Absolutely Amazing
I always saw glowing reviews but never bought it. After a faulty glue gun, and a missing chord for another, I finally gave in. It’s wonderful! The gun heats up quick and it’s wireless so I could get high on my wall installation to glue my quotes to the moons what were over 10 ft from the ground. I didn’t even have to dance with a chord and extension chord to stretch to make it that high. It’s a high heat so it doesn’t cool off before I could align and place the moons. Since the battery is a bit weighty it does not fall over or need a stand. I put a piece of paper down to catch the drips of glue you get with all glue guns. I didn’t not have the batteries laying around so I had to get batteries and a charger and it lived up to the glowing reviews.

    Get One!
Not ashamed to say this is my most used tool. Fixed my shoe, repaired some moulding, water proofed a hole where a cable was fed, strengthened my wofe’s phone charging cable, temp hold wood pieces together, small woodworking projects assembly, attaxhing magnets to things, attaching foam, etc the list goes on infinitely.

Best feature is the battery acts as a stand!
Forget dealing with those terrible folding stands found on most glue guns, this one just stands on the battery making it super quick and easy to transition between use and set down. It's about average in the time it takes to heat up, and I haven't really pushed the boundaries of run time since I use it for very small glue ups so far. Overall the glue gun is very useful and easy to use, and best of all if you already have Ryobi cordless line its really affordable. Nice touch including 3 glue sticks as well, the ones I already had were the same thickness but a little shorter though they had no issues either. This uses the normal glue stick size, not the mini.

        great glue gun
I just bought this glue gun today and used it on a project that I couldn’t have done without it. Not having a cord is one of the best features of this tool. I just put a battery in it that I already own and it got hot within a few minutes which was actually quite surprising. The glue gun came with 3 glue sticks which I used about one and a half of already. It accepts full size glue sticks. It has an on and off switch which was very easy to use and see the light when it was on. The trigger on this was very responsive and I used two fingers to squeeze it. The tip at the end of this was very precise and the flow rate was as much glue at one time as you would ever need it too. This is very stable sitting upright on a table with the battery inside of it. There wasn’t a thing I disliked about this glue gun. It absolutely met my expectations and is worth the slightly larger price tag. Please hit the thumbs up if this was helpful.

          Great for portable use.
I love the convenience of a cordless tool. This glue gun is no exception. It heats up fast, and has a nice smooth action. It works well for heave duty glueing jobs.

Got this for my wife to use, she is a school teacher. I never thought anyone could have glue gun envy, but her colleagues were envious. Could not have asked for the ultimate in cordeless glue guns. Virtually she could constantly glue! Great purchase. Easy to use. Quick to heat.

This is a great glue gun. I needed more glue than my little glue gun. The big sticks of glue are perfect for arts and crafts. The tree is made with the glue gun. This is just one example of what I use it for.

We have several other Ryobi One+ tools here at work, so when I had to replace our corded glue gun, it made sense to go with this P305 cordless model. It heats at least as rapidly as the gun it replaced, and is actually better at keeping up with heavy use. The internal reservoir is apparently fairly large, because it took nearly a full glue stick to fill it before glue started coming out of the tip -- far from being a problem, this is probably one reason the gun can keep up with larger jobs. Being able to work without being tethered by a cord is a big and obvious advantage, but what I hadn't expected was the improved stability that comes from having the battery on the bottom. Our old corded glue gun was constantly tipping over and leaking glue where we didn't want it; the Ryobi stays where I put it. I halfway expected the battery to make for awkward balance, but I prefer the more substantial feeling the added weight provides. This glue gun is remarkably drip free, largely because it is sitting level and not pointing downward. The trigger is large and makes for easy control: even with stiff fingers, it is easy to use. All but the very end of the tip is shrouded with what appears to be silicone rubber, so there is less exposed hot metal to accidentally touch. I can't think of any downsides to the P305, though it might have been harder to justify the cost if we didn't already have the batteries and chargers. But since we already have a number of tools in the system, it's an excellent addition -- if I need to replace my glue gun at home, this will be my first choice.

This is a great tool. It heats up quickly and lasts for quite a while on a compact 1.3Ah battery. I've run mine for 30 minutes and still had power to spare. It can put out a tremendous amount of glue very quickly. It does drip quite a bit but I suppose there's not much that can be done about that. Being able to go anywhere with it and not worry about plugging in is a great feature. For some reason, Home Depot does not allow ordering this item online. You can only get them at your local store. Very strange that this limitation doesn't seem to affect other Ryobi tools.

              Very powerful hot glue gun
The glue gun heats up fast for small projects. I say small project because, the the 2 amp hour battery only last 10 minutes. The 10 amp hour battery is to heavy to keep picking up.

Likely the most used cordless tool in my house, this thing has been terrific. I use it in construction/renovation quickly marry two objects together prior to nailing/stapling. Where it gets the most significant use is by my wife who loves to craft. Most recently she made a valentines day "love machine" robot seen in the photo. She whipped this thing up in a couple hours thanks to this gun. We have both commented that it would be nice if the glue did not drip out of the gun while on, but this is an issue common to all hot glue guns. It does drain batteries quickly so I would either plan to have a rotation of multiple or use a larger capacity one for big projects. Keep a piece of paper/cardboard under the tip to catch the drips. After turning it on, give it a minute or two to get to operating temperature. I lightly squeeze the handle and when it start to ooze you are good to go.

This is a fantastic cordless tool. Since I don't have any Ryobi batteries, I bought an adapter to use my DeWalt batteries. I used 18 of the Arrow Fastener 10 in x 1/2 in glue sticks to create a Christmas light display and later some other electronics projects and fixing several other things due to the incredible convenience. This glue gun gets real hot and seems to be pretty efficient on battery usage. It is also incredibly convenient to not have There is not a single regret with this purchase. I would highly, highly recommend it for those that hot-glue on the go.

My days and nights are consumed with all things Ryobi. Especially the One+ stuff. I really had no need for this glue gun but I thought it looked cool and a guy can never have too many guns. Imagine my heartbreak when the wife decided to confiscate it and claim it as her own. Plus she stole a battery and charger. Can’t a guy have anything that is just his? She has used this for all things crafty requiring hot glue. It heats up quick. Glue is pretty evenly applied and so far the battery, unlike my hopes and dreams, has never died. Do yourself a favor and buy 2. You’ll thank me later.

Good concept but flawed product. Used the item three times. I liked the concept of a cordless glue gun for doing carton sealing for shipping. I have a corded commercial glue gun that I have had for nearly a decade, but cordless is appealing since you can bring the pack station to the product instead of the other way around. Everything was going fine until I pulled the trigger and heard a "snap" and it stopped working.. Part of the trigger assembly snapped off with a very large air bubble present in the part that fell out, looking it over the part that broke has a very thin cross section and is under substantial loading.. The overall tool looks beefy but where it actually counts its built poorly... Made to be a homeowners christmas gift and sit on a shelf, not an actual tool for actual use.. I hope Ryobi improves this and rereleases a more durable version.. I really liked the concept, but I can't spend $30 on a glue gun that breaks before the end of the first week.

Good Tool. Stands upright on it's own, heats up quickly, doesn't drip much, feeds well, and cordless! None of those things were attributes of the glue gun I purchased about 20 years ago, and as a result I had given up on the concept as pretty much worthless. That said, hot-melt glue seemed like the perfect solution for a recent repair need. Since I already had some One+ batteries I decided to purchase this inexpensive P305, and was very pleased with the results. I've also rediscovered the availability of both quick-set (15 second) a.k.a. "All Purpose" and slow-set (3 minute) glue sticks, which makes this tool a lot more versatile than I expected.

This glue gun is great for the simple fact there is no cord getting in the way. Super nice not having to worry about the cord length or it getting in the way. Can really handle heavy duty work also. Only drawback is that it can drain a battery quick because of the heating element

This glue gun heats up quickly and pumps out large amounts of glue. It doesn't drip much compared to others I have used. If you are using it for a long time you can turn in off when you set it down and stretch the battery. It heats up quickly and stays warm for a long time.

Makes glue projects easy with cordless
No need to place small rugs under the metal base of stools. Glue application is so easy, glue gun stands upright so no glue drips. I purchased a 12pk of 10" glue sticks to use on my four stools which used 3-1/4 sticks. No more annoying metal grating sounds on tile floors AND the stools are now non-slip.

Bought the Ryobi cordless glue gun thinking it might work better than the super glue on some plastic broken items. WOW, did it ever! Then I kept finding out more things to keep fixing (car plastic parts, scuba gear, garage door, drawers, chairs, table, etc.) all in the first two weeks. This is going to give my super glue, staple gun, and duck tape second tier status Now as my fast fixer. My feeling is that a lot of things that I would of thrown away will have a much longer useful life. I think a higher end tool should be on the offering soon (high-low temp switch, different types of nozzles, temp gauge or signal when glue is ready, automatically shuts off when trigger is not pulled for certain time to save battery life). I think that maybe the best feature of this tool is that my neighbor who has arthritis in her hands can use the the cordless glue gun to repair her chair cushions. She could not use a staple gun to do the job. Also, Please come up with your own glue sticks. The day I went back to buy more glue sticks there were none, another customer and I were wondering where to go get more right away. I know I will be buying a lot in the future.

Purchased for my son. He does lots of hot glue crafts. In his opinion it is a very quality product. He especially likes the thumb slide power switch and the red led power indicator light. He has five other glue guns that have cords and this is his favorite. He claims with other glue guns the glue continues to ooze out after releasing the trigger but with this model that is not a problem.

This little bad boy is perfect for my needs. Comes in really handy for outdoor Halloween/Christmas Decor and craft stuff for the kids. Takes a few to get hot, but once it is you gotta work the trigger and the on/off switch kind of at the same time. It really depends on the brand of glue sticks. Certain ones the if too hot pour out like super glue. Ive had only issues with one of my batteries going out fast, but thats probably because I keep them out in my garage where the temp changes alot. Newer modle batteries last longer than the old thats for sure. Honestly as much as I use it for the holiday decore it would be pretty nerdy/cool to have like toolbelt/holster to hold it, spare sticks, or something. All and All great buy if you use it more than once.

This glue gun is beautiful! If not for anything else, the simple fact that you can work cord-free is enough to own this gun. It fits great in the hand, the trigger pulls very nicely and the gun dispenses glue really nice. I like that it doesn't drip, and I like the amount of time it lasts on one charge. I've used it a lot since buying it, and I'm always looking or other chances to use it. It hangs over the bench, easy to get at, in a holder I made out of PVC. Always sitting there, ready to go!!
