Yes, the blower on this set is powerful (and light) enough to use on the roof or a ladder to blow debris out of your gutters.

What is the difference between the items included in the combo pack Model# P2035 and the combo packModel # P2080-4x. They "look" the same. Thanks
Asked by: Chris
Not sure what you mean by difference? One is an edger and the other is a leaf blower and they both are operated by the same battery & charger. Hope that helps......

How do you change the LINE on the trimmer

How do you change the LINE on the trimmer
Asked by: R6969
The line is an easy change. On either side of the string head there ar 2 push tabs. Pushing both tabs at same time will release cover. Remove empty spool and drop in new spool while guiding string thru feed hole. Snap cover in place and you are ready.

Great products, easy assembly even for a non-handyman type of person like myself. My only issue is why this isn't a five-star rating. Ryobi. Your account registration process is a nightmare. I am sitting on an over 25 minute hold right now waiting for someone to pick up my call. I've been waiting for someone from your outdoor equipment customer service department because your website registration, after more than 6 attempts, will not let me register my product. I've had to resign up those six times before it went through. Now, it's not taking the product information. This makes me wonder how well Ryobi will stand behind its warranty. If you can't reach someone, what good is that??

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I gave this 2 stars because the Blower is still working. The Trimmer dropped dead midway through ... I gave this 2 stars because the Blower is still working. The Trimmer dropped dead midway through the 2nd battery on it's very 1st use!!!! 6/6/19 I bought the package last week and it arrived on Wed 6/5/19. Thursday I took it out of the box, charged up the battery in preparation to see how they worked. Tried the blower 1st since it is the easiest to put together. It works fine for small jobs like clearing dirt/dust/leaves off a deck, which is why I bought it. Not sure it has the power to clear a yard full of large leaves... but should work fine for small area's. Next up was the Trimmer, which is why I purchased this in the 1st place. I already have a lot of Ryobi One+ tools, so I figured this would be a good fit, My gas trimmer is getting harder and harder to start, so I was looking for something to get the job done with little effort. Putting it together did not take very long, and soon I was out in the yard seeing what it would do. 1st off the auto feed is a bad idea... period. It feeds out new line every single time you take your finger off the trigger, which in a large yard with some distance between trimming area's is going to be a lot. Not only will this lead to wasting a lot of string, but I doubt the cutting blade will last very long, having to cut the line so often for no reason. 2nd, Because of the above issue the only way not to waste line is to either buy the plastic cutting blades (which I did, but never got to use them) or keep it running the entire time. Which is pretty much the route I took. Unfortunately my unit did not last very long. At 1st I was very happy and even considering buying another for my 81yr old Dad for fathers day... Primarily because it does seem to trim very well. My only complaint "on use" is that the leading edge of the guard extends too far forward, forcing you to always trim to your left or the guard gets in the way. Not a big deal as you learn to adjust to it, and it only becomes a real issue on tight inside corners. That said the units durability is questionable.... The 1st full battery went just fine, buzzing around the yard getting things done as expected. When it finally stopped (without warning... as expected) I popped on battery #2 and was back on my way. This is where everything went south. Half way through the 2nd battery (2 LED's still lit)... it died !! At 1st I thought maybe it has some sort of overheat protection built in, and it didn't like being run 2 batteries in a row. However that is not the case... it is DEAD. It didn't even last through 2 full battery charges of use. Now when you pull the trigger nothing happens... if you give it a little shake, it spins briefly making all kinds of noise, and then shuts off. I originally thought this was the kind of tool that runs a lot during use, so I purchased the extended warranty... for which the paperwork apparently ships separately, and will not even arrive for another week. In any case... now I have to figure out how to return something that was shipped to my home (since it was not in stock anywhere within 100miles last week) and decide whether or not to ask for a replacement, or just give up on it. With having a 2ac yard with many tree bases and garden boxes to trim around.... maybe this tool just isn't built for the task. The only other Ryobi tool I've had fail (twice) was the hand held air pump, which apparently can only pump up bike tires... as pumping up 4 tires 5/lbs to maintain winter pressure is too much for it... I'm thinking this trimmer is similar, in that it's not built tough enough for larger yards. Unless you have a small area to do, buyer beware, as it is a light duty only tool. Now its back to the task of figuring out what to do with this DEAD trimmer. Hopefully I can return something delivered to my house, back to the local store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value I just bought this combo kit with the blower and string trimmer to replace my worn out string trimmer. My prior trimmer was the same 18V unit and I used it to trim around my house as well as around my rental units for the past 5 years. I never had an issue with it until it finally took its last gasp. It served me well so when it finally expired I opted to replace it with the same unit. I have a multitude of Ryobi 18V tools so I have plenty of batteries and chargers for use on any project I opt to take on. Truly, it’s a great system and having the additional batteries at hand completely alleviates the need for extension cords. My first Ryobi tool was the drill and it is still working great 14 years after I purchased it to rebuild my house after Hurricane Katrina. My collection of Ryobi tools now numbers nine and it’s the name brand I always look for when purchasing a new power tool. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beware! This picture makes it look like this package comes with the advanced, dual chemistry char... Beware! This picture makes it look like this package comes with the advanced, dual chemistry charger in the pic - It does not come with it in the box - Seems like a bit of false advertisement here, Mr. Ryobi... The charger you get is the P118B which is a simple charger. With that being said... I bought this deal last week at the start of Ryobi Days. Overall, it is a great value as long as you use it as intended. Lets face it, this set is not meant for commercial grade usage. I actually went to the store to look at a blower to clear out the garage, clean up after mowing, and maybe...clean up after some hedge trimming (without having so much power it moved mulch). My original intent was to get something cheap and small enough for my wife to use. When I got to the store, the little "Tim the 'Tool Man' Tailor" on my shoulder immediately pointed me to the biggest tools on the shelf. This caused me to inadvertently tilt my head back and start the "Roh Oh Oh oh oh!" as I grabbed the biggest blower on the shelf. To my surprise, the 40V was heavy. The Ryobi Rep must have heard me and came over to assist. This immediately caused me to wonder if I should be defensive and respond in a much deeper tone to let him know "Ugh! Tool not heavy - Me use all tool!" However, I accepted his presence and noticed one of the bundles with a blower and a trimmer in the $119 range. He did what any good salesman should do and upsold me...We walked over and he showed me this bundle for $149 and I hit the "why not" button. I have been quite impressed. We have a small yard that is around 0.20 acres with a fenced in backyard and my wife is not a fan of the gas trimmer. I figured why not kill two birds with one stone and return home the knight in shining armor that ventured out and returned with tools that would allow her to conquer the yard when she so desired. Like a kid with a new toy (as every man should be when he returns from Home Depot), I tore into the box with excitement. As i put things together, I don't know that I was blown away by quality since it is a lot of plastic which concerns me with yard tools. Though, this test can only be accomplished with sufficient time and use. The simplicity is where you get your moneys worth. It is about a five minute set up - tops. This blower snaps together in seconds and the trimmer takes about two minutes to click together. I couldn't tell you if there were instructions as my dad taught me...and every great man before him...that men don't use instructions (unless they buy from Ikea). Blower power is reasonable and the compact size and weight make this an amazing little package. We finished the yard on a single battery charge. Being able to edge the driveway and then clean the it all the way to the road without fighting with cords was amazing. Definitely a "Worth every bit of $149" moment! The trimmer string is super short and takes some getting used to, but sooooo simple to change out. If you buy the replacement spools it takes maybe 30 seconds and if you opt to rewind it only takes a few mins and then snaps right back in. I have been impressed by the whole package and I am absolutely be buying more One+ stuff! Now, I feel like I can customize things...and in this great green color. Super happy. Highly recommend. Would buy again! Cheers!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same charger as shown in image... would be 5 star Great buy, great deal i got the combo on sale, unfortunaly after i returned the blower to exchange for this combo blower/trimmer i was confused as to why its advertised with the more advanced charging station and inside my box i picked up in store only came with the P118B not the same one that you see on the image. The blower itself was also asembled with poor quality control the first one was pretty solid, the one in this box has the back vent that protects the fan was put together in a rush as the seams that should be flush are misaligned i will have to to see if i can remove it and put it back flush.

Too many bad reviews and I've had problems before (no matter what the brand) Bought an attachment to replace the line with blades. Worked great. Didn't have a problem with the battery. It was fully charged and I did all the around the house and a few extra places.

A bit pricey, but I like the extra run-time and power from these 4.0 amp hour batteries. The leaf blower is a bit cumbersome, but gets the job done and much more powerful than the old Black&Decker equipment I am phasing out to go with all Ryobi ONE+ equipment. Would be nice if it had a narrower focus discharge to better control the aim and amount of dust it kicks up. I do like the interchangeability with my other Ryobi power tools, especially the reciprocating saw I use for tree trimming. I will always have extra batteries and charger available between them all. The length of the handle for the string trimmer seems a bit long, but it does help keep my feet and legs from getting hit with debris when trimming. I would prefer a smaller diameter string, so it could be interchangeable with another string trimmer I use at a rental property. I may try rewinding the spool with the smaller diameter. This thicker .08 string is good for some serious bush-whacking and thick weeds, but my yard is not yet that overgrown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for the price I bought this combo kit in the fall of 2018. I used the blower consistently before the mowing season ended. The power is great and the product is lightweight. I was able to use the weed eater at the start of the mowing season and I was extremely impressed. The power was excellent and I enjoy having a high and low speed feature. Press the foot pedal and the weed eater becomes an edger. The 4AH battery typically lasts around 30 minutes. However, I had a 6AH that i got with my chainsaw and the usage time is nearly an hour. Obviously the battery time depends on the job you are doing and if the speed is on low or high, but either way, I feel I got a superior product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
