Is there a trigger lock so you don’t have to always press with finger?

Is there a trigger lock so you don’t have to always press with finger?
Asked by: Nannie
No it doesn't have a trigger lock, but let gravity be your trigger lock. Works for me. Of course, full power is the only mode this way, but on another tool with a trigger lock, "full bore" is usually the only mode also.

How long will a 4ah battery last in leaf blower
Asked by: Ramcharger
I love this leaf blower, my son in law bought it for me after my husband passed and I wanted something to use that was light and easy, however, when fully charged I can't blow but 30 minutes and the battery needs to be charged again. Is this normal??

My previous favorite was the discontinued sears 150 mph gray model. Sad to see them go. I owned 3 of them, & they were fantastic. ( corded though ) That blower smoked all the other ones I have owned, & the others all cost more, but I always went back to it. Awhile ago I started using cordless models & became enamoured with the ability to immediately clean something without the cord hassle. Not as strong, but the handiness led me to go cordless unless it was a big project. I looked at the twin turbo fan Ryobi 40, & I really wanted to get one as they look so cool, but the reviews are dreadful. I ran across reviews of this thing & people loved it. OK, I bought one. My new favorite. Quiet , cordless, good looking, & the ability to have vari speed is an immediate cause for ownership. Think if your car had only one speed, & you finally bought one with a gas pedal. It's a whole new world. In blower land anyway. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and very helpful I am a 71 years old female and we have a yard that gets a lot of leaves from a neighbor's tree. We love the tree because it gives us some good shade but when it looses its leaves we have a mess in our front yard. We have a mostly rock front yard (we live in Arizona) so the leaves end up around the bushes in big piles and all over the rock. Yesterday I used the blower for the first time and was so happy. My son gave us a big commercial one but it is too unwieldy for me to use effectively and it blows the leaves all over the place. It is so powerful that it is hard to control where the leaves end up. This blower has just the right amount of blow power. It gets the leaves out of where they are stuck but doesn't blow them so far away that I have go back and round them up. I was able to move every thing to the driveway out of the rock and the bushes and then into garbage bags. It was actually fun. The blower is light enough that I can handle it with ease and it does a great job. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but could easily be made quieter Overall this unit works well. My biggest complaint is that it could easily be designed to be quieter. If you put you hand (you need a fairly large hand to do this) under the unit at the base and "pinch" in the sides of the clear tube on each side at the "Ryobi" sticker while the unit is running the noise level is reduced quite noticeably. The tube rattles a lot. There are a number of easy (cheap or free) ways Ryobi could have engineered this problem out of existence, I'm disappointed they did not do so. The blower is designed to shut off when the battery gets below some threshold power/voltage level to avoid possible damage to the battery. Overall this is a good feature, but some warning via an "idiot light" or by (say) pulsing the blower fan a couple times to alert the user ahead of time that you've only got a few minutes of battery life left would be nice. Like all the Ryobi products I own, they are solidly built and are priced fairly. And sure enough, this tool blows leaves. Just got it this fall and bagged up over 20 bags of leaves to be hauled away to the recycling center. I only have a couple of concerns and they are not enough for me to regret my purchase, just warning any future buyers that may be expecting more than this product can deliver. First, it does not have the blowing power of a gas-powered or electric cord-powered blower. But you may not need wind-tunnel quality power. Second, the battery is good for about 20 -25 minutes of sustained blowing. So if you have a big yard, have a second battery handy, or maybe a third. And it doesn't just slow down the action, it just quits. So, if you have modest leaf or grass-clipping blowing needs or want to clear a dusting of dry snow off of the side walk of driveway, you'll be satisfied. Just don't expect the kind of cyclone-power your neighbor gets from his 1/2 horsepower gas-powered Honda. On the plus side, no gas and oil to fool with or an electric cord that you have to drag around the yard and get tangled in the shrubbery. On the very plus side, it is relatively quiet, so you won't wake up the neighborhood early on a Sunday morning, like your neighbor.

I love the variable speed blower I just got. Variable speed gets into corners, gentles leaves out of bushes, and pushes piles of leaves too. My wife and I fight to use it we both love it's ease of use.

I've been using it nearly every day at work for almost two years to clean up leaves, acorns, walnuts, branches, wood chips, rocks & gravel, junk from messy customers --EVERYTHING-- to keep my work facility looking good. The blower is heavy-duty enough to take care of all of these materials but not too heavy to blow out my elbow as I "sweep" it all up. I tried one of the smaller Ryobi blowers but it didn't do the job well enough tho it was nice & light-weight. The trigger is touch-sensitive and has different speed settings depending how hard you depress the mechanism. Many of the negative reviews were about the battery not lasting long, which can happen if you use the blower on constant "high" power. You can use it on a low setting to get the lighter stuff moving, then graduate to full power for bigger items or wet leaves that stick to the ground. Using my blower this way I'll get plenty of life out of my battery to finish an entire corporate yard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge improvement over 1st generation blower I have had and thoroughly enjoyed the first iteration of the One+ blower. It was fantastic to blow out my garage, front porch or deck when the gas backpack blower was not needed. It was not a good solution for wet leaves or anything that needed some serious PSI to move, however. Enter this newer Jet Fan version. I love that is MUCH more powerful. It still cannot replace my backpack blower but if the old model was good for 25% of the time this new model is surely going to be at least 1/2 the time. I like the variable speed trigger (I've been known to blow out our hardwood floors in the summer time and before it was just on off - now I can finesse to door!) The only negative to it I can relay is the noise is pretty loud compared to old. I just need to be mindful of not using too early in AM. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
