Thank you for asking, White. Please check with the retail distributor Home Depot, possibly a local stores customer service desk. Home Depot handles all of the aspects of the retail distribution for the line of Ryobi products, which includes pricing, and on-line and in-store level item availability within their distribution system. They are to address all Ryobi product availability and distribution related inquiries. If they are not able to locate and provide a specific Ryobi product for you from within their distribution system, it is not available. I hope this helps and we appreciate your interest in Ryobi! -Keri

it's like any other sprayer-just battery operated - sprayer is either sucking in air or solution is too thick to properly get through the wand to hose connection. and it's clogging up

Can this sprayer be used with wood stains for a fence?
Asked by: Nelly
Hello: This sprayer is not designed for paint and stains. For that, you need to use a high velocity paint sprayer. This product is used for exactly what it is intended. That is to spray insecticides for vegetation or pests.

The first one lasted about a month before the wand started to leak through pinholes in the metal wand. And the pressure began to decrease. All I was using was the weed killer from HD, nothing acid or corrosive. Returned it and got another one. This one lasted about four to five weeks before the pump pressure decreased. Now I have to prime it by bringing it in my house, hook a funnel up to the pickup tube and run the pump. This takes time. Also the spray pattern is terrible as it keeps changing. When you press the trigger, it comes out with pressure and a good pattern but after a few seconds, it changes as the pump pressure is insufficient to maintain a decent spray. This Ryobi sprayer is not what I expected from Ryobi since I have Ryobi tools and they work fine. Just a big disappointment. Also the switch is in a bad place, hard to turn on and off unless you use your other hand. Will take this back and buy another brand.

I've used this a total of 4 times. 1st the plastic measuring cup literally split into two identical pieces. Weird, but Ryobi did replace the cup. 2nd the noozle-tip began to malfunction. I cleaned it per the instruction manual. I even cleaned the hose itself with fresh water. The tip would only "leak" fluids, not spray. Contacted customer support on July 2019 and explained I was within the 3 year warranty period, but was told the noozle needs to be replaced at my own expense and is not covered under the warranty. If this is not a manufacturer defect I'll eat your hat! There are no moving parts in the noozle!!! Buyer beware. Ryobi says it has a 3 year warranty, but when you call them they'll tell you your problem isn't covered - I wish I knew about this racket before I purchased 7-8 of their other products...shame on me. I'll never buy another. When they break I'll buy their competitor.

THE EXTRA MILE Following my critical review of this product, and after the warranty had expired, Ryobi contacted me offering to provide a new sprayer, which I gladly accepted. Ryobi explained that pumps had been improved and that I could expect better performance. That proved to be the case. The problem with the old one was that spray volume was reduced after only a second or two of activation requiring spray-stop & wait-spray-stop as pressure built up. Now, after several months use, the new one has shown to be much improved with more consistent spray velocity. It is not designed to replace your handpump sprayer for large jobs, but adequately handles indoor or spot outdoor needs with only minimum loss of pressure near the last third of fluid in the tank. Battery life far exceeds tank capacity, the wand is sturdy, and the tank cap doubles as a handy measuring vessel. Kudos to Ryobi for going the extra mile and their proactive customer contact to resolve the issue.

I have reviewed the sprayer before - but wanted to post this so that others might be able to use my solution. The only problem I have encountered with the sprayer is that the handle of the spray wand cracked out on both sides. It's a very fine crack - but enough to let what ever is being sprayed blow through. That's all good and fine if it is some soap solution - but not so good when the solution is real chemicals that shouldn't be sprayed on the skin. In any case - I contacted Ryobi for a replacement part and was told the part was out of stock and would not be available until October 2019. Say What??? I got work to do and i didn't buy this thing for it to sit on the shelf waiting for parts. I mean - literally - those parts must be on a slow boat from China. Went to my local Home Depot and worked with an associate in Lawn & Garden. I had brought the old handle with - so it was pretty easy to match up....sorta. The spray tube adapters wouldn't work with the Ryobi handle,. so i had to settle for the plastic spray tube from the Flo-Master Universal Replacement Parts. My Thanks to Home Depot for providing a working solution - and also thanks to the local guy who helped me put it all back together again. Home Depot: home run! Ryobi: STRIKE 2!

The first lasted 2 years and then stopped spraying. After fooling around with it for several hours, I just bought another one because my wife has found it so useful in her gardening. While she began using the new sprayer, I returned to the broken one and found that the filler cap gasket had fallen into the tank and had swollen so that it no longer fit in the cap. Neither HD nor Ryobi had that part, but I was able to order a new cap it from an online supplier for about $10. When it arrived a couple of days later, I discovered that even though the tank would now pressurize, the trigger wouldn't let any fluid pass. Once again, neither HD nor Ryobi had the part, but I found the entire wand assembly online for about $30. Since I don't need 2 sprayers, I gave the broken one to my daughter, who had been working in the garden with my wife and really liked the new one. So she ordered the part online and will be using the repaired sprayer when she gets home to Indy. To sum up, we like the sprayer but are not thrilled that HD and Ryobi don't have replacement parts because this unit will break.

Hello fellow sprayers, I am in my 50's and still able to carry and pump a conventional sprayer, but who really wants to. I thought when I bought this, one gallon?? I really am going to hate this, but I will try it. I don't miss lugging several gallons of liquid around and getting a sore back or having it rub against my leg. I surely don't miss the pumping constantly. My yard is .3 acres. Do I have to fill it three times? Yes.... but it is NOT like refilling a large sprayer. The measuring cup unscrews, and that is the access to the tank. Stick a hose in, fill it to a gallon, pour in your chemical in the measuring cup and dump it in, and turn the measuring cup upside down and gently screw it to the sprayer. On a conventional sprayer, you brace the sprayer with your feet as you attempt to unscrew the top of the tank, not this one. Refilling is a 30 second easy job. Do yourself a favor, make life easier and buy this. Once full, just press the on button and begin spraying. The wand is stainless and brass, not cheap plastic. I could have never imagined spending $80 on a sprayer, but I am very glad I did.

Purchased this sprayer at the beginning of last year's season and used it about 6-7 times without a problem. Sprayer nozzle does not control spray as finely as others but worked well for weed sprays. I took it out this season and the the trigger handle leaked, even though stored cleaned and in heated basement. A crack appeared in the trigger and appears to be a manufacturing defect. 3 year LIMITED warranty doesn't cover much, basically the motor. Called Ryobi - sent on to third party parts company - their supply of triggers for this unit were quarantined by Ryobi and had to be sent back (hints at manufacturing defect). They will not get replacement parts for another 4-6 weeks (end of September). I will still need to pay for a replacement. It is not worth paying for one seasons use, then paying 20-25% of the cost to replace the defective trigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why have I been pumping!!! We have the most trees and shrubs in the neighborhood and all the pests seem to enjoy a free meal and some selter. Im an 18v ryobi fan so I picked this guy up for a try. I was able to treat my trees in record time. In fact i had been avoiding treating our junipers because they are so bushy they take all my strength to pump through those 5 trees alone. Today we said bye bye worms, afids, ants, gnats and whatever the heck else is living in there, and I’ll be there to kill your relatives when they hatch. I will say i did not use the 1.3amp battery that came with the set, I have several 2amp ones on the charger waiting so I grabbed one of those and it lasted the whole yard. As far as spraying 1 gal of fluid, the wand has very large adjustments and you can pump out 1 gal pretty fast. If you have allot to do you may consider the 2 gal tank.
