Great tool!
Great little buzz tool! The blade changes could be a little easier if it was toolless, but overall a great tool! I love it

Worked great to cut the decayed bottoms of the garage door uprights. Pin nailed a small board about one foot up and used as a guide to cut an even line across the board. Put two treated pieces in and called and painted the entire area. I will never have to do it again!

This tool works pretty well. To test it out, I used the sander option as well as the circular cutting tool that come out of the box. I liked that you could adjust the oscillation speed, so you can do detailed sanding/cuts at a slower speed if you would like to. I was able to cut through a 3/4" piece of wood (likely just pine) in about 20 seconds at full speed. The main thing I would change is maybe the LED light placement. I like the thought of having the light, but when using the sanding attachment, the light doesn't illuminate any of the surface I'm actually sanding. I would maybe even like to see a couple of LEDs to choose from; one to illuminate directly around the sander head if using that; and another (or set of them) to illuminate the work surface when using the cutting attachments. The other odd thing is that the adjuster knob includes a 0 option, so when you trigger to turn the thing on, it will blink at you to tell you it's on, but set to speed 0. I don't know if this is a safety thing or what, but seems weird to have to turn the thing on two times. The technical writers also found this important to note on a separate insert of paper added to the manual, like they expected to get calls saying it wasn't working when it was just set to 0 speed setting. I would've been fine with the minimum speed on the dial being "1." So, while the tool functions well, the placement of the LED and the seemingly interesting choice of including a 0 speed option on the speed dial drop this to 4 stars instead of 5 in my opinion.

The Ryobi ONE+ 18 Volt Cordless Multi-Tool works better than I expected. The tool is light, easy to handle, has lots of power and cuts through materials quickly. The power switch and handle are comfortable and fit my hand perfectly. The tool is great for working in tight spaces and the LED light is bright enough to light up even dark corners. My only disappointment is the method used to attach tools—it uses a small bolt that requires an allen wrench to remove and tighten. The allen wrench is stored in the handle which a plus, but it seems that Ryobi would have developed some type of quick attachment for tools. I would recommend the Ryobi ONE+ 18 Volt Cordless Multi-Tool to anyone looking for a cordless Multi-Tool.

The Ryobi multi-tool is my new favorite tool from Ryobi, it’s lightweight and comes with 6 different variable speeds. I recently installed 2 48 inch bathroom vanities and had to make cuts on one to fit it around a pipe, the multi-tool worked like a dream, it was so much easier than pulling out the jig saw, I love that it’s compatible with the battery for my other Ryobi tools. I also used the tool to cut threw drywall which was so much faster than using a little jab saw. My favorite project was cutting the door jambs, it gives my tiling project a professional look. The tool also comes with a variety of attachments and even sandpaper.

This Ryobi Multi-tool is what I call an "oscillating tool". It is a combination saw and sander. It is easy to use and very useful for making cuts in close areas or sanding smaller surfaces. This battery operated tool has multiple speeds and comes with 2 saw blades, wide and narrow, and a sanding pad with various sandpaper pieces. Accessory parts are easily changed with the included wrench. But, be aware; battery and charger are not included. If you do not already have a Ryobi tool that uses the 18 volt one + battery, the separately sold battery and charger will double the cost of this tool.

The Ryobi One+ MultiTool is a good mid-power oscillator for wood, drywall, or similar materials. It comes with straight plunge blade, semi-circle blade, 2 sheets each of 3 grits loop sandpaper and hook back pad, and blade change wrench that stores right in the tool. The built in LED gives good light on the work while the soft grip is very comfortable and balanced when a battery is installed. Variable speed lets you adjust the power over a wide range and I found it strong enough to go through 2x lumber with just a touch of patience while leaving a smooth surface. I recommend low power for sanding because all brands and types of oscillating tools are a bit notorious for melting the hooks off the back pad if you get to sanding too aggressively. It can take other universal blades although I would stick with my heavier corded oscillator for cutting through bolts or masonry. The Ryobi does feel like it would work for grout removal or cement board but I haven't had the need to try those, I don't think I would wnat to use it to scrape carpet glue off of cement floor though. I got it especially because I have other Ryobi ONE+ tools I like and they all share the same battery and charger which really keeps the cost down when you have small jobs for many different tools. If I ever decide to upgrade the battery then ALL my ONE+ tools are upgraded with it! I also really like not having to fiddle with power cords to keep them out of the cutting zone or having them trying to wrap around my feet. Battery power sure beats stringing hundreds of feet of extension cords when I have a small task to do around the garden, orchard, or tree line.

                      Good tool, Poor useable design.
The tool does work very nicely, but there is one fairly major con. Blades are held on the oscillating head with a screw with an allen head socket. An allen wrench is provided to install and remove the screw. There is a molded place in the base to store this wrench. The only problem is the molded area is either to short for the wrench or the wrench is to long for the designated storage area. Either way, with the vibration of the tool while in use will cause the allen wrench to come out of the storage area. There is a high probability of the wrench being lost , thus making it very difficult to remove/replace the blade.

I really needed a tool to take out some pipes sticking out of the ground along with some other small projects and this tool fit the bill very well. I don’t claim to be a handyman at all. This ended up being one of my favorite Ryobi tools due to the ease of the unit and how well it helped to complete the project.
