Q:Does it have a fan for cooling unit ??

      Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Sunshinecraig - Thank you for your question. Yes! When needed, an internal cooling fan will run to regulate the unit’s operating temperature. If running, always wait for the fan to stop before you disconnect the battery pack from the inverter. I hope this helps! Additionally, if you need further support, then a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional is here for you, Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (EST) when you call or text us at 1.800.525.2579 or through email or live chat when you visit us at https://www.ryobitools.com/support/contact. Awesome! Back up power for everything I need.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this 800w inverter and I've been playing around with it to see what it will power and for how long. I'm really happy with it. The AC power can run an oscillating fan if need be. The passthrough DC USB ports can keep my phone and tablet topped up in an emergency. And if I need more wattage I can hook it up to my car battery or a deep cycle for more run time and extra wattage! I'm really happy with it. 2 things I would like to see on future models would be for the inverter to work as a charger when not using the 18v battery and a pure sine wave instead of the modified sine wave. But I honestly can not complain about this inverter. I almost can't wait for my next power outage.

                  Very Versatile!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very happy with this inverter. I am preparing for brownouts in the grid or another ice storm. So I wanted a way to unlock all the power that I have stored in my 18 volt batteries along with the ability to set up a true inverter system with a bank of deep cycle batteries. This tool fit the bill! I have shown some family members who were impressed enough to buy one too. Thank you Ryobi!

                    Awesome Invention
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a power inverter but it takes a while to set up. This is a perfect idea for when the power goes off. All I need is for a fan to charge a phone something simple onto the power can come back up unless that power is going to be off for a couple days this is perfect. And it works exactly as describes. If you got these 18 volt batteries make full use of these options you won't feel sorry. I bought the USB only version and I purchase the USB and the plug version. Works perfect!

                        Excellent inverter
I purchased inverter for backup power source. This one is really great. I can use my current four Ryobi 18v batteries for appliances. Especially I need to 12 volts and 120v sources for the astrophotography gears in the field.

Finally a RYOBI 18V tools that has 12V socket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sue and I saw this new RYOBI 18V Inverter in the Home Depot Automotive aisle. I hadn't heard any announcements from Ryobi about it. I bought one to test out. It has three different power inputs: 12V car battery, 18V One+ battery, or 12V cigarette lighter plug. Depending on the power source, it can produce 800, 300, or 120Watts of modified sinewave AC. It has two 120VAC outlets, two USB-A 2.4A plugs, one USB-C 20W PD plug, and a 12V 10A cigarette socket. I'm so glad RYOBI finally has a 18V product that has a 12V socket output! I can finally run my CPAP, freezer, and heated blanket! Because it supports 12V battery input, you can hook it up with solar panels, MPPT solar charge controllers, and Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. On the down side, it's a modified Sinewave Inverter, I could only get it to output 750W, and the Watt gage was flaky when measuring DC loads. For improvements, I would like to see a 1000W inverter so I could run my trailers 700W microwave and 5000BTU air conditioner. I would like to see a separate on/off switches for the AC/DC. Built-in solar charging for the 18V One+ battery would be nice.
