I've used this model 3x a week for the last 5 years to clear off minor tennis court debris. Until the fan aged off the motor shaft ( unreplacable part). Having another corded blower I didn't need the hybrid
model, but 5 other Ryobi tools made this a perfect addition light tool for the garage and the court.

This works great for light duty use. It is fairly small and very light in weight. I purchased it for blowing off my porch, patio and decks. it is so much easier than using my heavy duty corded or my gas blower. this would not be well suited for yard use like leaves or heavy clippings.

This blower was exactly what I needed. I was using a very old electric (corded) blower, and was ready for an upgrade. If you need a powerful blower to gather all the leaves in your yard, this is not it. It is really meant for light-duty, quick jobs, like clearing sidewalks, patios, porches, etc. I just used this for the first time this weekend to clear my front yard/walkway after raking out my grass. It worked like a charm. Got about 20-25 minutes from one (slim) battery, which should be plenty for regular maintenance. If you need to use a blower for an extended amount of time, I would recommend an electric/gas model, OR buy some extra batteries and chargers or beefier batteries. The unit is so lightweight and easy to use, even my five-year-old daughter could use it (and LOVED it). I also got a Ryobi 18-volt weed-wacker that works well. I'm starting to build my Ryobi batter-powered tool collection and have had a lot of luck with them.

This is my second one of these. I used the first one for years. It always blows hard and doesn't drain the heavy duty battery too fast. I like the easy on/off location of the switch. Well balanced. It is noisy, but they all are. I also like the 18 volt fit everything theme Ryobi has stuck with for years.

I loved this product until I didn't. Lightweight, powerful, cheap plastic parts, eats batteries. I owned my first unit for a little over a year before plastic inside the motor housing disintegrated, rendering the unit inoperable. I loved it so much I ran out and bought another. I've owned the second unit for about 2 years, but it generates so much heat around the battery terminals that it melted the plastic housing. At first I thought this was because I used the extra large capacity 18V batteries, which lasted long enough to finish my yard on a single charge, so I switched to the smaller capacity 18V batteries, which only last 5-10 minutes per charge. Same thing happened. I won't be purchasing a third unit, and I recommend NOT buying this 18V version blower, despite its good features.
