Good machine, fragile tip, unaffordable repair
Bought this machine a couple of months ago. It works well, drives 2" nails, no problem and a single charge lasts a long time. However, it fell off a stool ... barely a foot off the ground and the tip broke off. Trying to find the replacement part and have been able to get through only to the US service center so far. It seems the only option is to replace the full magazine assembly. That will cost as much as a brand new machine. Why wouldn't Ryobi sell just the tip part (not talking about the pad), given how fragile it is? Buy only if you are 100% sure that you will never drop it! I now have a very expensive paperweight.

After a couple of months of debating wether I should get it or not, i in finally pulled the trigger and bought this brad nailer. A few months ago I started building different DIY projects for myself and to sell, and this nailer really helped me out a lot in putting things together. I want to find something wrong with it, but there’s really nothing I can think of. Good product.

        What took me so long.
All I can say is what took me so long to buy this awesome nail gun. This is what I made with it. https://artbyisabel.com/2021/01/03/building-a-desk/ Awesome to use, very easy and it has a reasonable weight. No regrets well, only that I should have purchased a while back :)

          Great Choice!!!
Just received my brad nailer, unpacked it and popped the sample nails and battery in and headed into the house (unpacked in the workshop) and took care of a few trim issues. I am very impressed and very thankful I made this purchase! #RYOBIROCKS

            Perfect
I bought this to install 144 feet of shoe moulding in my basement. Almost purchased the Milwaukee as that is the battery platform of the rest of my tools. Decided on this because multiple online reviews spoke so highly of it Switched between 1.25” and 2” brads several times and never had to make an adjustment for depth. Every brad was sunk to an acceptable depth and never had a misfire or jam. Worked perfect for my project and would expect it to fuction well for a long time.

The AirStrike is great Brad nailer for those at home projects. Very simple to use with depth and pressure settings. It help me complete my bedroom board and batten project. I couldn’t be happier with the nailer and the cost is very attractive. Well done Ryobi!

              Needs a Re-Design!!!
Right out of the box, tried to adjust the “Air Pressure Dial”. Was extremely tight, turned it slightly and heard a snap. Then the dial just free wheeled. And the nails stuck out of wood by 1/4 of an inch. Took off end dial cap and found the issue. The big dial has a VERY SMALL PLASTIC gear inside that turns the motor adjustment... This needs a complete Redesign BAD!!!!! Should be aluminum dial and gear with a stop inside, or a lever like their 16 gauge finish nailer version airstrike. Ill be returning this junk right away. Ill wait for a redesign before buying again!

Product was excellent, worked as designed. Recently redid our living room, repaint and fix the plaster ceilings. The fix for the ceiling was installing shiplap on it. Had a corded brad nailer (older one) that had a hard time working / countersinking the nails. Looked at the reviews for this nailer (and I like the Ryobi brand), went a bought one. After setting it for the desired results for my application, finished the project the next day. Shot about 600 1 3/4" brad nails (testing and project) 600th was just as good as the first nail. Easy to reload and switch brad nail sizes too. Battery charge lasted awhile with a 2Ah battery which worked great for me, bigger battery would have added to the tools weight and may caused fatigue working over my head. All in all a good product, good tool, now I have more projects to finish.

                Garbage
Constantly misfires. It's not jammed, there is no apparent problem. It just misfires approximately 75% of the time. This is what it does to your boards. 5 strikes to get one nail.

Good on the 1 1/2 inch. I had to set the tension all the way up to drive it in enough so that it would sit inside the wood. Just not quite enough power for the 2 inch. Used for standard crown molding, Baseboards and toe kicks

Has quickly become my SECRET weapon!
Sometimes, you just need something... and you don't quite know what that thing is until you hold it in your hand. THIS. This is that something. I can't imagine life before nor after it. No more unsightly screw heads. No more clamps. Glue-ups just became a breeze. Cabinet fabrication has never been easier. $99? Yes, please! Would HAPPILY pay twice that for the amount of value this tool has afforded me. If you're a skilled tradesman/woman, you really shouldn't be looking past this tool. I primarily use Makita, but their brads leave something to be desired. The Ryobi has never, not one single time, misfired or not driven a brad all the way in. Once it's set, you can sort of just forget it and ride! It's a blast to use, and sometimes as a way to release boredom, I'll just go light up a board with a hundred or so nails. I've never even gotten the battery indicator on a 3aH battery to drop a single bar, and I've used this thing for hours! Ryobi is, hands down, the best tool value out there. When you just need a one-off and are already invested in another platform, give Ryobi your money. This brad nailer and the router are two of my favorite tools of all time. Add it to your bag... don't think about it for a second. Your value as a craftsman will exponetially increase with this tool.

                    So easy to use.
I just got this nailer and love it. I'm a 70 year-old grandma who loves doing DIY projects. It doesn't scare me. It is quiet and I don't notice any kind of kick back. Easy to load the nails, and I can actually hold it against my work and press the trigger with one hand. So many tools are made for men with larger hands. The pressure adjustment sinks the nail just enough to caulk over it. I have many Ryobi tools and am very satisfied with them.

                      Broke on second use
I used it to nail up some base boards with the brads that came with the tool. It worked great. Way less of a hassle than messing with the air compressor and dragging a hose around behind you. So I scaled up to 2 inch brads for some carpentry work. First try, with no adjustments, it penetrated about an inch of plywood. So I adjusted the nail depth to the max and got the same result. Then I adjusted the pressure dial on the back to the max turn (only traveled a 1/4 turn) and got the same result. Figured I might have done it the wrong way and dialed the pressure all the way in the other direction and it didn't even fire a brad. Then when I went to dial it back up to the max, the dial broke off in my hand.

This is one of my favorite investments this year. My husband suggested getting a Brad Nail gun to install barn wood in my art studio shed and it’s amazing!!!! I can see this becoming one of my go to tools. I didn’t get the battery because I can borrow my husband drill battery and that was nice.

Awesome tool! Made my life so much easier. Now I use it for everything. It took like a week to be delivered to my house. I originally bought it to install the baseboard and windows trim but I'm currently doing wainscot on the wall with it. It's slightly heavy but very powerful. Absolutely BLOWN away by this Airstrike nailer. I come from the day of compressed gas cartridges and this is a breath of fresh air! Powerful, sleek, decently lightweight and incredibly designed. Use it as often as I can find an excuse to. Was SO impressed I had to also buy the angled finished nailer!

                        Awesome nailer!
Converted a former closet into a computer work station. Made shelvings and a desk using 3/4 oak ply and I ripped a 1x3 solid oak in half for facials. Driven -+200 1 1/2" and 2" nails with only 4 misfires (nails not shooting out). Drove and sank those nails as I expected. Watched a lot of reviews before purchasing and I'm very happy I did. Inexpensive but it does all what the other more expensive nailers do. Beats dragging my compressor, looking for electrical outlet then connecting the hose. At the end of my work I still have 4 bars on the battery (I was using 4AH). As a DIYer, I highly recommend it, saves you time compare to pneumatic ones. Go and get one!
