed to do. This set includes (1) Drum Sander Drill Attachment, (2) 80 Grit Sanding Sleeves, (2) 120 Grit Sanding Sleeve, (2) 220 Grit Sanding Sleeves and (1) Wrench for Tightening Sanding Drum. The sanding drum features a 1/4 in. Hex shank making it compatible with drills and impact drivers. I also have a stationary spindle sander, but sometimes I find that I need to use a more portable sanding tool to get into hard to reach spots.These drums are roughly 1.5 inches in diameter and that was a great size for some of my little wood toys.
