                Pretty good initially
I have a pneumatic pin nailer which works great, but there is always a hose attached to it. My son asked if I would go half in on the purchase because he wanted a cordless pin nailer for his work & projects. I said sure. Comparable in weight to my pneumatic one it felt better balanced. I like the ease of use and LED light. Most of my cordless tools are older Ryobi without a LED and this makes just enough illumination too see in the shadows of project work. There could be some improvements. One would be adding some feet so it can stand upright on the battery. I know pneumatic tools don't sit that way but a two pronged metal feet that could retract in the bottom front handle would be nice. The other improvement would be something to secure the depth adjustment piece to when not needed. Leaving it on the magazine prevents some assembly of projects due ti it not allowing perpendicular tool alignment with what you are working on. When assembling this small white oak tray, many of the pin nails did not fully go in. With I can adjust the air pressure on my pneumatic tool, but this tool used on the white oak left between 1/32 to 1/8 of an inch of the pin sticking out from the wood. I had to use my Ryobi grinder to sand them flush. Overall it seems to beca great tool. Perhaps it will work better after some use in the hardwood I work with.

                  Ryobi has gonePro
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid Ryobi customer for about 10 years now.I've seen Ryobi go from DIY to Pro! I am building an off grid farm in the foothills of the Appiliation Mountians.I have a small shop that runs off solar power. Every power tool I buy is Ryobi. Never had one problem with Ryobi and now I am changing all my pnumatic tools out with Ryobi. As I can afford tools, I buy a Ryobi tool and one day I hope to own the entire line of tools which will help me build my home. People come to my shopand right away notice I am a Ryobi guy and I tell them why. Just got the Airstrike 23GA Pin Nailer, and it's awesome! I have a saw mill and make my own boards. All the walls in the home I am building are wood that I made with the saw mill and this tool will nail all the walls in this home. Off Grid living is the toughest on tools and Ryobi has never let me down. I just finished a wall in the kitchen and this Ryobi tool was used. Photos of my small shop and the kitchen wall below.

                        Nothing beats cordless
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another great tool from Ryobi. Just built a cabinet for a bedroom and needed to attach all the moldings once it was installed. Pin nailer nails held all the moldings tight and left a very small indent for the nail. I tried using it on various hardness and thicknesses of molding. Always sank the nail flush.

Perfect for working in tight spaces
This is my first battery-powered Ryobi product and I am blown away by this nailer. I needed something small enough to fit into an 8"x8" area to build a shoe-rack in our closet. The battery lasted the entire job, driving 2000+ nails on a single charge. It's light and easy to maneuver. The only downside: if you have fat fingers like me, it can be a bit difficult to disengage the safety on the trigger. It works just as well as my other, larger battery nailer. Very pleased with Ryobi as a brand.

No edge guide in the box as shown in pictures.
I've bought one directly from store and there was no edge guide that comes with it in the box. Its the exact same model P318 but picture shows has edge guide on it with inch marking. Mine did not come with any inch marking and no edge guide whatsoever. I asked one of the employee to open another box and it was all the same with no edge guide at all. The ones sold in store are probably an older version. I'm a bit dissapointed and wanted to have that edge guide for repeated nailing with accuracy. Other than that the tool works well and still recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool..a must have for any type of woodwork. I purchased this tool for a cabinet repair. I had excellent results. I am add-in a picture of a 1 1/4" Brad next to a penny in a piece of rock hard oak.
