    Edge Guide Not Threaded
Overall, the pin nailer does what it is supposed to do. My beef is with the edge guide. They supply you with a threaded lock nob to tighten it down, but the edge guided itself is not threaded. Perhaps mine was missing a piece - there is a slot in it that would accommodate a metal insert that could be threaded. But mine does not have anything like that. I'll likely have to fabricate something that will allow me to tighten it properly. I would have given it a better review except for this problem.

This takes the Hose & Air Compressor hassle away!
I didn't want the hassle of a Nailer that required a Hose and a Compressor attached. I've always loved and purchased RYOBI Products so it made perfect sense to jump in with both feet to purchase the 23 gauge pin nailer to help me kickstart my project, #Desks4TheKids. We started this project to give back to our community that 100% rallies to help anyone out. I've been fully funded through generous donations from local people and local businesses to help me build 40+ desks. We're building more and giving more desks away to families in need while they navigate through our current pandemic.

Its not bad for little projects. Its not loud and easy set up. I only wish it can go up to 2 inch pins. It would be morw used if it can go up to that size but over all not bad.

      Handy
I've had this for several months and like it. It's handy not to have to pull out my compressor and hoses just to pin a couple of parts. I work mostly on small items and this really works for holding glue joints on small projects. Yesterday I used it to put several pins into a scrap of wood with the pins sticking out about 1/2". I then placed several small wood buttons using the button holes on the pins and sprayed them with lacquer. The pins were just enough to keep the buttons in place while I sprayed and since they just sat there, I could easily turn them over to spray the other side.

I always wait a year before posting a review on a tool to make sure to give a good quality review of the product. So, I'm doing so for this pin nailer. This pin nailer is fantastic! I've shot around 10,000 pins since I have purchase it, from everything like MDF to hardwood maple moulding. This stuff is fantastic to use when doing hardwood accents for desks, cabinetry and the likes. The pins go a long way in securing your molding to a surface after gluing and before clamping. I have also used this quite a bit on non-base, wall moldings. They really go a long way if you are making your own plinths as well, to help secure them together without the deep gouge of a nail head and easily covered by paint or caulk, instead of filling large heads with puddy. This pin nailer is probably the best and most non-evasive nailer I have ever used and it is a god send especially on pressure sensitive moldings like MDF. All in all, I'm very happy with my product and I have just purchased a brad nailer to replace my old battery and gas guzzler Paslode nailer. I'm hoping that product will serve me well in the arena of base moldings and such.

It has just about the right power. I tacked up some counter edge molding using wood glue and these pins and it held nicely. Most of the pins went past flush. A couple were sticking out just a bit so i tapped in carefull w a hammer. The counter edge is .75 in and it was being tacked into plywood using the 1 3/8 pins that came with the nailer. Pretty good value.

Previous to this I bought the Makita pin nailer and returned it due to lack of power. This Ryobi has enough power to sink the largest pins every time. I never use my Grex anymore as it's super easy to just grab this and sink pins when needed. I own the Ryobi 15 guage and the crown stapler and they are all very good.

Where you need it, when you need it.
I have several Ryobi nail guns, this is just my latest. I use to use pneumatic nail guns, until I tried on of these. The convenience of not having to drag around a compressor or to even have to have one charged up is worth it right there, but the Ryobi nail guns consistently have the power to drive the nails you need driven to the right depth. The pin nailer is just as good as it's big brothers. If you are doing a big project, would suggest you have a spare battery on hand, but working with the pin nailer, I've yet to have a project that ran out even one battery yet.
