I'm one of four electrician brothers, raised by an electrician father, who started in the trade when he was 16. Which was 53 years ago. I, myself, have been working in the trade for 15 years. Paired with this, I'm extremely picky about my tools... honestly to fault. All that said, these are my very favorite, tried-and-true, wire strippers. Namely, it's because of these two features- 1. They are perfectly precise in how deep they cut into the insulation, with a slight resting spring-back after you make your cut, that allows you to slip the insulation off like butter. 2. Their romex-insulation strippers (for 12-2 & 14-2) are situated at the tip of the pliers-rather than deeper in the jaw like nearly every other competitor I've seen (even Klein, which generally are my favorite hand tools). The reason this is a big deal is because, as any electrician knows, when stripping the outer insulation on a piece of romex, it's most commonly in the far back corner of whatever box they've landed it in. If, at that point, you're using a tool with the romex strippers deep in the jaw of the pliers, you're going to leave a ton of insulation left of the romex-at least more than I'd prefer; something like two to three inches depending on the box. The National Electric Code only asks for 1/4" inside the box, and I find it personally annoying packing any number of wires into a box with a ton of unneeded insulation taking up my precious space. Also, just for balance, the one con, if any, is that the locking mechanism doesn't work particularly well. Now, I know it's likely that only one, maybe two people will read this. But in any case, I'm grateful to have gotten my back-of-the-junk-drawer option out into the open where it may yet do some good.

Great action on these wire strippers. They cut/strip romex like butter. Good price point as well. Time will tell if they supplant the comparable Klein dual wire strippers in my toolkit, but right now I really like working with these.

Bought 2 pairs. On one of them the locking clip does not keep them closed. Both items had packaging that was bent & taped which didn't look so well for gifts.

This tool delivers, been using for a few weeks now. Very easy one stop #14 and #12 cable sheath stripping; slight grip pressure and an easy pull and the sheath slides right off. They are faster than conventional cable sheath rippers and simpler than tools with separate 12 & 14 sheath stripping grooves. Comfortable grip. The spring lock is not robust, but that's a minor distraction given the positive attributes of this tool design.

Work well and comfortable to use. Only issue is the locking clip is practically useless and rarely keeps the strippers closed. Its either a bad design or no quality control.

    Nice strippers
Still getting used to it. It's a bit different shape and feel than Klein strippers. I love 14/2-12/2 insulation stripper. It's a nice stripper but I have only had for a short time so time will tell.
