Q:Any tricks to squeeze the last bits out of the caulk tube? It seems to stop before the tube is completely empty and I end up trying to squeeze it out with my hands.

Easy to caulk

Cordless Caulk gun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had this now for over a year ! At first it was a little rough to get use to setting the flow. But oncw you have it down it is a breeze! I do bathroom and kitchen remodels and tile work . I have this now set so as I just caulk and done ! No mess , no wipping excess caulk off ! Seemless application !

Major hand cramp saver
If you apply a lot of caulking or construction adhesive this tool will definitely be a hand saver for you.
This Ryobi cordless power caulk gun is much larger than your standard metal caulk gun (see photo). Just an FYI if you wanted to carry it around in a bag.
I like how it has a 6 speed adjustment dial, and a built-in pin to pierce open the caulk tubes (see photos).
A major advantage of this power caulk gun over standard ones is that it applies a consistent even pressure, so it prevents the big globs you get squeezing other ones by hand.
The other major advantage is that it saves fatigue on your hand from squeezing traditional caulk guns over and over again.
I found that this electric caulk gun squeezed out material faster than I was used to, even at speed 1, so my beads were larger than I wanted. However this may just be a learning curve on my part to move the gun along faster, and perhaps to cut the nozzle a tiny bit narrower.
Another fyi is that this caulk gun does not squeeze caulk out immediately when the handle is squeezed, it takes a second or two to build pressure. This delay actually prevents the caulk tube from dripping when not in use, so it’s actually a good thing.
Overall I like this electronic caulk gun, I just need to figure out how to apply thin beads better.

RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless 10 oz. Caulk & Adhesive Gun
I do a lot of renovations and repairs that require caulking and adhesives. This caulk gun saves a lot of wear and tear on the hands, arms and muscles. It loads very similar to a manual caulk gun. It has a speed adjustment dial to regulate the amount of caulk coming out. It also has a piercing rod to puncture the caulk tube seal. It uses the same 18-volt battery as my other Ryobi cordless power tools.

So much easier for big jobs!
I have done a lot of DIY caulking on tubs, showers, and sinks. I have used smooth and stepped caulk guns and feel I do a good job on those smaller quick jobs. I had always thought that a powered caulking gun wasn't really needed, but if you have a large job to do or want to make those smaller jobs even easier on your hands this is great!
The caulking gun does have a little bit of weight and will take some getting used to so I would suggest practicing on something less important. The trigger has a lock tab under it to shut it off and on and then after that has a slight delay before it starts putting out the caulk which was the first thing I had to get used to. Secondly, you need to get your feed rate dialed in. On the top of the gun is a dial from 1 to 6 to set the rate and get the correct amount of caulk or adhesive. I found for doing a large portion of trim work (caulking the top seam of white trim) that a lower number worked best and then I was able to get up to a 2.5 or 3 as I got better. I would think the 5 and 6 level would be good for large concrete cracks or for construction adhesive while framing. After laying a bead and releasing the trigger the gun does back up a fraction to prevent continued caulking due to built up pressure. This worked fairly well, but as with any caulking job have a good place to set it down and a rag handy for the small amount that will leak out.
I have no experience with other powered caulk guns, but this Ryobi version is awesome. As part of the 18V ONE+ line it is a great value and I highly recommend it!

Caulking gun
RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless 10 oz. Caulk & Adhesive Gun (Tool Only). This ryobi caulking gun is nice. I really like this caulking gun, as a painter i have used lots of manual ones, the electric one is a game changer for me. I had an earlier version of this caulking g gun and was very unhappy with it, and returned it. This one has a dial for speed of flow, and what I really like is when it comes up to a pressure it stalls, the last one I had would push a d not stall, which caused it to burst the caulking tube. This version is really nice I would definitely recommend this one.

So much easier to use.
Just to be crystal clear, my tool did not include a battery. Not an issue if you’re adopting these Ryobi One+ tools as your cordless system. The enclosed literature shows over 225 different power tools that use the Ryobi One+ 18-volt batteries. I wouldn’t want a battery with each tool. This caulk gun is well thought out. The feed adjustment is simple to use and offers a good variety of speeds. There is a trigger lock on the grip to prevent something from inadvertently pressing the trigger and dispensing product. The tool balances well with a typical 10-ounce silicone tube. I will say that this is a larger tool that may not be the easiest to maneuver in confined spaces. Also, the tool and battery are around five pounds, though the overall balance makes the tool feel lighter than that. I am a DIYer so I can’t comment on heavy use, but the tool appears to be really well made and the instructions imply the charge will outlast the work you are doing. I hate to say it, but I did forget to puncture the inner seal on a tube of caulk. No excuse, there’s a handy needle built onto the tool. In any case, the tool has lots of torque and I ended up with silicone on the tool. The tool disassembled easily and and cleaned up nicely but I don’t recommend forgetting to puncture the inner seal. If you are going to use the Ryobi One+ System, this tool is incredibly economical and a real hand saver.

No More Hands Cramping Up!
Another great addition to the RYOBI ONE+ is the 18Volt Caulk and Adhesive gun. This is great for the DIY or Professional as with one battery you can dispense approximately 200 tubes of caulk with over 500 pounds of pushing force. I recently redid some windows in my house and had a lot of caulking to do. In the past after a long job like this, my hands would get tired and would cramp up. The RYOBI caulk gun worked perfect and since that job I have used it for all my caulking jobs. I just used the gun the other day for use with an adhesive which I used to installed some cedar wood in a room. I didn’t want to show nail marks so we used the caulk gun to apply the adhesive to the wood, and then the wood to the wall. Another great job which was painless to my hands and arms. This is a must for all to have in their bag ,and at a great price it is worth purchasing even if you just use it once in a while. The time it will save you on one job will make it all worthwhile.

Great for those long runs!
The caulk gun takes some getting used to, but after a couple of attempts you start to get a feel for the delay and the flow control. There are various speeds available to control the flow of caulk, but no variable trigger. The gun performed great at extracting all the contents from the caulk tube with only once there being an issue with a tube leaking out from the rear, this seems to be more of an issue with the tube rather than the gun. The caulk that did manage to come out of the rear of the tube cleaned up quite easily (didn’t stick well to the plastic). There is a trigger lock right under the trigger, which I kept forgetting was there as it is quite hidden. To release your tube, just pull back on the gray handle to manually reset, I will say it does take a bit of effort to pull back the plunger. There is also a built-in seal poker, but there is no cut off tool to open the ends of the caulk tube, so you will need to use a utility knife.
Overall great for large projects that require longer runs, but I personally prefer a manual gun for the smaller technical work that requires stop and go caulking. I finished some detail work in our sunroom over the weekend and ran almost 100 ft of caulking along the baseboards and window trims and it went quite smoothly. Only issue I have is the delay of 1-3 seconds before the bead starts after each trigger pull which makes it difficult to do some more of the technical work.

''Power'' Caulk and Adhesive Gun
Power Caulk and Adhesive Gun with over 500 lbs. (Rated) push force. Works with the ONE+ batter and claims it can apply more than 200 tubes of caulk per charged. read a number of reviews with some stating there was little control on the speed and even on "1" was far too fast to keep up. May or May Not Be, but I used two tubes of crack fill - mixes (two part) and is like water coming out. Had no problems with the speed control whatsoever - "1" was slow and we even had to speed it up. One thing that worked great was the tube holder screws off and the tube can be put into it and screwed back on the gun - easy loading. Only wished we had not waited so long to get one - time and un-needed work we could of save.
