Handy litle saw
I have two levels of laminate floors to install in my home and got this to facilitate installation. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, it's an ongoing project that probably won't get done until sometime this winter. I'm really looking forward to it and picked this particular saw because of the great reviews I've seen, so I expect it to perform very well.

Versatile for flooring / other projects
Not just for flooring, almost like a mini table saw. Cordless, portable, lightweight and adjustable – just add your own Ryobi ONE+ 18V battery and you’re good to go. Has a flooring specific 5 1/2" multi-tooth blade, but can be replaced for a multi-purpose one. Accepts different blades with 10mm or 5/8” arbor using the provided spacers. Has a small dust bag (1 1/4” port), but can also be hooked up to a shop vac which would collect more dust. There is accessory storage underneath the base for the push handle and small Allen wrenches for the blade replacement. The base has a built-in handle for easy carry. Great mini saw for flooring or other small projects.

Great addition to the toolbox!
We purchased this after replacing flooring in one room of our house and struggling with our old saw. This saw is made specifically for flooring and we can't wait to use it when our flooring arrives. It's able to do cuts across the laminate planks, the length of the planks and even mitre angles! We love the 18-volt rechargable tools since we don't have to fight with cords and outlets. The attached bag will help reduce the mess too!

This tool works!
I have been a builder and remodeler for coming up on 52 years, and of course as such have often installed flooring of many types. I have a corded flooring saw that has worked well. But that generally requires it to be inside, which can mean dust and debris is accumulating in the customers home. But with this cordless RYOBI ONE+ 18-Volt 5-1/2 in. Flooring Saw with Blade, I can set up anywhere, and so keep the mess, and the noise out of their living space, a feature that all On my way! owners appreciate. I already had batteries and chargers, so with this tool only, I am all set to go. Good tool!

Good saw to have when working on flooring
The RYOBI ONE+ 18-Volt 5-1/2 in. Flooring Saw with Blade is a good tool to have. Although this is the tool only, any of the ONE+ 18 volt batteries will work with it. The larger the battery, the longer the saw will operate. The unit is not real heavy and is able to be handled accordingly. The 5 1/2" blade will cut LVT, Laminate, and Hardwood flooring. It will make crosscuts up to 15" wide, and rips up to 8' long. Ryobi is rating this saw for up to 330 cuts per battery charge. The saw does come with a push tool to help protect fingers, and a bag to collect material shavings. The blade is a thin kerf meant specifically for flooring. Overall it is a good, portable flooring saw, easy to operate, easy to transport, and easy to store. I really like the saw. I rate it 5*s out of 5. Thank you Ryobi for giving me the opportunity to try your product. Thank you Home Depot Seeds for offering this item to me.

Not Just For Floors
This saw can be used to do 90 degree base board cuts and any type of wood that is as thick as a 1/2 inch. The tool has all the accessories store under the platform and are easy to remove and install. This is a tool ONLY so you will need to use or buy your own batteries. The saw blade is easy to change with the onboard tools and it comes with a off set spacer for the blade. The saw can be locked in the mid position for transportation.

RYOBI ONE+ 18-Volt 5-1/2 in. Flooring Saw with Blade
The RYOBI ONE+ 18-Volt 5-1/2 in. Flooring Saw with Blade (Tool Only) has an Integrated carry handle and is lightweight, weighing in at only 15lbs. It does a very nice job of cutting flooring. The guides for cutting are not quite perfectly aligned, but if you double check with your square or miter, it does come pretty darn close to perfect, so unless you are an absolute perfectionist, you will be good to go, or just micro adjust to perfect. The vacuum attachment comes in handy especially if you are working indoors to reduce the amount of shavings. Most of the attachments are stored on the bottom of the saw table, the few that don't store we put into an old coffee can. The only downside that I see are the screws to open up the blade guard, you got to get the screwdriver out to open up to change the blade. They could have used thumbscrews to do that job, other than that it is a handy little flooring saw. Good job guys, keep up the good work.

Handy Little Saw!
The RYOBI ONE 18-Volt 5-1/2 in. Flooring Saw with Blade is a great little tool for not only flooring, but other small projects as well. This kit is tool only, so you will need to have an 18 volt battery pack to operate it. Assembly is minimal, and it does a great job cutting my luxury vinyl flooring. This saw comes with a miter fence, a rip fence, and a push stick, all of which store nicely underneath. The Blade wrench stores under there too. I comes with a dust bag, although vinyl chips went everywhere. For bigger projects, connect a vacuum or dust collection system to the 1-1/4 inch port, hopefully this will collect the chips better. To set this up for rip cuts, the saw motor locks in place along the slide, the fence is changed, and you slide the flooring through the saw. The trigger lockout is tricky, it took me a while to figure it out. It is the small gray button above the trigger, normally hidden from view. Once I figured this out, operation was a breeze. A great portable saw!

gets the job done
This is a great saw for crosscuts, miters and ripping hardwood flooring as well as sheet goods up to 3/4" thick – this thickness is limited by a molded plastic “fender” below the slide rail bottom rubber roller. The maximum width of a cross cut for a 3/4" stock using the fence is little more than 15”. Ryobi provides a very detailed and well illustrated Operator’s Manual. Other reviews discuss the operation and functions of the saw. There are some other details that should not be overlooked: Ryobi has provided inner blade washers for both10mm (Ryobi) arbor and 5/8” (Makita) arbor blades. Using the provided ripping fence, you can rip widths just a hair over 4-3/16” (see photo). You can sit the saw down on its side when moving it around - the right side of the motor is flat and acts as a base (see photo). The 3 screws holding the blade guard will not come out and get lost – they have a “captured” thread (see photo). The 2 hex wrenches are different sizes and have a phillips head screwdriver tip on the long leg. The lock lever used when ripping or transporting is located between the motor and the slide rail. Although designed to store some of the accessories under the cast aluminum saw table, but not all – like the work clamp and the optional inner blade washer – I just found it easier just to throw it all into a tool bag, since the actual storage of the accessories is a bit fiddly when you’re in a hurry (also the hex wrenches unless jammed into one end can slip out).

Great for beginners
This RYOBI ONE+ 18-Volt 5-1/2 in. Flooring Saw with Blade is a great addition to the set. Does not come with battery. I have the drill set and I already have two batteries so that was not an issue. This tool is great for beginners. It’s not very big and doesn’t take up a lot of space so easy to store. Less than 18 inches wide and 24 inches long and no more than a foot high. Comes with a very small bag to catch debris. A couple of measuring tools are on the table for reference. And a well-placed handle to carry this tool. Please read the instructions before using for safety reasons. Again I don’t work in carpentry but this is great for small projects around the home.
