A:  Any normal jigsaw blades work. I use Diablo brand most often

A:  Why? It’s a completely different beast compared to the old lightweight original tool.  The first thing out of the box you’ll notice that it’s a much heavier tool.. The added weight actually provides added stability while cutting plywood sheets using saw horses and minimize the tendency to “walk” out of the initial score on irregular sized molding,trim, and metal/PFC pipes. Cut denser hardwood’s as easy as pine. And the #1 reason for me is this, I can’t burn up this brushless jigsaw no matter how hard and long I operate it.  I can’t say that for my two jigsaws and a reciprocating saw all 18v that I smoked summer 2021.

A:  Brushless is more efficient, so less heat, more power and longer battery life. There is also more protection in a brushless tool. But power level can be the same, brushless isn't always better. Brushed tools are fine with occasional usage.
