A:Â The tool will cut off when it over heats to protect the internals. Have had this happen a few times during heavy use. After 15 mins or so, went back to working without issues.

If you have a second battery, try it or a larger capacity battery.Â

Most Perfect Tool!
Have a few nails sticking out?? Using a metal blade this will cut them off. Now it’s time to sand? Well just add your sanding tip!!! What if you need to cut a little piece of wood? Using a wood blade this tool will do it!! I love this multi tool it works for every need and is extremely powerful having its brushless motor. Highly recommend! Also love the fact it’s cordless!!

Light years better than Milwaukee...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tool is very powerful and it has a tool free blade change. By far my favorite feature are the magnets in the blade change area, they hold the blade in place while you are locking the lever, unlike the Milwaukee where you must hold the blade and screw the middle down. Works really well for drywall too.

Great for trim work
Had to cut some drywall and floor trim. Works great! Did not big down like my brushed multi tool and had plenty of power. Tooless blade change, seat off light, dial speed control. Nice ease of life features.

No instructions
Instructions are useless. What does the dial do? How do I attach the blades? There isn't even an illustration labeling the parts or features. No how-to videos from Ryobi. No useful info at all. I literally cant use it as I can't get the attachment on.

Nice tool. Not near as much vibration transferred to my arm as electric one I own and do not have to worry about cord getting in way. Has a extra blade lock compared to others I have owned. After raising lever up (normal) has a metal bar directly on blade that you slide to side and then pull up. The weight at first I thought was a little heavy but after using and not having the cord pulling down the back I think I like it better, battery kind of balances. Comes with 2 blades and a sanding pad for tight places.

I have been wanting one of these RYOBI ONE+ HP 18-VOLT BRUSHLESS CORDLESS OSCILLATING MULTI-TOOL ever since I watched my brother use his to quickly take out a piece of the baseboard that needed to be replaced. The tool comes with 3 heads that allow it to be used for various purposes. There is a sanding disk, a rotating cutter head and a wood cutting blade. It also has a variable speed dial so you can control the speed. I had a bit of difficulty getting the blade release lever to raise, but once I was able to figure that out, everything else went smoothly. One of the neat things is that the package came with a nice chart of all the Ryobi 18V products they offer. I had no idea there were 175 of them! I love all my Ryobi products as they last and always work when I need them to. This one does not come with a battery pack, so make sure you have a charger and 18V battery.

If you are reading this review and you are a homeowner handyman shopping for a good quality, well built, sturdy and easy to use Multi-Tool, in my opinion this is a GREAT option (cannot assess from a contractor usage) this one is my suggestion.
As with most new battery tools of course it’s Brushless, the advantages of brushless over brushed motors are decreased weight and higher tool and battery efficiency. As you can see my 3 Ryobi batteries fit.
It has a built-in LED light illuminates dark work areas for improved visibility. Comes with 3 accessories a straight blade, best for plunge cuts and a round flush oscillating saw, a sanding pad w/xtra sand paper (each has different grits). I do wish the blades were labeled (or printed on the instruction/box somewhere) whether they are for wood or metal, I assume wood only.
It is so easy to switch blades/pads, you flip up a handle which is on the top front. It’s away from where you hold onto the tool while operating. On/Off switch is just below that, easy to slide with your thumb, it’s NOT a trigger that you need to continuously hold on (reminds me a lot of my Dremel drill). It’s Speed adjustment is a dial on the underbelly directly below the on/off.
I only tested on wood since I didn’t know if any blades included were for metal. Number of speeds selections are plentiful; the settings are 1 – 6 and many speeds in-between. I found there is more vibration at the higher speeds, not unexpected though. Super comfortable to use, has nice weight and is a great size with plenty of power. Without hesitation I say it fits all my needs and expectations. I would not hesitate recommending this tool to family and friends. WELL done RYOBI!

Well designed and well made. Feels good in the hand, has several important features. Although this particular item did not come with a charger or battery it did come with a plunge cut blade, a flush cut blade and a sanding head with 3 pieces of sandpaper. The sandpaper is the small triangular hook and loop style, commonly available. The blades are likewise commonly available and not proprietary to Ryobi. Changing options is easy without tools. On/Off is constant and doesn't require constant pressure. There is a very effective speed control. Maintaining tool stability is fairly easy because you can use both hands if necessary, but that isn't required. As usual from Ryobi this is well thought out and does the job for which it is designed very well.

This was thought to be an upgrade from my nonbrusless version. There are some things I like other not so good and for me do not seem to be an improvement.
What I do like is the brushless power and quick release with no tools to change the blades. The tool also has a good balance and does a great job cutting wood, even with an old blade.
What I don't like and I think the industrial engineering team has a big miss on this one. Replacing the trigger switch with an on/off switch and the speed control being a dial is not an upgrade, actually it is more difficult to use. The simple variable speed trigger is much easier to use and control while using the tool in a variety of situations. Sometimes I need to slow down while repositioning and then speed up. Also sometimes I need a burst of speed to maybe get through a nail or a knot. This new dial is in an awkward position to use it to continuously change speed. The on/off switch is also in an odd place to be used in awkward situations.
My old one also accepts the Jobplus heads, I think it was a great concept just did not need to change to other heads. Another big plus on the old one was the feature that I cold rotate the head in 90 degree increments to use in awkward situations/positions.
Even with the above comments about the differences, this us still a great tool and works great!

To start off, I love the LED light on the tool. It seems like most projects that you would use a tool like this are in darker areas and I appreciate the light. It comes with two cutting blades (I assume both are for wood only by the looks of them), and a sanding attachment with a few pieces of sand paper. It cuts nicely and quite smooth as well. I am excited to get some metal cutting blades for this. It didn't come with a battery, but I have other Ryobi tools with compatible batteries. It doesn't have a trigger to control the speed but rather a knob. I like this as I don't want to hold a trigger down for prolonged periods of time (think of using a dremel). The quick detach for the blades is easy to use as well. I guess if I gave it one con, it would be that it is loud on full speed, but you should be using ear plugs anyways. As a side note, the finger groove is oddly placed, but not a con or a deal breaker.
