Yes, mine came with a clippings collection bag.
yes it comes with the grass bag, pay only once. I bought it almost 2 years ago, about $300. This type uses batteries, when the battery runs out, it can be charged, it is also light but the sound is not noisy.
The grass collection bag is included.

The unit I purchased did come with a leaf/grass catching bag.
Comes with bag and the cost was 199.00
no. and trust me, you're gonna need ALL the batteries possible! i've poured more money into batteries than i care to count because of this mower.
You have to make sure they’re the bigger batteries. I have some of the smaller ones that came with drills and impact wrench, and they only last about 5-10 minutes.
They often have version available that do not include batteries/charger. Look for "tool Only" in the description. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-HP-18V-Brushless-16-in-Cordless-Battery-Walk-Behind-Push-Lawn-Mower-Tool-Only-P1109BTLVNM/315114456?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-NA-_-315114456-_-N&

A lot of adds do not include batteries. All I can say is mine is worth the money.
Because the more expensive one has the ability to plug in to an extension cord. The least expensive one does not.
There are 3 18V mowers at 4 prices: $329 - Motor does not say it's brushless, 40 pounds. 2 batteries. $279 - Brushless motor. 34.5 pounds. 2 batteries. $229 - Same as above but only comes with 1 battery instead of 2. $189 - Mower only, no batteries.

It depends upon the battery. I have seen some that do, some that don't. The ones that are essentially the same size as the 5ah batteries it came with do work, and I have one (Model #OP4060A purchased in local store) that I use with it. I don't think the jumbo sized 6ah or bigger batteries would work.

I don't think so. One of the batteries overlaps on top of the other, and there's a tiny space between them, so the dimensions of a 6Ah battery wouldn't allow to use them. You may use the 6Ah as the battery on the top, but same type is recommended.
It will only accept one 6ah battery and one 4ah battery, put the 4ah battery in first then the 6ah battery second the cover won't close all the way but that's not a problem.
Only 1 6ah battery will fit with another 4ah battery, as the batteries are too tall for 2 6ah to fit in the battery holding chamber.
18 volt 6.0 Ah batteries. yes
Based on my use of the P1102 hybrid 16" mower, the previous answer is incorrect, in the both batteries ARE used at the same time. 20 minutes of mowing takes both installed 4AH batteries from full charge down to 3 bars. The same time with a single battery installed bring it down to 2 bars. The added battery extends the run time, but also discharges the batteries more slowly, so they don't get as hot, which should extend their working life. In using a hybrid on a larger lawn, I use the batteries on the fringes that can't be reached with a 100' cord. Since it only draws 7 amps on the cord, a 2 prong 16 gauge work perfectly with being heavy to drag.
Ryobi does not give out much information on the motors, but I would suspect that both the single battery and double battery versions have the same 18v motor. The dual battery motors connect the batteries in parallel which can give you a longer run time, but they still are only 18v motors. You should get the same quality cut on either the single or dual battery 16 inch mowers as there should be no difference in the power of the motor.
This has been my problem right along. The battery I have DOES NOT GIVE POWER To keep a charge longer than 15 minutes. I’ve been asking for a replacement battery, With no results.
ElectrifyAllTheThings, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI ONE+ 18V 16 in. Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower - (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries & Charger. Neither of these mowers will use both batteries at the same time. These will only run on one battery at a time. The runtime is indicated by the battery size and not the mower itself. A larger battery will run longer than a smaller one. Yes. Google "ryobi walk behind mower replacement bag" and you will find several sellers with the bags.
I’d call customer service if I were you. They are always helpful with those things.
Yes it will cut forward and backwards.
Yes, just like a regular lawnmower.
It certainly does. And it is a great mower! The perfect mower for trimming or mowing small lawns.
Yes, the blade will continue to spin as long as the handle levers remain pulled, and the spinning blade will continue to cut grass when pulled in reverse. The flap on the rear though may impede the cutting effectiveness if it rolls under the mower though, so you will want to be aware of that. I don't think you'll find a modern mower that doesn't include this safety feature though.
Yes, it will cut while being pulled backwards as long as you hold down the safety bar keeping the blades engaged. I do this every time I cut. Just be careful!
Laura, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI 16 in. ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower Two 4.0Ah Batteries/Charger Included. Yes it cuts well while being pulled backwards
Yes
I have pulled mine backwards and it works as long as grass isn't too tall. Ryobi has a small weed trimmer that uses same battery works great! Good luck and be safe!
Yes. As long as you have the lever pulled, it is cutting.
I don't have the same grass but, I think the lawn mower can handle floratam st. A grass. The mower has great motor power and the blade can handle it, mower has 5 settings of heights.
Hi Steve, Thanks for your question on the RYOBI 16 in. ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Battery Walk Behind Push Lawn Mower Two 4.0Ah Batteries/Charger Included P1111. This mower does not exclude any type of grass and is only limited to not cutting tall overgrown weeds or overgrowth. As with any variety of grass you may have to make a 2nd pass to get the desired cut for St. Augustine grass. I hope this helps and thanks for reaching out to us! - Eve If you feel you need further assistance with this question, please contact RYOBI Customer Support at 1-800-860-4050 and follow the prompts to reach a Lawn and Garden Technical Support Representative. - Eve
I don't notice much difference between this Ryobi 18v mower and my gas mower when it comes to cutting long, thick grass. Both mowers will bog down and stall if you go too fast or try to cut too low if the lawn is overgrown. For long, thick grass, I usually first mow at a high setting, then lower the deck for a final cut. Yes, that's twice the work but if you let your lawn get overgrown, you will have to pay for it. I don't specifically have St. Augustine grass, but I do use my Ryobi 18v mower in some patches of long, thick grass down by a creek that passes through my property. If you have a small to medium lawn, this 16 inch 18v mower may be a good option for you. I would recommend trying it out and if you are not happy with the results, take advantage of HD's hassle-free return policy. Ryobi also makes 40v mowers which are more powerful, but I find my 18v mower is all I need for my lawn care.
Sorry, I just have regular grass, Mower works well even if the grass is thick. Very happy with my purchase.
This is a very small light weight mower. I use it for trimming around landscaping and for cut a ditch that is too steep for a riding lawnmower. It is perfect for that. Do not expect it to cut high thick grass, or a full yard unless it is very tiny. If you yard is bigger than 200 sq ft I would recommend getting the 40 volt version.
