Hot!
I use it daily to help heat shrink the tape on my packages. Love the portability. It’s not as hot as some corded varieties but enough for my uses. Eats up some batteries so put a big boy on there if using for extended time

Ryobi heat gun
Bought this for my wife when she is crafting, came in handy for her so she can dry a certain painted are so she could add in like eyes or blend in other colors. Plus I just got done thawing out a small frozen pipe, here in AR when have a cold snap at -7 and -17 so came in really handy. I would definitely recommend this heat gun to anyone.

The cordless tool I’ve been waiting for! I need this for shrinking heat-shrink wiring insulation and this did not disappoint! The two included nozzles clip on easily, and do a great job of either concentrating the heat (nose cone) or directing it toward a pipe or wire bundle (J-hook). I would have liked a built-in flange to store these attachments on the tool, but I found a hook-and-loop strap around the base does a great job (see photo).
A high-intensity tool like this draws a lot of power! I was hoping to get 3 or 4 one-minute uses on a battery pack. I tested my gun by using a 3Ah battery (Ryobi has them up to 6Ah), and timing 1 minute continuous on, 1 minute resting off. I was very impressed to get 9 continuous power cycles on one 3Ah battery! Obviously you’re not going to use this all-day in a factory setting, but for almost all my wiring projects, where I need 10-30 seconds of heat to shrink the insulation, this is perfect! Thanks, Ryobi!!

I'm a Milwaukee man and it works as good as...
I'm a Milwaukee man and it works as good as one. My brother has the Milwaukee heat gun and I couldn't find one and I got the Ryobi. No regrets, and I saved a lot of money for same quality.

Good enough
I needed a cordless heat gun for outdoor landscape wiring. The Ryobi is slower to heat up than my cheap HF gun. But it gets the job done heating shrink wrap.

Overall good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got for some painting projects. Works great, heats beautifully.
Only 2 downsides
1) eats battery life like crazy
2) wish it pumped heat stronger towards project
All in all not a bad product for the price

The heat gun works for shrinking heat-shrink tubing, and it is nice to have portability, but it drains the battery quickly and really doesn’t blow very hard. Not a good choice for paint or sticker removal.
