High quality saw at a great price
This saw feels very substantial, yet also ergonomic. Adjusting the depth of cut or bevel angle can be done by hand without needing any tools. The markings are easy to read at a quick glance. I was able to get within 10% of the advertised max RPM using a half-charged battery. I picked up a 40-tooth Diablo blade, but the included 24-tooth blade looks to be good quality. Also very happy that the baseplate can be raised high enough to clear the blade so that it can be stored sitting flat.

More power with Brushless tools
I have over 20 one+ tools on hand. I have owned their smaller (5 1/2") circular saw for a long time. While it is great for quick cuts it does lack the cutting force for other cutting jobs. That all changes with this Brushless 7 1/4-inch Circular saw. I've already cut through a lot of wood, and it hasn't bogged down yet. And the dust pot that Ryobi added on the saw is a great touch.

Cuts like butter
So happy with how fast I can rip/ cross cut 1/2in plywood! Using a 4ah HP battery is the perfect setup! Also rips pressure treated cedar for building stairs/steps very impressed.

I ordered this online and picked it up in store. Used the saw on my first home improvement job in our new home. Installed electric fireplace in our entertainment center. Perfect addtion to my Ryobi garage set of tools.

Important Issue.
This saw is a major upgrade over my brushed starter saw. BUT check the square of the saw, and from others I’ve read some had to sand down some plastic parts. In my case I didn’t need to sand. as it already square flush with out any screw adjustment.

Dust collection port is useless.
The saw itself has performed flawlessly so far, being used to cut cellulose fiber panels. However, the main reason I purchased this saw was because it came with an integrated dust collection port. That port has shown to be useless. Vast majority of the dust comes from the front of the saw, not the rear. Secondly, the blade guard blocks 90% of the dust that does make it to the rear of the saw. So, I retrofitted a vacuum nozzle attachment to the front of the saw and the guide.

What is the point
Even though it performs and cuts wood like warm butter, the design is of the PBLCS300 is flawed. It's flawed when it comes to the saw dust extractor, The saw dust goes flying off everywhere except through the part where you attach the vacuum hose adapter. Why? because that part is practically blocked. I am currently hacking it by using a hole saw to cut away from the blade housing.

Why did they flip the saw?
Why did Ryobi flip the saw around. Now the outer edge is to the right instead the left. Much harder to see your lines. Unfortunately my old saw dove iff the bench and won't track straight anymore. Otherwise I would not have bought this. Might return it
