Made polishing and waxing my cars so much easier. The supplied pad covers were very thin and marginal quality.Will be purchasing more buffing and polishing pads.

Very Effective
I got the Ryobi One+ Variable Speed Buffer to wax and buff my cars and it works great. I love that it has a dial up speed knob which you can reach while working. Speed changes while it's operating are no problem. The feel of it is very smooth and very certain. It has good balance with stable rotation that avoids drift. I've used it so far on one of my vehicles and it made easy work of exterior detailing. The added handle also makes it easy to operate and control on side panels. I will also be using this on my granite countertops. The tool is such a pleasure to use, I can hardly wait.

Swirls gone
The Ryobi Orbital Buffer is a must-have for DIY enthusiasts. It’s cordless, offering fantastic portability and maneuverability. The 10-inch pad ensures quick, efficient work and the random orbit action promises a swirl-free finish. Comfortable to hold and easy to use, its battery life is solid. However, note that battery and charger are sold separately. Overall, a great tool.

Enhanced Control with the RYOBI ONE+ 10 inch Random Orbit Buffer
The improvements are there right from the outset. User control is very much enhanced when compared to single handed buffing tools, especially for a reluctant body-man like me. This machine is well made and it works with the RYOBI ONE+ system batteries of which I have several and I found them to be very good. The orbital action together with the large, ten inch, buffing pad makes a winning combination for expansive areas that don't have too many intricate folds, bends or creases.

Spreads wax evenly and doesn't bog down with some pressure
I got this Ryobi 18V random orbit buffer to wax and polish our cars and it delivered great results! It comes with an applicator bonnet and a buffing bonnet. The ergonomics are well designed and it is easy to hold with both hands for better control. It has variable speeds that you select on a dial (0-5) and the fastest setting can deliver 3,600 OPM. I started with 1 and gradually used up to the 3rd speed. It can handle some pressure and doesn’t bog down. After 15 minutes or so working with it, my arms got exhausted with the vibration, so perhaps it is advisable to take breaks. It is still a much more convenient alternative to doing it manually. Overall, I am very happy with how the waxing job turned out, how evenly it was spread, and how quickly the job was finished compared to doing it by hand.

Tool is great. Very convenient.
Extremely convenient tool. Did not try in action, but will shortly. Got it to polish my 2008 Camry (still good runner, but requires some makeup).
I tried before different tools for polishing, have to say that this one from Ryobi is designed right and better than ones I tried so far – sufficiently large to work on larger surfaces and at the same time it is not heavy. It also has a speed dial to set OPMs. The handle has convenient rounded grip (~270 degrees) and side handle. Comes with two bonnets (can buy extra if needed).
Option without battery is appreciated as I have a battery and charger from other Ryobi tool.

Worthwhile Upgrade
I already own two older Ryobi One+ Cordless Oribital Buffer models. One is a 6 inch for detailing and the other is a 10 inch for larger areas. They have worked well over the years but when this new model was released I knew I had to try it out. The one thing that stands out for me is that Ryobi improved the ergonomics with multiple grip handles and it just feels more balanced while moving it along the vehicle. The second thing is the variable speed control that allows better control for applying and removing your compounds. I think this is a worthwhile upgrade if you are looking to get into detailing your own vehicles. Made in China with a 3 Year Warranty

Easy to control!!
This cordless random orbital buffer is very easy to use and you have good control of the buffer when in use. The only issue I had was getting the cover on the buffer, not sure if it was the wrong size that came with the tool, but I had to fiddle with it before getting on in place. Aside from that it made buffing my car super easy. I've also used this to buff different epoxy projects that I have done and same result, easy to control the tool and does a good job of buffing my surfaces!

Safe, effective and fast
The Ryobi Random Orbit Buffer comes with two pads - an applicator and a buffer. The huge surface area of the pads makes quick work of polishing / buffing, and the large padded handles provide a comfortable grip and allow for excellent control. While it’s difficult to show the difference between polished and unpolished areas in a photo (and there is a photo), it's clearly visible to the eye and running a hand over polished and unpolished areas leaves no doubt about how effective the buffer really is. The adjustable speed random orbit motion combined with the 10” pads are an effective and safe way to get an amazing shine. I also have the Ryobi 5” dual action polisher, which is great for cut & polish applications, but if your paint is in reasonably good condition, the random orbit buffer is the right tool for the job.
