There's not many rotary tools designed like this and it's perfect for what I needed, typically removing paint for tool restoration, carving and finishing joinery and work on plastics. I really like the versatility of wall mount or bench top use and the attachment storage, which is nicely made. Others mention the noise: it's not really louder than my router at full speed, but I think the pitch is what's bugging people. I've taken to wearing ear protection in the shop for nearly all tools and we all should. It is NOT as loud as a jet taking off, that's just silly. My old Dremel was easily this loud at full RPM. For me, being able to mount this on the tool wall on my clamping table and have the flexibility of a 36" cable drive is ideal. The variable speed stops are more than adequate.... if I needed to fine tune speed down to fractions of an RPM, I'd buy a more expensive tool. I chose the unique design, compatibility with my One batteries, and confidence in most Ryobi tools over other factors like variable speed without presets and marginal noise reduction. Ryobi hit the mark on this one.

nothing to be impress but ryobi got it worst
I use dremmel since my teens and I am over 50 now. This one was my third. I use that very often, many times a month. I bough it in July and got it in August. The shaft broke in less than 10 uses. I never broke a shaft before. I tried to find a new one online because I saw somewhere this is no warranty. It is B.O. every where...hum... that ring me a bell.... I wrote to ryobi and they told me that they are not expecting those until March 2021. Can't wait till that time so I will need to buy another rotary tool of try to find a shaft that fit. I am trying to stay calm but I am really mad right now

I use to own a Dremel tool, but lost it years ago and hadn't needed one for a while. I recently came across a job that needed a Rotary Tool. I thought about getting another Dremel since I had one in the past, but then saw that Ryobi made one that uses the ONE+ battery. I have many other Ryobi tools that use that battery, so I thought I'd try it. The Rotary Tool comes with all the bits shown in the picture. The wheel discs provided were too big for the small area I needed to cut. I purchased a separate pack of smaller wheels made by Dremel and was able to complete my cutting job. I like that the Rotary tool has multiple speeds and the top can store the bits that have the posts on them.

This rotary tool has worked very well as a replacement for 70yo Foredom unit that finally seized up and died. Battery life seems very good (the tool actually came free with promotion for 2 batteries and a case but I was shopping for the tool anyway). Controls are nice, switching bits is easy. I think it is going to be very handy. I used it to clean up and repair this mess including notching rusted bolts to grip them with vise grips.

I have wanted to get one of these mas soon as I saw it on line, got one today with the Black Friday sale. Got it home and Rome it out as quick as I could. I made about 200 little Texas’ and wanted to carve in little hearts into each one, a lot of work, but this tool is going to make it much easier. Also there are always little places that needed sanding, This tool will pay for it self in time saved in no time. The only thing I don’t like about it so far is the cable is very stiff, you do it have the freedom it looks like you would have,

I got this first and foremost for engraving recorders. Yes, I’m a music teacher. It is very noisy and i did have to ask our custodian for ear plugs. The pen is great for ehy i bought it. It works great for the first few before my hand gets tired and then....well....its detail work that i dont have the strength for. I have done some sanding with it and it worked great. Also cut off three quarter inch bolts and it works great for that too. This is very powerful and very capable for small jobs in tight spaces

I Love this tool! I did not regret getting one. It does the job easier especially in tight spots.
