Q:Support - is there a rebuild kit that includes the diaphragm and flapper? These seem to erode quickly and for lack of replacements, sprayer is useless.

A:Â I honestly can't say, have you reached out to Ryobi customer service? I've had mine a few years now and wouldn't go back to pumping...Ever! I do clean it out after each use, put water in tank and spray until it comes clean and I clean the tip each time at the end. I've found all sprayers deteriorate quickly if they aren't cleaned and the rubber and materials don't hold up to chemicals.

Q:How do i check if my sprayer is clogged?
How do I unclog it?

Answer This Question
A:Â It will not spray if clogged. first move the spray tip and use a thin wire to check for blockage. The second option is the strainer in the container. Take it out and clean it.

A: I use it to spray ground clear. If you don’t wash out the sprayer after each use, the residual ground clear turns to a solid. After each use, I fill the tank with a small amount of water and spray it out. I unscrew the tip and the regulator tip and put them in water. After the water runs out, I put it back together.  This has worked for me.Â

A:Â I own three of these sprayers. Each is slightly different when it comes to the suction tube. One tube had a fine screen at it's bottom and is easy to clean. If you can remove the tube you can back flush the suction tube. Keep your tank clean of slime and debris. Another sprayer's suction tube was a tad too long and actually touched the bottom of the tank and couldn't pick up liquid. I cut 1/8" off it's length. It had no screen on it. The third unit's tube was heat shrunk on the head, no screen and not removable without heating or cutting it off. I have replaced the actual pump inside the head because it simply wouldn't suck up any liquid. The pump is small and cheap, easy to acquire and change...Search online for "Homelite Pump Diaphragm #HM-307942003". It is around $30 online. You can also try using a bicycle air pump and try to blow some air in backwards through the wand end by removing the wand forward of the handle, press the trigger and blow in some air. Do this with an extra pair of hands and be sure the sprayer is turned of. Do NOT use high pressure air as it will likely damage the soft, flexible tubing inside the internal pump. Good Luck.

Weak point on tank will lead to early breakage
This product has a major design flaw on the tank that holds the liquid. There are plastic tabs on the tank where the metal latch connects the top part of the sprayer to the tank. All of the stress from the weight of the tank and the force applied when latching and unlatching the tank is on these plastic tabs. The plastic is about 1-2mm thick and has no reinforcement. Obviously, this is where the the failure is going to occur. This is a poorly designed product.

Air in Sprayer expanded and Broke!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I filled the container up with wet it and forget it and used it for spraying my roof to get rid of the moss and algae. It's not a pressure washer, so it's not a powerful spray. The spray is comparable to a hand sprayer and saves having to pump it up. Finished with the roof spraying, I climbed down the ladder and set the sprayer on the ground. If I were to stop here, I would give it a 5. The problem: When cleaning up, I went to pick up the sprayer, and the tank fell off. I then notice that the cap was broken into a number of pieces, and one of the plastic clips on the motor part of the sprayer that holds it to the tank broke. It was hot that day, and the sprayer was in the sun. So I think what happened is that the air in the tank expanded, broke the lid, and shattered the cap. They are made of hard plastic, not rubbery plastic. Again, it was hot but certainly not as hot as if I had set it down on the roof or asphalt driveway. I would think there should be a relief valve built into the tank to limit the pressure and release any excess amount of pressure that could build up due to the air in the tank expanding. I could get a new cap and bungee cord the tank to the motor part, but I think I will return it to Home Depot. If I do get another one, I will be sure to unscrew the top to release the pressure before setting it down, and when I store it, I will be sure to leave the cap loose.

Easy to use sprayer but measurement markings are w
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have used it twice. When I went to put 2 litres of liquid in it, I noticed that the scale on the container does not read correctly.
If you put in 1 liter, it shows 0.8 on the scale. Two litres of fluid is shown as 1.8 on the scale. Three litres of fluid comes to around 2.7, and 4 litres is just over the 3.5 mark.

The pressure is fine for my gardening needs. If you are looking for something with continuous max pressure this is not the tool. You will need to press the trigger for about 10 seconds and then wait 1-2 seconds and press the trigger again. But is you are using if as a sprayer with a diffused/misting spray, this works great. I use it to mist my mulch with Vinegar to kill random grasses and raise the acidity level to kill mushrooms and other fungus.

Worked good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it to spray a sealant over my pavers, but beware do not let it sit without using all of the sealant. You will have to clean it out if you let sealant sit. So be sure to use it all at once.

great sprayer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sprayer worked beatifully. I used it to apply weed killer before we planted the garden. Love the metal sprayer wand. I used a black marker to highlight the level indicators on the bottle.

Lasts for about a year
We bought one but it lasted one summer. Bought another. Same thing lasted about a year. From the internet, it looks like the pump as gone. We have cleaned all tubes and they are clear. Battery charged. For the cost of these things would not recommend them.

Clogs every other use
The clip that secured the tank broke after a few times. It’s always clogged when we need it to work. Horrible design and not enough power to be worth owning it. With the side clip broken it is now unusable.

Plastic literally fell apart
I can’t possible recommend this product. Second time using it, almost a full gallon of weed killer in the tank, and the plastic brackets that hold the tank to the body snapped off and the tank fell to the ground. Lucky nothing from the tank (which is poisonous) shot out on me. Oh, and I have a gallon of weed killer I dont know what to do with. This thing is dangerous depending on what you have in the tank. I generally like Ryobi’s more innovative products but this one is a failure. Will be returning.
